We arrived before check-in time yet did not get a room until 2 1/2 hours after check in time. All we requested was a QUIET room with Wi-Fi. After waiting as others checked in and not getting our room, we inquired why the long wait. At first there was no reason given. Finally we were told by a staff person that he was trying to give us an upgraded room. We did NOT request and upgrade. When we finally got to our room, we looked out the window we saw a construction site that abutted our building. No one was working, so it was quite. The next morning at approx. 6:00 a.m. we awoke to a full construction crew working on the project. After 2 days we complained and were told we could pack up all of our things, check our bags with a porter and get another room later in the day. At this point we no longer trusted that a new room would be a decent room, given the initial deception of placing us in the noisy room, so we declined the offer. Would never stay here again.

You just can't beat the location of this, being only a couple of blocks off of Bourbon street. Hotel staff were very nice and helped us get directions to different places. The only downfall I have about this is that they charge you around $32 a day for parking, plus a bunch of different taxes on everything so while we were expecting our stay to be around $800 for the week it was really over $1100.

Both times for breakfast they were out of eggs. First time we had to wait over 10 mins for them to finish cooking. Second morning they literally ran out and told us they weren't planning on putting more out and that was around 8:30am. That was one reason we chose that hotel.. because of the hot breakfast. I was told someone would take a look at my account...possibly credit it but nothing was done. May have seconds thoughts next year on choosing the hotel. We pay a lot of money and try to save on eating out and then this happens... not a good experience.

We were only in NOLA for a concert. So, only for a night. This hotel was so nice and the bed was especially the best! Nice memory foam mattress! It's also a very quick walk to Bourbon Street. We will for sure be staying at this hotel anytime we go to NOLA.

Stayed at Dauphine Orleans for mardi Gras this year with e group of 6 guys. This hotel was in a perfect location. One block off of Bourbon. Close enough to be part of the action, by far away enough for rest and peace a quiet when needed. Free breakfast was OK. Only complaint is they ran out of food by 930 ON Mardi Gras day. Other than that, this will be our go to hotel for our many trips to NOLA. You won't be dissapointed with your stay!

Being only a block off of Bourbon street was ideal location. We walked EVERYWHERE. Beautiful French Quarter. Our room was not facing the street and was nice and quiet. But had it been on the street, i think that would've been okay too as there weren't bars on Dauphene street. Room was comfy, Bathroom spacious, towels fluffy. Breakfast offered large variety and was good. Staff helpful and friendly. We got there hours before checkin so they stashed our luggage for us and off we went to walk the area. Bailey's bar (on site) was pleasant too. There was a restaraunt called RJ's (i think) right down the street that was delicious and had live music on the Tues we were there.

This was our first time in New Orleans and our first experience with Mardi Gras. I wanted to visit for a few days before our cruise. It was quite an experience to say the least. When I first booked, I didn't realize we were in Mardi Gras season and NBA All Star weekend. I wanted to stay in a hotel with character and charm, not a chain hotel that was shiny and new. I loved the fact that it was a 100+ years old.

Hotel was conveniently located & easy walking distance to many restaurants & NO highlights. Staff were incredibly helpful & friendly. The free breakfast was generous & the complimentary drink was a nice touch. Definitely recommend staying.

Staff was wonderful, helpful and all their recommendations where on point. Room was clean and Quiet. Hotel was lovely. I felt safe and taken care of.

This was my second stay at Dauphine Orleans, but the first staying across the street at Hermann House. It was clean, comfortable, and close to most everything in the French Quarter. Very nice pool and complimentary drink in the historic May Bailey's bar. Staff was friendly and printed our boarding passes for us. No complaints, other than it is close to Bourbon Street. Depending on which room you have, you may have more noise. We werected fine, but we're closer to Rue Dauphine.

The hotel staff was very friendly, but this only hotel we have ever stayed at in the French Quarters that did not offer services to unload and carry bags to your room. You had to get a cart and load it yourself and take to your room and unload it. The first room that we checked into was so hot, that we had to ask for another room. The next room was also warm, but a little cooler. We had to request a portable fan for the room for our entire stay. The floor near the air conditioner vent in the room was damp and by the end of our four night stay was wet from the closet to the bathroom and out into the hallway. The staff did come to check on the air conditioner but said it was blowing cool air and the hotel was just old. Nothing more miserable than being in New Orleans sweltering heat and then coming back to a hot room. I can deal with warm but the temperature never came down from over 80 degrees in the room. The last morning we could not wait to load our luggage into our car so that we could cool off.

We enjoyed staying at Hotel Dauphine! Easy walk to Jackson Sq and anywhere we wanted to go in the French Quarter. Great breakfast and helpful staff. The system was down when we were checking in, but the staff did all they could to make the longer than normal wait better. We had a great experience with the bell services and parking staff. It was $40 to valet, but worth it and we felt safe leaving our stuff in our car while we toured. The only thing I would do differently next time is stay in one of the cottage rooms or ask for another floor. We were on the 2nd floor right over the parking level. We could hear them pulling cars in and out even late at night. That didn't ruin our experience though..turning on the tv solved the issue.

This hotel was very conveniently located close to the French Quarter. The pool proved to be very refreshing after a day walking around the city, and the staff was always very friendly and helpful. The room's air conditioner worked well but was pretty noisy. The bed was amazingly comfortable!! If you park a car in their garage, please know it is $36/day. That policy is not widely publicized in the promotional material.

The hotel is very conveniently located, near the St. Charles streetcar line and away from the crowds and noise of Bourbon Street. The beds were very comfortable, but there was a lack of storage options in the room. The morning breakfast buffet was standard, but disorganized. Three out of five mornings there were no utensils other than forks. The pool water was cloudy and did not make me want to go for a swim.

Had to wait over an hour for rooms after checking in. WiFi is OK in the lobby, but non-existent in the guest rooms. TV in the room didn't work. We were rushed out of the rooms by housekeeping staff right at checkout time, even though we had to wait around fro them the day prior. The staff were friendly enough, but rarely helpful.

Love the respite at Dauphine. Quiet, lush, beautiful quaint pool area. Staff was fantastic!

The hotel was the perfect distance to Bourbon Street. I felt that the hotel was extremely clean and the staff was exceptionally kind. Breakfast was good and doesn't end too early. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again.

This hotel has the PERFECT location 1 block off Bourbon Street. It's on a more residential street so it's quiet at night. The rooms are spacious for the age of the hotel. Overall hotel shows some age but that's the charm. Decent breakfast buffet as a bonus. We will definitely stay here again!

The hotel is in a great location and facilities are great. The staff was outstanding.
