Camelot by the Sea 405

The experience was horrible. The condo was filthy. We arrived late and immediately called Elliot’s and told them about the condition of the place and requested our money back or another condo. They replied it was all cosmetic and they would send someone out to clean and fixed the many, many things that were wrong. They had no intention of giving us back our money or getting us in an CLEAN Condo. Everyday the. MAintenance guy came out to fix one thing or the other. I ended up getting a hotel because I refused to stay in filth but my brother and sister were not financially able to. I would NEVER rent another Condo or anything that Elliot’s rental is involved in. It was a bad experience.

The property was nice, the furniture was a bit dirty and the master comforter was really smelly so we didn’t use it. The place was stocked with dishes , pots and pans. Over all it was a nice place for the price but I’d bring your own blankets.

Great place!

Amazing view, can hear the ocean waves! Having the attached parking garage was a tremendous bonus. The only part I didn’t like was having keys, I would have preferred a keypad entry. I would definitely book this room again.

The property is a great location. It is on the older/less updated side. The carpets were pretty dingy but the rest was clean-ish. Sofa and furniture was very stained and dirty. Be prepared to buy things that general VRBOs come with (trash sack, toilet paper, etc).

Okay but…

The location and parking of this property is phenomenal. The rooms were cleanish. The carpets weren’t cleaned and the bathroom floor was wet when we arrived. I vacuumed the carpet so we left it better than we found it. We put the fan blowing on the floor and that took care of the wet bathroom issue. I noted in a review from October 2022 that the unit had an issue with the dryer not drying. That doesn’t appear to have been fixed and still takes a long time to dry (had to run 3 times) & the dryer is broken inside and it actually tore a string off of a brand new bikini. We cleaned out the dryer vent (as it had a gaping hole where filter was broke) and pulled out a Walmart bag of lent. This unit needs replaced. This condo also has only 2 KEYS. Where do you stash a key when you are on the beach? 😂

Very clean and great location

We have stayed at Camelot By The Sea many times, it is hit and miss on what you get. This condo was just as it was advertised, very clean, and the owners have kept it updated (my only suggestion would be maybe getting new mattresses). I would definitely stay here again.

Unhelpful Management

The property itself is gorgeous. It is ocean front, on a calm spot of the beach, with a very short walk to the shore. The photos were very accurate and the rooms were very nice. Everything functioned - except the AC! Our AC unit went out before we ever arrived and the room was 76° on a cooler day. We called management and were told to just turn the AC off and back on again. After about a day of cycling the AC on and off, nothing was fixed. After numerous calls to management, they finally sent an AC repair company - they discovered a clogged pipe and a full, clogged filter. After a hot day on the beach, we just wanted to come back to the room to relax and cool off - but that didn’t happen for the first 2 days of our 4 day stay. Everything else was amazing - check in was easy, the room was beautiful as advertised, and in a good location. Management - not so amazing.

Good location, horrible hotel but great pools

Location was awesome but our hotel room was horrible, couple of the lights didn't work, was very dirty, one of the room door didn't lock, no toilet paper was given to us, the worst part was we found a bug running in the laundry room, so gross, i asked my husband to look for it untill we found it :// But the pools were great especially the hot tub and lazt river, my kids loved swimming

The garbage disposal didn’t work, the dishwasher backed up in the sink so we couldn’t run the dishwasher. The dryer took 3 times to dry anything. There was an empty Pepsi bottle in the bedroom under the bed skirt that had been there for a while from the looks of it. I tried calling all the numbers on papers on the fridge and the numbers on the email I got to let them know about the disposal, and every number they hung up on me. So we stopped by the office to let them know. They said on 10/10/22 that someone would be out the next day to fix it. No one showed up all week to fix anything. We love the condo complex but we will not be renting thru elliot again. We will use the one we went through back in 2019.

Great location

The best thing about Camelot 405 was the location. Directly on the beach, but also had pool options available. Walkable distance to lots of shops and restaurants. The condo itself was a little underwhelming. I know beach condos are probably hard to keep clean, but you couldn’t walk around barefoot with getting your feet filthy. There were very few extras. Only 3 towels per bathroom so I had to wash towels 3 times in a week. The dryer took 2-3 cycles to dry the towels. One single dishwasher pod to use for the week. Absolutely no cooking basics like salt and pepper. A half a roll of paper towels and no extra rolls. No trash bags. Broom but no dust pan. One single hot pad, no oven mitts. Just a few extras would have been nice. Beach chairs would have been wonderful! When we arrived (late check in) we only received one key. Other condos had keypads, which were more convenient. Overall it was very basic and generally clean. It just didn’t seem like any extra effort was made to make the condo more welcoming. I expected more for the price.
