I checked in to hotel around 11 PM on Thursday, May 10th. The woman that checked me in was unfriendly, and I felt like I was putting her out by asking questions. Bad first impression. Other than that it was just "OK". I was not happy about paying for parking. I chose the Metarie area because I felt it was outside of NOLA and away from the airport - which would mean not parking fee.

The view from the penthouse was spectacular. The valet service was great. I'm

Great view as long as you're in a room facing either the lake, or the city. Don't bring a car there because they will fee you to death with parking rates. Twenty five bucks per day if you self park, or twenty two per day if you valet. Since there is no "public" parking, you don't have much of a choice. And the outdoor exercise center?? You can use that at an additional eight bucks per day because it's supposedly not "owned" by the hotel. Other than the breakfast plate left on the floor outside the room next to us for three days and about a hundred dollars in parking, it wasn't an overly bad stay (if you don't mind getting extra fees to death).

Nice hotel very clean inside friendly staff. Great location not to far away from downtown new orleans & felt safe staying here. Didn't like the $22 extra for valet parking. But, that's cheaper than paying for extra parking downtown. Overall great location will stay again

Hotel was did not go above our expectations but also wasn't a complete let down. Walls are THIN you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbor does... especially at 4am. The hotel charges for parking $24+ a day... just thought everyone should know that. The pricing wasn't bad, but in that area there were TONS of options who offered comparable pricing & a parking lot (for free). Will never stay at this hotel again.

I try to stay at the Marriott Lakeway in Metairie whenever I am in the area. I visit often for work and I really like the location of this hotel. It's also very clean and the valet staff are SUPER FRIENDLY. Getting to the highway is convenient. The hotel is also close to the airport, maybe 15 min. or so. There is a mall neary and a lot of restaurants in the area. If you like Pho --- you have to try PHO MICHAEL on 18th street. It's amazing. I go every time I am in the area! The hotel does have a restaurant and bar as well as a marketplace for coffee and salads during the day. It's always been good when I've ordered. Things to consider - There is a daily parking fee for the garage which is almost the same cost as Valet, so consider that before booking. It avg. $20+/ day. Valet is $22/ day + tax. The rooms are really nice in my opinion and they are comfortable. However, the beds aren't the most comfortable and the pillows are the cheap pillows that flatten out. You end up needing to stack 3 pillows just to get a decent amount of cushion. All things considered, it's still my go to hotel in Metairie. Mostly due to convenience, location and cleanliness.

Booked a stay here for 5 nights which included free breakfast. Never received the free breakfast coupons except for one day. We asked them to swap that for the car parking that was $20.00 a day instead. Haven't receive that credit until now inspite of our repeated requests.. Also the customer service was not good at all

Parking a bit pricey. Beautiful hotel. Would stay again. Only issue room service didn’t clean room 1 of the days we left and went around town.

Hotel rooms need to have microwave and fridges. My 20 years of staying with Marriott I never been in a room without and this hotel didn't have if so I had to request a fridge and had to trash my left overs cause no microwaves SMH.

Excellent excellent excellent service great. Room comfortable view amazing. Food good. Friendly & curtious

Great place to stay but please don't go across the bridge unless youre knowledgeable about it

If going to this hotel, plan on being up early the housekeeping staff beats on every door in the hall yelling out their presence starting at 7:45 am. On the rare days that most people allow themselves to sleep late, it appears to be this hotels challenge to make sure that it's thwarted. We heard the maid coming from 3 doors down, as she beat on every door with her keychain and stating "housekeeping" three times, like Sheldon on the Big Bang Theory. But without the conic relief. Regardless of a do not disturb sign, they ensure that you are up with them to start your day, albeit before you had the desire . Now, whoever rates hotels by stars, missed the mark on this one. The first floor is nice, but the rooms pale to the 4 stars we have stayed at. I would say it is 3 at best. Overall it was a dissappointing stay. I will not return

Booked for Club Lounge Access/Concierge service through Orbitz - upon arrival found that Club Lounge is closed on weekends (and my stay was over a weekend). There is a significant upcharge for this access, including complimentary breakfast and snacks all day and none of that was included because the lounge was closed. This booking should not be available if the amenities are not being provided. Staff attempted to correct with free buffet access - but that did not compensate for all-day snacks access, "happy hour" and the privacy of the Lounge experience. On Sunday morning specifically asked for room cleaning by 1pm - just for good measure. I left room around 10:30 am, returned around 4pm and the room was still not cleaned. Unacceptable. The staff's response - even worse. Excuses around "not on that floor yet," when a specific request had been made and "guaranteed". No attempts to make it right with any distractions, discounts, extra amenities, etc. - so I was left to sit in the lobby and wait an hour or so while they sent cleaning staff. This is the second experience like this at a Marriott in the last 60 days. I'm reconsidering my preferred travel chain. Room service is definitely critical issue for me.

great location. easy to get anywhere in New Orleans

Very good !!!^^ I slept like a log Room is big, Everything was clean and in perfect order. Over all I was happy with my stay at this hotel. thank you for service

I was great expect for the smoking area and we couldn't find the pool! The beds were extremely comfortable!

The overall stay was good but the AC was preset couldn't get it to an comfortable temperature the parking garage is an accident waiting to happen nice hotel staff was awesome and great location

This very clean and nice hotel. We were there for the Saints game. Everyone one at the hotel was great.

Well for one the hotel is actually a lot closer to New Orleans than I thought maybe 15minutes from French quarter. The hotel has free parking which was a plus as well. The room was clean and overall nice. However, I think the customer service could be tuned up. When I called to verify the room would have 2 double beds I didn't know if I was talking to someone on there personal phone or if that's just how they answer the phone. She didn't seem very friendly. Then when we checked in (1am) we were trying to figure out which way to the room. The front desk person just watched us wonder aimlessly for about 5 minutes without asking if we needed help. No worry sir we will figure it out lol. Lastly, I calls the front desk for extra towel , no one ever came. I said man glad this hotel wasn't expensive !

My hubby and I were on a staycation (vacation at home). I booked an executive suite, but upon arrival I was told they didn't have any executive suites available and had to get a standard room. I wasn't even refunded my difference. However, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. I suggest calling to make sure they can accommodate your expectations.
