Rooms funky, modern. clean and comfortable. I had a room to myself and couldn't have imagined this being for two people. Its is small and the space used well, but didn't like the shoer / toilet set up if I has someone else staying in the room with me. Great breakfast and fantastic staff. Was during Oktoberfest so great location and easy walk to the grounds.
I needed a hotel for a one-night stopover in Munich for myself, my wife and another couple. I chose the Hotel Sendlinger Tor because it is located not too far from the Hauptbahnhof, and the price was relatively low for Munich during Oktoberfest (which was NOT our reason for being in Munich.) We got two rooms, each with a private bathroom and shower. The decor is very plain, and the desk in our room was somewhat worn, but our room was clean. Breakfast was not included in the price, but there is a bakery close by, where we were able to get coffee and some pastries early in the morning. The hotel is located in a busy area (on the edge of a major shopping district), so there was some noise at night, but not enough to seriously disturb our sleep. The front desk personnel were helpful and efficient.
We visited the Oktoberfesten in Munich and the location of this hotel to the Oktoberfesten is just great, about a five minute walk. The rooms are modern and for one person or a couple great. If you travel with more than one and you are not a couple make sure to ask for twin beds.
We are 3 friends and we're very like the place is located very close to the festival 5 min by walking, 7 min walking from U2 trains, the crew are nice and polite, the room an amazing with big windows and all the area with good restaurants and coffee shops. If to summary it, this is good place and the orice is good as well.
Nice and chik little hotel, close to the city, central station and the Oktoberfest area. Nice Big breakfast, ok wifi and fine and simpel rooms with everything you need. The top rooms have a balkony with a view.
Fancied its decor and modern urban style. Ideally located just next to Sendlinger Tor. Friendly staff and the rooms were clean and with a nice view. Really liked the breakfast. Overall a great experience for its price and I will definitely come again in the future in my next visit to my beloved Munich.
Came across this lovely hotel by mistake.we had a booking at the Buddy hotel but something went wrong. They cheerfully made a booking at the Cocoon hotel for the same price. The hotel was excellent with a 2 storey apartment (for 4 people) Room was very large and clean. Was only about 200 metres from main station and we had a great Chinese meal in the next street. The breakfast was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay if you need somewhere near the rail station.
Stayed for 4 night for a business convention in town. The hotel staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and modernly designed, breakfast is excellent and the location is fantastic. Overall a great experience! Will visit again in the future.
The air conditioning does not work and the windows do not open. The room was stifling hot. I was presented with a plug in fan, but this was of little use in 37c. heat. The room was really small and the shower and toilet were claustrophobic if you shut the door. I used the lift, but the staircase looked very dirty or badly marked. I would not return to this hotel.
The hotel was excellent. Staff were super friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was a nice quality and the room was very comfortable. I don't know if the pods come in different sizes, but the one I stayed in would be perfect for business travel or couples. The hotel has a really nice little alpine theme.
