The Holiday Inn Express was located in a great place, very close to the Hirschgarten subway station with endless connections to the city including directly to the airport. Hotel has a modern decor, spotlessly clean and with friendly staff. Good choice for breakfast and all good quality. Hotel room was on the small side, but it's very clean and with a modern design. Good quality Internet in the rooms (~10Mbps down, 6 Mbps up). Very good rates for this hotel too
Modern building, recently turned into a Holiday Inn Express. Stayed here for 4 nights in an executive suite on the fourth floor. Number 423 was very nice situated, with view over a backyard away from any city noises. It was very clean, a separate WC and a large bathroom with both a walk in shower and a bath are always a plus. A Nespresso-like coffee machine, safe and minibar where all there, just as an ironing board and iron. The WiFi- connection was fast and stable, no irritating login procedures needed. The bed was comfy and I got to sleep good. The design of the room is somewhat special, with all that black and red tones. But it was OK, tough I really did disgust the tapestry which is far too busy and not really suiting a room where one wants to relax. The hotel has a modern, clear and spacious closed and indoor parking garage. All positive things but still there’s sure a lot room for improvement: First of all the staff. Both check-in as check-out where very unpersonal. The fact that I’m an IHG Rewards Club elite member was totally ignored, no information about breakfast times where given. Check-out was charging my credit card and saying bye in a very uninterested manner, without even making eye contact. They don’t even ask how ones stay was. Afraid of feedback? When I installed myself in the lobby for a late lunch around 2.15 PM it took no less than 45 minutes (!) before the responsible staff member turned up to take my order. An order which took another 25 minutes because they forgot to transfer the order to the kitchen. So I lost more than 1,5 hours with my ‘quick lunch’ (a Club Sandwich) this is not acceptable for a business traveler. Breakfast room is very nice but the buffet is rather basic. Nothing special, there is sure better bread available in Germany than served here. No fried eggs, no beans. Not everybody likes the very light baked scrambled eggs. It is for me a mystery why they have a room service button on the phone if nobody answers these calls. I have tried to order not less than 3 nights room service. Called using the special room service button no less than 4 times each, nobody picks up. I had to call the reception, which then put me trough. Luckily the served food is very good. Both the steaks as the pasta dishes I ate where delicious. I stay the whole year trough in hotels of the IHG group, so also Holiday Inn’s beside Crowne Plaza and Intercontinental Hotels. This Holiday Inn has potential but sure must learn how to be an efficient and welcoming service for its business guests.
This hotel was recently taken over by IHG and so everything is new. The good: Spacious modern rooms Excellent sleep quality - comfy bed and good soundproofing Five minute walk to the train station The not so good: Didn't stay long enough to find any
I stayed here from October 8th to 21st.Rooms are very clean, neat. Breakfast is really worthful, once you are traveling to Europe. Here breakfast was best among few hotels, where my friends also stayed. All the staffs can speak English. they have a nice bar. its only few minutes walk from S- Line and U-Line
We booked this hotel for 7 nights. The location was very convenient (a 7-8 minute walk to Harras station), comfortable beds and very clean rooms. The breakfast, while a wide variety, did not extend to hot breakfast options for vegetarians (other than cereal, cheese and croissants). Also, there was no one to help with luggage, we arrived late at night, tired after a long flight with 4 suitcases and were bluntly told by the reception that we had to take care of our own luggage and it was a rather long walk to our rooms dragging our suitcases. Other than that, it was a typical business hotel with the expected level of service and facilities.
Rooms are new and well organized. Decent restaurant for breakfast and wide variety for a not so cheap price (18 EUR). Well located next to SBahn station (Harras). Convenient and substantially cheaper than hotels in the centre. Booking includes free cancellation
My first visit in Germany & for Oktoberfest at Munich. Booked this hotel at last minute as an IHG platinum guest on their app. We were given a standard room upon check in & it was small & not comfortable for 3 Persons. Upon request to upgrade - they expressed regret that the hotel is full - but they issued us an additional standard room free of charge - acknowledging my membership level. That was so nice of them. Next day - we were upgraded to another bigger room - which had a separate area of sofa cum bed. Rooms - I witnessed 3 separate rooms - with different views & floors. All rooms are very nicely & trendily decked up with vibrant coloured curtains & accessories. The storage areas did not have doors.. only curtains - but that was ok. Oktoberfest venue was around 3 Kms away & 6-8 min by car or 25 min by walk. Hotel has underground parking - but that was extra charges of 16 euros per day. Breakfast spread was very good. I was coming from Italy where I stayed at a Crowne Plaza & this holiday inn had thrice the size & spread of breakfast than a superior brand hotel of same IHG group. Overall - a very comfortable stay !
We stayed here beginning of October for 2 nights. It's less than a 10-minute walk from the Harras Station on the U6 (Blue) line which is only 5 stops to Marienplatz. The first thing that strikes you is the warm and friendly greeting you get when you approach the check-in counter. The bedroom and bathroom are clean and spacious. The hallway carpet does have an awful smell and you have to rush quickly to your room, or to the lift, whichever way you're headed. The first morning we were there, we opted for the breakfast which was quite good. But it was a little pricey (18 euros) so we decided to eat out after that. All in all, I agree with most of the favourable comments about this hotel from other reviewers.
We found this lovely hotel a little away from the action but close to transport. Well worth the train ride to town. For 93 euro we had a comfortable, quiet room with a park view. The service was amazing and the price included a wonderful breakfast. We wanted to stay longer but they were full so we moved into town to an old hotel for 3 times the price! Will definitely stay here again. They have a second hotel of the same name. This was Westpark.
I stayed 3 nights in August , hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood , check was good , I had two rooms close to each other , bit small for the 3 people , extra bed is smaller . Staff is attentive , very helpful and speak good English . Very close to train station , which was very convenient , we used U-Bahn , also took regional train to Fussen from Munich HB. Wi fi is not good , very spoty had to use my data all the time , so if you rely on good Wifi this is not the good place . Breakfast is decent but not the best , I had in Europe , they have good choices for cold meats , no choice for hot breakfast , especially no option for omelettes . Overall this is a decent place , I needed Taxi from hotel to train station , front desk was very helpful and arranged Taxi for me . I would stay here again if I visit Munich again .
