Eurostars Book Hotel4.0 out of 5.0

My husband and I stayed here at the end of our honeymoon after 6 weeks in Europe. The fact that we were on our honeymoon was stated in our booking but we were given a room with 2 single beds?? My main point as to why I would not recommend staying at this hotel though is that it is VERY noisey. Even though we were on a high floor, you could hear everything through the walls, doors closing, people in the corridor- you can hear full conversations! Luckily we wake up early as the vacuum cleaner was going at 8.30am and it was loud. I was so glad to have earplugs as honestly I wouldn't have had any sleep. The hotel DOES NOT in anyway feel like a 4 star hotel. It has a cheap feel in the rooms, the hallways are dirty and there is no carpet (probably why the sound travels so badly). We had teas in the room which were not replaced the next day! It is about 10-15minutes walk to the main square but the area around the hotel is not pleasant (lots of drunks and beggars etc) and I didn't feel safe walking near it at night. Overall, not a pleasant end to our trip.
Room was clean and quite large for Europe standards. The staff were attentive. Nice quaint lobby bar and breakfast in the restaurant was good. Munich is already one of the most expensive cities so you pay more and get less than other places. I recommend it.
The hotel itself is modern and bright (even on a rainy day), the staff is friendly and helpful. There is even a sauna in the basement. A lot of interesting things are really in walking distance, otherwise there is the main central station around the corner. Happy to come again!
The hotel is located just one block from the central station where the airport bus stops, which makes it very convenient. However the area around the station is maybe not the best and most attractive in Munich. It never feels unsafe though. The area where the hotel is located seems to be the Arabic quarter of Munich and most hotel guests seem to come from the Middle East. The hotel is fresh, clean and nicely decorated. The rooms are spacious and the functions well thought-through. The breakfast buffet is good and plenty to choose from. The price per night was also good (around 100€/night including breakfast). The main issue with this hotel is the noise from the corridor. A lot of children were playing and running outside the room at all times of the day and the cleaning staff were CONSTANTLY operating outside our room (from 8am to 2pm), slamming doors and talking loud, which made it impossible to sleep in or have a rest. Due to this I cannot give this hotel the four stars it would deserve.
We stayed here for 3nights. I would actually give the hotel 3.5 stars. We took the Lufthansa bus from Munich airport to the hotel. I would highly recommend the bus. Was very convenient and comfortable. The hotel is a 5-8min walk from the station. We managed to do it with our luggage even though the sidewalks at some points were narrow. The area around the hotel is ok. Lots of restaurants but also lots of empty beer bottles etc. The room was very oddly shaped. It was narrow and long and we found it difficult to walk around. The beds were 2 single beds joined together. Always an irritation when you end up in the middle of the bed. Pillows were terrible as well. The bathroom was smallish. With not enough space to leave toiletries. The shower was good with a good flow. Breakfast was good. With a good variety and spread. Only there was no live egg station. Breakfast staff were also really friendly and approachable. Hotel was in a good location for sightseeing as it was close to the main train station. For the price paid, I would probably look for an alternative if I was in Munich again.
At the last 4 nights if our 2 weeks' trip to Germany & Austria, I thought this hotel will take a good care of us but I was disappointed from the very beginning. The hotel is so overpriced & overrated when you evaluate the service level & value for money. We paid almost 200€ per night to get nothing really distinguished in return. Sound proofing is poor, I many time though that someone is opening my room door then discovered that this is the door of a neighboring room. Reception kept busy on phone for so long , really long and when I went down to ask for service, the guy wrote it down, but never did anything! Generally, reception staff was not nice enough especially evening staff ! The room is poorly equipped (considering the hotel rate) ! Rooms are clean and spacious but again, we stayed in 1st floor and it noisy out there because of poor sound proofing, if a car is parking down there or a driver is playing loud music, your nightmare has arrived ! Overall, disappointing experience, my third time in a Eurostars hotel after Barcelona & Budapest, probably the last !
The eurostars is a modern and stylish hotel very close to the historic center (Marienplatz etc.) of Munich. We had a quiet standard double room on the 6th floor with a kingsize bed that really deserved this name. Very comfortable. Modern and stylish rooms, everything bright and shiny (good spanish taste :-)), clean bathroom with the toilet separated and a very nice rain shower. Staff, especially at the reception, was very nice. We rented two bikes for one day for a very reasonable price. I would rate the price/quality very good in general.
This is a Nice hotel at good value in the city centre of Munich. The street where the hotel is located is close to the central station and with an international and a bit rough touch. Clean, friendly staff and excellent room (503) where you can notice that they have thought about details to make it practical. Aircon was very good. Breakfast is plentiful and only thing I missed was an alternative to dairy yoghurt (for instance soyghurt). Hotel seems to attract middleeastern guests as these are in majority. A big negative thing is noice from the hallway. Doors slamming, kids playing but most of all very, very noisy cleaning service that seem to go on and on from about 8.30 to late afternoon. Shouting, slamming doors, moving wagons, etc etc. You would expect the few rooms next to yours to be cleaned in a few hours but not here. They dwell outside the room for hours. Cleaning itself is good but dont expect to sleep in as you will need earplugs big time. However top shelfs in wardrobe had not been cleaned in a long time and very dusty. A tip is to walk on the parallell streets when going somewhere as they are much nicer and quieter.
We had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. It has very helpful staff (special thanks to Mouad) and comfy facilities. The breakfasts are amazing. Great central location close to Munich central train station. Perhaps our only mild complaint is the room was a bit difficult to maintain a good temperature with the air con, it was either very cold or very stuffy when the air con was turned off. Overall we were very happy with this hotel.
Check in went well, but the room is relatively worn down! Bathroom is very small and the toilet seat was loose. Ok, things can happen ... I asked the front desk to provide an extra pillow and blanket for my daughter. In the evening we returned and had to realise the garage was occupied and the double parking system not working. They sent me to another one next door - I asked them to call and was told full too. Had to go to one two blocks away. Not a big deal. But don't expect 3 ladies at the reception to help you with your luggage while no other guest around. In the room, the toilet seat is fixed, but the screwdriver was still around ... Bedding not! Called again and it was delivered soon. But no wifi :o(( I seriously don't understand so many positive reviews - maybe we where just unlucky!
