Room was clean, initially we were given a smaller room although we paid for the bigger room. However when we feedback, they gave us the room we paid for. Room was clean and spacious. Very convenient to the main area. Place was safe. Would stay again if I’m returning to Munich:)

We had a good stay at Hotel Cocoon. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Beds were neat, had a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was good. Hotel location was near the Central Main Station and Christmas markets.

Cannot fault this hotel in too much in itself, the staff were very welcoming and I was immediately able to store my bags until check-in (check-in was available early for a small fee). For the price I paid at the time of booking, the room was small but enough to feel at home for a single traveller exploring the city. Rooms were clean and sleep was comfortable, and Wi-Fi was free and very fast. You have to ask for someone to clean/attend to your room each day if you require it, but I spent most of the time outside of the hotel and it was a short stay. Only issues were that the shower temperature could’ve been a little more consistent and the AC didn’t seem to do anything. Another thing to bear in mind is that the hotel is located by the central train station, which makes it very accessible and convenient - but is situated in a slightly dodgy area on a side street - but extremely safe nonetheless, just not as visually appealing as maybe other hotels at this price. Again this is based more on a visual impression than actual experience, though. Overall I’d definitely recommend checking out this hotel if you’re a single traveller or a couple visiting on a short city break spending most of the time in the city centre.

The hotel is an average hotel for this part of Munich. The room was a bit dated. The hanging chair was not practical to use. There is almost no space to store bags and belongings. The water in the shower can go from cold to scalding hot with the slightest adjustment. I'll pick somewhere else to stay the next time I am in Munich.

The room was nice and the staff was great. The location was great. I would defiantly book again. I did put the tag on the door for the room to be restocked, they never came for two day. I had to go to the desk to get stuff.

The hotel was clean and well staffed. There were a few items in the room that I could not figure out how to operate (the thermostat, lights, and rain showerhead) and the hotel staff didn’t know either which surprised me. The area was not high traffic so it felt less safe than other parts of town later at night.

It's a nice hotel conveniently close to the central train station. The area around the central station can feel a bit sketchy (as with almost anywhere in the world) and the area immediately surrounding the hotel is home to many sports betting and gambling venues, so there is quite a bit of noise and yelling through the night, but nothing outrageous. The room and facilities were nice and comforting.

The staff were accommodating and our room was good. The only problem is if your room is by the street side, you'll need ear plugs to be able to sleep through the night. Outside there's a restaurant and someone just keeps screaming (yes screaming) late at night or maybe even past midnight. Looks like nobody's doing anything about it despite the fact that there are other hotels on that block. Also, another problem is there's no place to hang your towels to easily dry.

Excellent option for downtown Munich. Short walk from old city and Marienplatz. Close to railway station. Very clean, neat in appearance. Rooms a little 'cosy' but great value for money.
