This property had very bright security lights, which intruded into the rooms, so if you have issues with light while sleeping then this unit might not be for you.

It is conveniently located: there are nice restaurants and grocery stores nearby, and it is on Canal street, one of the main streets where you can take a streetcar to downtown. The place is clean and cozy. The room is well lit and provides a microwave, a tv with free Netflix, a mini-fridge, and a hair dryer. The microwave and the mini-fridge helped a lot. The bed is big and comfy, although the comforter is a little weird--it's not contained in a case. The only thing that bothered me when I was there was the noise. The walls and floors were so thin you could hear everything outside and upstairs. When the person upstairs moved around, the noise was enormous. The staff was pretty responsive though.

They canceled my reservation for invalid pay method and refused to review my card numbers with me. I called my bank and confirmed that no attempt to charge my card had been made, and he still refused to review my card numbers with me. In the meantime, he allowed someone else to book our room.

Over all good stay. Minor flaws, ( Microwave did not work, laundry machines had problems, mold in bathroom) Area and property very safe.

Great place, but the communication of the staff was absolutely horrible.

I was a little skeptical about this place when I booked it but turned out to be a great experience. Confirmation of my booking and instructions for when I arrived were emailed and texted to me weeks before my arrival. There's no front desk or anything but it was simple to get to my room with the provided instructions. It's essentially a house they converted into multiple rooms. The house is definitely older but in good condition, no funny smells or weird noises. The room was very comfortable with a nice bed, clean sheets, flat screen TV, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, closet, and iron. Bathroom was also nice with bath/shower(tub had jets but didn't try them) and clean towels. The unit had its own temperature control as well. The only negative I could give is that the WiFi is pretty slow. Its less than a 10 minute drive downtown and a straight shot down Canal Street. There are plenty of places to eat around as well. Check-out instructions were texted to me the day before check-out and very simple. It was a very smooth and comfortable experience. Would definitely stay there again.

Very good location. It’s actually a converted house which makes it feel more like home than a motel. Plenty of room towels coffee etc. key codes for building and room are in email. Never talked or saw anyone and didn’t need to. I parked on canal street in front of house. Happy with stay !

This was an ok spot with some small issues. I had a lot of trouble contacting the front desk before and during the stay. The room also had no smoke detector and a tv antenna hanging out of the ceiling where the alarm should have been. The dresser also partially blocked the closet which was a challenge to get into the closet. All in all if I paid $60 a night I would have been satisfied but paying close to $100/night for a basement room was wayyy too much.

We loved our appartment. Super clean and confortable. Nice decor on the whole building as well. Only thing we got disappointed, there was not breakfast included or availble at the facility. But a very nice stay nevertheless.

This is a hostel or air bnb type hotel. There is no 24 hour staff or daily room cleaning. That's fine but you just need to be aware of it. The location is great. There are many bars and restaurants in that area and it is walking distance to the French Quarter. If you aren't a walker then the trolley car stops out in front of this hotel. Overall a great value and location. I will stay here again

Beautiful house right next to trollies. Great way to get to downtown.
