The receptionist were lovely & welcoming, the hotel was not far from local bars & was easy to get a taxi. The rooms were comfortable & clean. There wasn't much choice of food to eat passed 10pm so get your supplies way before late although there is a restaurant attached to the hotel which serves breakfast & dinner but closes early, thete is a local pizzeria & an "off-license" that doubles as an Indian takeaway. The trams & metro station are near by.
Business hotel with decent size room. Our rooms was facing the mail street so it was noisy when we neede to leave the window open for fresh air. It was generally clean until accidentally the dove cover was not completely in the bedsheets case and I saw it was full of dark liquid not washed. Breakfast had small buffet ina nice area were you have view to the garden. Italian restaurant offers food pizza for an evening meal.
My experience was not good. When I arrived on October 1st. in the afternoon, the reception seemed to be unfriedly. During my stay, I had problem with the door lock. Then I waited more than one hour to enter into my room. Do not waste your money.
Very nice hotel, very friendly and welcoming staff, rooms quite spacious, clean and tidy. Bed very comfy bathroom comfortable and well heated, bed linen very clean, a/c very efficient, garage very small
This is an average hotel that charges highly inflated prices when the city is busy. I paid €900 for two nights bed and breakfast. I chose the hotel because it was close to the underground and it had a fitness room. The underground station is very close and convenient for traveling throughout the city and from and to the airport. The fitness room is a joke, it would be more honest to remove it, it was too hot and the only ventilation was to open a window. The breakfast was the normal do it yourself, not reflective of the high price paid for the room. I would expect at least eggs cooked to order but never offered, I even made my own coffee. The room although clean it was small and not reflective of the high price paid. WiFi was available throughout the hotel. The reception area is so small guests are asked to pay the night before they leave to prevent big ques building up in the tiny reception area. The reception area is like something you would find in cheap motel in an industrial area. I feel I was taken advantage of, I will never return to this hotel and I will avoid all hotels owned and operated by the same company, they do not have any respect for the customer and clearly do not believe in gaining repeat business. The only redeeming factor was the restaurant in the evening it was excellent, I will write a separate review.
Your typical no frills Mid European city hotel. Very good location in terms of access to public transportation. You get your 3 or 4 day ticket or 7 day Isar public transportation ticket, which is not so easy to find in the ticket machine menu, from the machine at the subway/U bahn station just very nearby, than the city is yours to explore. Train leaves every 6-10 minutes usually, and it is 4-6 stops to the stations at the center. If what you need is a good nights sleep than make sure you ask for a room not by the street. When we were checking out I complained about it, receptionist told me they could have provided us a better one for 20 Euro more for each night. I wish she would have told us when we were checking in at the begining. Breakfast is pretty good. Just be careful, they start collecting food about half an hour before advertised breasfast ending time. This was new to me. Seems like staff wants to be done by the end of announced breakfast time. Rooms are small. Almost impossible or impractical to ask for a third person's bed if you are family of three.
We are in Munich (Me, My wife and 9 months old daughter). Temperature is 30 degrees and there is no AC!!! The guy at the reception was so nice to offer a fan, but still this didn't help my 9 months daughter to sleep at all. Leonardo has different branches all around Munich and yet no one offered us to change branches. Very disappointed especially that my company usually sends some of our customers to stay at Leonardo While visiting our branch in Munich. This will definitely change now and we will go with another hotel. My 9 months daughter isn't happy at all!
The hotel is very well located with the underground 30 seconds away. In five minutes you are at Marienplatz - city center - and from there, everywhere! But the room is so hot that becomes unbearable... so we opened the windows but very early the noise from outside breakfast wakes you by 7am. The shower base is rather small !! And the worst part: as I was eating breakfast, the staff was taking food away even though I arrived on the time announced by them for breakfast!!! Distastefull and unprofessional l!!! The room it selfie was on beside temperature and no air conditioned. It was cheap, so it's fair!!!
Hello All I visited this hotel on 22nd June for one night stay. Here are points to be considered. 1. Good English speaking staff at reception. Quite helpful too. 2. Near to U Bahn station. Hardly 50 meters walk. 3. Room was very clean and tidy, with all toiletries in place. 4. Kitchen inside the room with coffee supplies and nice coffee maker. 5. Excellent breakfast spread. 6. Bit far from airport. Overall, value for money.
Nothing particularly exciting about this standard Leonardo property, offering all the usual basic Leonardo comforts and facilities. It's just south west of the main city centre, a relatively short UBahn ride to Marienplatz and easily within UBahn reach of both the airport or the main train station. Not a whole lot to do in the neighbourhood directly around the property, but there are a few cafes and one large supermarket. The hotel has nice, clean, modern rooms, although the bathroom is a bit cramped, with only a shower stall, no bath tub. All the usual room amenities are offered, including kettle, tea, coffee, mineral water, safe, TV, hair dryer, but I didn't find an iron or ironing board. My room had a fridge, microwave and working stove top, but I don't know if that's standard. Useful nonetheless. There was also a small balcony with seating facing the garden which was very nice. There's a very nice, tranquil garden where you can sit and enjoy the breakfast buffet, which as always for Leonardo, comes with many options, hot and cold. The only minor issue was that the elevator wasn't working when I checked in and hauling luggage up the stairs was neither easy nor appreciated. The staff never offered to help. Once on the floor, there were a few other steps to manage, too. Not ideal for a hotel. Most guests have luggage, surely? Staff were friendly otherwise and helpful, but as always with Leonardo, they are sticklers for check in at 3PM with no flexibility. They will store your bags until the magic hour is reached. Perfectly clean and comfortable property in a good location, offering good amenities. My only big gripe that there is no aircon. It was very hot during my stay and the room was extremely over heated. The windows do open, but that creates noise and indeed bugs! Aircon would be really helpful. Wifi is free and reliable.
