Nice, comfortable stay in Metairie

My daughter has stayed here twice in the last two weeks to avoid a long commute from our home in Mississippi to her new job in New Orleans. This hotel has been a wonderful "home away from home" while she is working and looking for an apartment in the area. Everything is clean and appears newly renovated. The staff is friendly and very helpful especially the wonderful maintenance staff that quickly responds to fix any issue that arises. She said the bed is incredibly comfortable. She LOVED their breakfast options and has thoroughly enjoyed the gym as well. The back courtyard is lovely around the pool and fountain. It's like a peaceful oasis in a bustling city environment. As a parent, I love that the hotel is secure. The back entrance is gated and entry can only be gained with a hotel key. The hotel is only a few blocks off of Veterans Boulevard. So there are plenty of great dining and shopping options nearby. This hotel was a perfect choice close enough to everything you want to see in New Orleans without the chaos or high price. We very highly recommend it. *I will also recommend that you drive around to try coming in through the back side of the hotel. Merging traffic coming from Causeway can get a bit hectic. However, this is a pretty quiet and safe area beyond that.

All the staff were very friendly. I didn’t get his name but one of the gentlemen that was working the check-in counter saw that I was looking at excursions to do. He gave me a recommendation and the swamp tour was beyond great. Thank you for the recommendation.

I recently stayed at this hotel in New Orleans, for 10 days a couple of days ago. Front Desk and and housekeeping staff were great. Unfortunately my experience at the breakfast area was very disappointing. The two ladies that work in the breakfast area have a terrible attitude, treating people POORLY. They were EXTREMELY rude and unfriendly, showing no sense of customer service at all. They did not treat guests with kindness or respect, which created a very unpleasant atmosphere to start the day. This is something the hotel should SERIOUSLY improve, as good hospitality makes all the difference.

Sheriff and poor customer service

Good location but thats about it. Upon arrival the front desk clerk had no customer service at all. She seemed upset to be working on a Saturday afternoon. The next day we woke up to have some breakfast and the employee that was in chare of the breakfast area seemed like a sheriff guarding her county. No greeting upon arrival, watched every step I did when I was serving myself my food. She actually kicked a guest out the area for apparently not being up to par in the dress code. I didnt think there was a dress code to eat some continental breakfast. The guest wasnt wearing anything revealing, dirty or inappropriate. That was very disappointing to see. The next day we had a Warden who also didnt greet upon arrival but noticed she was looking us up and down to make sure we were dressed correctly I assume. Location and pool was great but i dont want to feel like a convict in prison when eating my breakfast.
