Room was clean, as well as entire property. Breakfast was good.

Our go to Hotel when visiting New Orleans.

Particularly appreciated the friendlines and efficiency of Debra S. at the breakfast bar.

The rooms are beautiful and very clean. I did have a problem with my first room. The deadbolt on the door was broken. It was very hard for me to open from the inside and at one point, a maintenance person had to use a crowbar to get me into the room. They said they had fixed it, but when I returned, the door was stuck again. The desk clerk said that since it was the weekend, there was nothing she could do. She could move me to another hotel (but all my stuff was locked in the room). She was extremely rude to me. They did get me in after about 45 minutes and switched me to another- larger-room. They told me they bumped someone to give me this room. I didn't think they should have told me that as it made me feel bad. I spoke to the manager the next day and she was very attentive to my problem and said she would speak to the employee. The rest of the staff was extremely pleasant. I would stay there again.

It's very qipuiet and cozy and have a good codition to walk around. But it is now partly under construction.

Great room with a fireplace, very large and clean. Location a bit difficult to find and to get to though. Good hot breakfast. Accommodating staff. Fast check-in and out. Nice place, felt safe. Good restaurants nearby.

the first danger for travelers was that it was multiple buildings, not one enclosed compound. The second was that the outside door on one of the building was wide open and would not lock or stay closed. The third was that on my second night there in my second floor room, the window was propped open with a non-Marriott rag and the window curtains were closed upon my return to the room. i.e. had I never checked, I would never have known the room had unsecured access. The front desk seemed unconcerned when I notified them, so I set up an obstacle course and left the tv on and slept with a knife by my bed. As a Gold card member I will be sure to check in the future that safety measures are sufficient at whatever Marriott I happen to have to stay at for any trip

Just great what can I say we really had fun in the pool and the kids loved the hot tub

I love this hotel! It's a few minutes away from the French Quarters which was perfect for me. The staff was friendly, room was very clean. We were on the third floor pool side. Didn't hear anything from the other residents in the pool. Close to shopping mall and nice restaurant's without the tourist prices. Can't wait to go back again.

Great stay!! With the family very clean and no bad smell

I thought the room was overpriced. I tried to get a senior discount, but was told I would have to deal with the main office. I thought $13.95 for breakfast was too high. I imagine the food was good; however, I thought that was too much to pay since my room was too high for my budget. I stayed there because I attended a bridal shower for my grand-daughter. I live four hours away and at my age going and coming the same day was a little too much.

My wife, four girl and I had a wonderful stay. This was minutes from everything. The rooms were clean and the free breakfast was always good. The staff helped out with every need. For a large family we will be using the hotel again. Definitely worth the value.

We enjoyed our stay at The Residence Inn in Metarie. It is a great value. The rooms were adequate for our needs. The breakfast was above average for this type of hotel. We were there during Mardi Gras but there was plenty of food for breakfast and the staff was very friendly. It is an easy drive to the CBD. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a comfortable place to stay with a friendly staff.

Stayed here for a cheer competition at the New Orleans convention center March 2012. Only about 10 minutes away from downtown. Located about a block away from the interstate, so very easy access. Breakfast was phenomenal both days. Desk staff very cordial and helpful. If you do not want to pay $300+/night downtown, this is the place to stay if you have a family.

This was a last minute booking for me as my husband's flight home from Israel was changed. I didn't know what to expect but the Residence Inn has now become our go to New Orleans getaway spot.

The staff was very nice and accommodating. For the price the hotel was within a reasonable distance from all the festivities of mardi gras especially the french quarter. I left with no complaints whenever I go back to New Orleans I wouldn't mind staying there again.

Really great. Took the family down for the 1/9/12 BCS National Championship game. Just a great location. We took quick and reasonable cab rides into all the festivities in downtown New Orleans. Great location to get away from all the hysteria, but not too far away. Thanks to the RI Metairie, LA team for a great stay at your wonderful facility! Roll Tide!!! Big Dave in Alabama

Its not easy finding somewhere for 5 people in one room. This hotel allowed us to do just that whilst being very inexpensive. The location wasnt ideal - perhaps a ten minute trip off season, but a good 20-30 when there is traffic. The fastest way to get there takes you near the Superdome so plan ahead if its a sports day! The staff were attentive and friendly, absolutely no issues. The room was spacious and comfortable though the sofabed was rather thin and too soft. The kitchen has everything you would need.

There were three of us so we needed the space. Residence Inn by Marriott gave us this space. The bed was comfortable, feather pillows (foam pillows are available upon request) and the couch was fine to sleep on. Quick 10 minute drive to the French Quarter in New Orleans. The breakfast was nice with a good variety. This hotel is older so not as updated as I usually prefer BUT I WOULD stay there again.
