This hotel was great!! Room was lush! Staff was great and spoke English American style breakfast so yes eggs and bacon. We could see the fire works from the room with a great view of the city they also had a DJ and a dance floor that was really fun once New Years hit. They also have a parking garage which we always think is a plus
We stayed at this hotel for two nights as part of a tour group at the end of November. Upon arrival at the hotel, check-in was quick and smooth. There are 4 working elevators at the hotel and they were pretty quick and roomy. The cab ride from the airport to the hotel cost around 70 euros. What we liked about the hotel: - Location – the hotel is located in a quiet area near the BMW World and Olympic Park. There’s a U-Bahn station just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. It’s one station away from Olympia-Einkaufszentrum mall (really big, great variety of shops, highly suggest coming here for food as well); it’s also only a 20-minute ride away from Marienplatz station without having to switch trains. We felt really safe walking around the area and taking the U-Bahn at night. - Variety of food at breakfast – great selection of hot and cold items, including potatoes, sausages (with mustard), meatballs, breads, cheeses, ham, cereals, eggs (made to order at the station). Staff are very responsive/efficient and give you coffee and hot milk the minute you sit down at the table. - Size and cleanliness of the reception and lobby – there’s a bar lounge with comfortable seating. Staff were even decorating the lobby with a Christmas tree and other decorations, and these decorations brightened up the hotel a lot! - Excellent customer service from the restaurant and concierge staff Room: - Kettle, cups and saucers and varieties of teas/coffees were added bonuses - We were given a free bottle of water - Efficient temperature control - Room was quiet – couldn’t hear noise from neighbours or other passersby - Beds and pillows comfortable, good lighting - Bathroom was very bright, big shower - Good desk and table area - room to spread out your stuff We found the layout of the room was a bit different from other hotels we’ve stayed at - the bathroom was located right next to the bed (not a big deal but we wanted to point it out). What we found disappointing: - Housekeeping – we had posted the “please make up my room” sign on the door first thing in the morning, and had vacated the room for over 7 hours, but the room was not made up when we returned later that evening. We had to phone for housekeeping. Also, once the housekeeper was finished, we found that he didn’t wash or change the cups (not a big deal, but in other hotels we’ve stayed at in Europe, the cups were changed or washed). - The room wasn’t dirty, but it was dusty, and there were cob webs and dust surround the window and curtains. Early the next morning there was a huge spider crawling around! There aren’t any restaurants near the hotel, but that’s okay because we ate at the mall and at the Christmas markets. Overall we were satisfied with our stay.
I stayed 29-31 January, for two nights, for business. I have been in this hotel before, for a regular conventionseries I attend. The hotel itself is very nice, with clean and spacious rooms, and friendly and helpful staff. Overall, i would be happy to stay again. Check-out can get very busy and slow during a big convention in the hotel. I did have an odd experience at check-out. I had left my mobile phone charger in the room, and I remembered before I left the hotel. So, I got let back into my room. It had already been re-made up for the next guest, so, no sign of my charger. But it was also never found at housekeeoing either. Any while the hotel was happy to call me back, and let me know that they could not find it, I found this rather disturbing. Otherwise, a great experience, apart from a mobile phone charger mystery that remains unsolved.
Very nice and comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Clean rooms, delicious breakfast. Highly recommend for family and business trip. Liked to much. Very nice spa and sport hall is available. Location is very comfortable/
Convenient hotel with all needed modern amenities if you are on a business trip. Reasonably sized rooms, large restaurant with really not bad foods, large and convenient bar. The gym is a bit small and you need to be early there to gather the place. Large garage but rather expensive.
Clean rooms, fast service, clean toilets in the lobby... but quite far from actual lobby. Venue is not so near town proper so taking a cab might be necessary. But if you enjoy a good walk, then its ok. Rooms are not that big, but clean enough and airconditioning is also cold so thats a good thing. Nothing special.. but very good for a 4 star hotel.
I may say that The Leonardo Hotel is real 4 stars hotel. Reception is so fast and easy. Rooms are clean, housekeeping is doing its job perfectly. All the elevators are working :) Cafe and service is also quite good.
Hi we stayed 2 nights as we were going to the Olympic Stadium to see the Rolling Stones & was not disappointed in any way, from the U Bahn station 5 min walk away to the friendly staff & warm welcome from staff on arrival. Large impressive reception area with a very modern decor, all very tastefully done. Our room was a comfort room & we were very pleased with all amenities available. Very clean, modern & comfortable & certainly spacious enough. We had a meal in the restaurant which was very tasty, my wife having pig & myself veal. Snacks in the bar area are also excellent probably the best club sandwich I have ever had. The bar area is a great place to check out the wonderful beer in yet again very modern surroundings & cool ambience. The artwork scattered around the hotel including the decorated mannequins are very noticeable & very fitting to the modern decor. The breakfasts were very enjoyable & plentiful. All staff very friendly & helpful. Would not hesitate to stay here again or try other Leonardo Royal Hotels.
The hotel is new and better than most of the hotels in Munich. Amenities and hotel atmosphere is great. Room features a coffee maker, but housekeeping does not even pick up the used cups when cleaning the rooms. Housekeeping also never replaced the shampoo or shower gel in the room, or put new coffee, or clean towels UNLESS we called their number to ask for them.
Traveled a lot in Asia so I am spoiled from their good service and atmosphere. German Hotels are more simple and often with not so nice staff. But this Hotel confirmed not my prejudice. Surprisingly very friendly checking in and comfortable rooms. Only breakfast buffet could be slightly better, but here as well friendly staff. Hotel is good reachable with the tube, 5 Minutes walk.
