We stayed one night in connection with a flight out of Munich the next day. The room was spacious, clean and even comes with a free bottle of water. The folks at the front desk are very helpful A couple of notes: * a cab to the airport is about 70 euros and takes about 20-25 minutes * the cab may not take credit cards--- we were told at the front desk that all cabs do, but ours did not and we did not have enough cash, so the driver got angry with us * the first room assigned to us, although designated as non-smoking, absolutely reeked of tobacco smoke so we had to change rooms--- don't be afraid to ask if the room you are initially assigned to was smoked in * the Ibis hotel directly across the way from the Novotel has a pretty decent restaurant that is open until 10pm, I think. * rooms at the Novotel were very well priced for our stay--- less than $100 a night

We selected the hotel because of previous experiences in Novotel hotels; however, this was not the best one. Size of the room was fantastic, but why on earth have such cramped toilet cubicle placed inside of it? The smell in the toilet wasn't nice either (disinfectant????) and the red colour on the toilet lid raised question marks ... The room temperature was beyond: while it was minus 8 C at night, we'd to sleep with two windows open. Another (minor) detail: the room could be used by 4 persons, but there are only 2 chairs ... As we considered the breakfast far too expensive (EUR 15 p.p.) and the location of the breakfast room (open, immediately next to the reception desk) unattractive, we bought our breakfast at the shopping center which was 5 min from the hotel. Likeability of the staff varied a lot depending on the country where they originated from ... On the plus side: beds were clean and comfortable, internet functioned well, room well vacuumed (we were there for 4 nights), tram station to Muenchener Freiheit at 7 minutes walk (6 trams an hour) from where one can take the underground. Public transport: You can buy a day ticket (bus, tram, underground) at the hotel at EUR 6.70. This is definitely a good deal (single ticket in tram EUR 2.90). The hotel also sells a group day ticket (5 persons max) at less than EUR 15.--. If one needs a Muenchen XXL day ticket, nearest place to buy it is at Muenchener Freiheit station. Please note that in the trams tickets can only be bought by using coins

The hotel is at a great location, with regular trams taking you to Munchner Freiheight. The best bit is that the hotel has excellent customer service from all its staff at the reception! Future guests, please ask for Claudia, a Columbian lady who is really lovely and warm! Rooms are cosy and are cleaned daily with fresh towels and beddings brought daily! Loved my stay there and will definitely be back when I'm in Munch again!

The closer we got the more I was convinced we'd end up in a concrete box. surrounded by other concrete boxes...and so it turned out. A mix of huge corporate hqs, anonymous housing developments and chain hotels - with small snatches of land scheduled for redevelopment. My colleague described it as 'soulless' and so it is..there is no passion or feeling, tradition or heritage. Its close to work. The entrance is shared with an IBIS and was cloaked in scaffolding and plastic draping..not a geat start. The receptionist was ultimately friendly and enthusiastic and di lighten our day before we were plunged into a maze of endless nondescript corridors with grey carpet and tired décor. The room was a good size and had everything required but it felt a bit like you wrere on a ferry - the separate toilet and shower cubicles were modular. Bed was comfortable enough but the tv was screwed to the wall which made it difficult to watch from bed. There was coffee making facilities and a microwave but you have to go to the ironing room for an iron. Breakfast was 15 euros!!!(don't know what it was like as that was too expensive for my taste). A quiet comfortable night Luckily I was awake by 0645 as we had a vist from the local fie brigade - someone had obviously left their linguine in for too long!!! There must be better in the area..this is poor for the price

I really like this hotel not because of usual stuff, most of the Munich hotels offers decent breakfast, clean rooms, confy bed etc. This Novotel though offers the best Internet connection by far, also very reliable for business purposes.

We were very pleased with our choice of hotel for our overnight stay in Munich. We found a free parking spot right out the front which was a first on our travels! The room was quite large and there was plenty of room for our family of 4. We were extremely thrilled with the trundle bed that pulled out from under the main bed. There was also a separate single bed as well. Our 2 boys didn't have to share a sofa bed!!! The trip into the centre of Munich was very easy and took about 20 minutes. The breakfast was typical German. The hotel had luggage trolleys which was also very helpful.

Super for family or business. Clean, comfy, fridge, microwave, bath, shower, free coffee & breakfast muffins or hot breakfast option. Fitness room. Even has Quinny buggies for smallies to use. Easy access to airport & city center. Excellent staff. Thanks!

I visited Munich two days ago with family and booked this hotel but it had a dirty floor and toilet, will never use again. Strongly recommend to avoid this hotel if you want a nice stay. We are very disappointed

Chose this because it was handy for work but the traffic can be very bad around here at peak times. The rooms are larger than normal and have a desk area, settee and large bed with internal screen if you want. There is a microwave, fridge and coffee making facility. No supermarket near by but the Aral garage is 5 mins walk and has some basics including beer. Hotel breakfast is 15€ and not too bad - a bit basic - only sweet cereals, limited cheese but plenty of fruit and brown rolls. Good coffee. Staff are friendly and helpful. Internet good. They have radio on the TV with classical station - didnt find jazz channel. Subway is walkable. Some inconsistency in towel replacement and glass cleaning.

This hotel delivers everything you expect. Friendly staff, clean, functional rooms, free wi-fi, good breakfast options and well-priced. One of the better Novotels, if you are going to Munich this is a great option.
