Restaurant was good too! Wasn't sure one of the tall male reception men liked Americans!~
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is very near the Marienplatz & across the street from the Viktualienmarkt. Our room was very clean and spacious with a working A/C and a comfortable mattress. Even though our room faced the Markt, it was quiet. Now the bad news: we had the flattest, saddest pillows I have ever used. We asked for more pillows and got more of the same. Getting in and out of the shower/bathtub combo is challenging. Both my husband and I had concerns and some near misses. Avoid the restaurant downstairs. We were served instant coffee at breakfast. The restaurant is understaffed and the prices for what you get are shocking, even by hotel standards. Much better and less expensive options are plentiful and just steps away.
Everything was nice. Great beef in the restaurant. Only 30min of wifi per day?
the location, staff and rooms are first rate.loved everything about it.
Room with a view - a view of the fabulous Viktualien market in Munich. Large rooms with very generous amenities. Very clean (must be the German thing). Extremely friendly staff. One of the better hotels at a reasonable price in the center of Munich. Loved it!
My spouse and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Not only is the location perfect, but as vegans we had the most amazing vegan items on the breakfast buffet every morning. They mentioned that they had begun it about 6 months earlier and they have received nothing but positive comments. There are many other non-vegan items, but for us it was sheer bliss. When we arrived we were disappointed to find out our room did not have a bathtub. We were offered an upgrade to a room that had a tub, but for a cost. Initially not happy, we came to appreciate the upgrade immensely. It was a wonderful room and well worth the extra we paid. The hotel staff was friendly, accommodating, and helped us out at every turn. We had such a delightful stay at this lovely hotel and plan to return on a yearly basis.
VERY FRIENDLY, GOOD SERVİCE, TESTY FOOD, very special cocktailys
We stayed at this property for two nights and came away impressed. It's centrally located which enabled us to walk virtually everywhere. Prime tourist attractions are nearby and there are plenty of good shops, bars and restaurants also adjacent to the property. The staff is excellent and provide a high level of service. There's a great lobby bar associated with the in-house Japanese restaurant. Fantastic cocktails. The availability of umbrellas in the lobby for guest use was definitely appreciated during our rainy stay. If I had to complain, it would be the split set up of the bathroom with the toilet in a separate room without a sink. Not very sanitary.
The hotel was excellent, the location is the best you can probably find. The staff super friendly. Very nice rooms
The Louis hotel is ideally located in Munich historic city center, 100m walking distance from famous Marien Platz and its various attractions (rathaus, historic monuments, bars, cafes, restaurants, etc.). It is also very close to the U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations, making its location ideal for moving around the city. The hotel service is good, though not exceptional. The room was averagely appointed, but rather clean and comfortbale. The breakfast is average and lacks variety.
