My initial review of this property was positive, and it was based primarily on a positive check in experience and initial viewing of the room. Upon further review, the WiFi did not work, the TV remote did not work, the outlets took two hours to charge my phone, the bottom of the toilet wasn't clean and there were stains on the carpet. I came here to visit my family before I start chemo and I brought my service animal with me. Two days into my trip I took my dog out to use the bathroom and upon the entering the hotel I was asked by an older black man what my room number was. I told the man my room number and mysteriously my key stopped working. I went to the lobby to tell them my key no longer worked and I was told that my dog was not a service animal even though I submitted proper paperwork at check in and reserved this room two months ahead of time. They literally locked me out of my completely paid for room on purpose! I went back and forth with the person at the front desk until he realized it was about to escalate so he gave in and renewed my key. This absolutely ruined the rest of my trip as I was afraid to go anywhere for fear of being locked out again. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again or recommend it to anyone.

We rented a room with 5 people in our group and there were only 3 full size towels and when we asked for 2 extra they said they would only give us new towels if the ones we have got dirty. The floors also appeared to be dirty. Just wasn't a good stay.
Very nice staff, very clean. Large bathroom!!! Even with limited amenities due to COVID it was a pleasant stay. They couldnt do a big breakfast but provided a bag breakfast for the road.

the king suite was very roomy. I didn't like that there wasn't much selection in the vending area. It needed to be restocked. The location was quiet and nice.
New and clean facility with very nice people. It is also close proximity to eateries and groceries.
Customer service is excellent, BUT the maintenance of the property not very ... shower curtain mildewed, room musty smelling. The public area entryway and downstairs area well is maintained. The breakfast area need some upkeep/new appliances. Our first visit was 3 years ago the property was in first class condition. Kudos to s the staff!

Thank you for letting us know about your stay, and I do apologize for your experience with the Wingate by Wyndham Slidell.I understand your frustrations in your Emotional Service Animal being questioned, however according to the ADA Emotional Service Animals are not permitted where Service Animals are. ADA Service Animals must provide a service to their owner, and according to the ADA Emotional Support Animals are not permitted as Service Animals. I do appreciate you bringing this up, however we do not appreciate the way you treated my staff regarding this issue. My staff was abiding by rules and laws set forth by the ADA. It wasn't until you made a scene in the lobby that they had no choice but to stop the issue.I am sorry that the law soured your stay with our property, however they are applied for reasons.I thank you again for letting us know about your issues.

Hi Tony, I am sorry you had a less than stellar experience. I looked back at our guest logs, and it looks like you booked two double queen rooms, and put more than the allowed amount of people in each room. Additionally, housekeeping spent a lot of time in those rooms due to the amount of food and trash. It doesn't look like you complained about the Air Conditioning issues until the cops were called from you threatening the staff, and beating on the office door when you were asked to bring your child (who was vomiting all over the breakfast area) to the bathroom. I apologize if you did not like that we asked you to bring her elsewhere due to health reasons, unfortunately we have other guests that we need to take care of as well.
