Probably the most noisy cleaners I have ever experienced in a hotel. Every morning they were screaming at each other in the corridor. Woke me up every day.

Very close to a train station and walkable to many tourist sites. Great dining options nearby. However neighborhood felt unsafe at night, dirty streets, and questionable businesses in proximity. The room was nice enough but basic, shower was very small and difficult to use (ex: couldn’t turn up temperature), but overall clean.

This was a great hotel 2 minutes from the main train station. The breakfast was amazing and includes champagne! Staff very helpful and the rooms large and clean. The area directly around the hotel did have strip clubs and men hanging around but there are many people about that it wasn’t unsafe, just very unpleasant. My 12 year old even saw a man strip searched by police so a bit unsettling, and this is something the hotel can’t directly control and probably related to being close to the train which was a bonus for early train trips and big bags. The plus side is that it was a 5 minute walk to the old town. I would stay again.

The room was clean and well maintained. Very good service at check in especially as I had checked in online beforehand. Bar staff were efficient and became friendly. A good location very close to the main train station so you can be there within 45min of leaving the airport on the S1 / S8. Only thing to note was a few men around the area who seemed to loiter. There is enough people walking about to make this not a problem if you are a couple / group but if I was a lone traveller (esp female) then I might be a little concerned.

Breakfast on the first day was not good. On booking, I had notified that I was GF and DF. I mentioned again on checking in. My reception at breakfast the first day equated to “So what.” No assistance. The days after, I had the greatest of assistance. Thank you.
