We stayed here with 9 couples and a dog, and overall the house worked very well for a group our size. With 9 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, there was plenty of room for everyone.One thing to understand before booking is the layout. This is essentially two separate, nearly identical units — one upstairs and one downstairs. There is no interior connection between the floors, so you have to go outside to move between them. For a large group, this actually worked pretty well because each floor has its own living space and similar layout.The location is excellent if being close to the beach is your priority. The house is NOT directly on the beach, but beach access is extremely close — walk about 30 feet from the front of the house, turn left, and you're basically at the beach. It's about as convenient as you can get without actually being oceanfront.Another big positive is the location next to the edge of Myrtle Beach State Park. It makes the area feel much more secluded and quiet than many parts of the Myrtle Beach area. The house is located between Myrtle Beach and Surfside Beach, so you will need to drive if you want to visit the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, restaurants, or the main areas of Surfside.The private pool out back was a big plus.
