I have just spent 6 nights in this luxury hotel and the personal service is hard to beat. From the moment you walk through the door, it is clear that all the staff wish to do everything within their power to look after their guests. All the reception staff and concierges are friendly but Mustafa probably takes the prize! The room that I had was on the small side, but had a great view and was very quiet. Breakfast is incredible - by day 3, Daniel, the wonder Maitre d' , had got my coffee precisely as I like it. This is no mean feat!! Eggs were delicious, cheese, salami, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, salmon, you name it, they serve it at breakfast. I also ate some lighter meals in the evening - Tom Kha Kai soup which was lovely, and Caesar salad. Upon which subject, I must now mention the bar staff and Michael Finke, in particular. Again, he went out of his way to find me wine that I would enjoy and we had some lovely chats, which made me feel at home (and also improved my rusty German!). There is a small gym and a sauna, as well as a nice terrace and a pretty garden. All in all, there simply cannot be a better place to stay in Munich - it is first class.

Lovely hotel with a beautiful garden and tasty breakfast (expensive if pay on your own, but if included in your reservation its great). My only hesitation as a parent travelling with a child was that the windows in the room were floor to ceiling and not secured so easy to be opened by a curious toddler. The hotel was very understanding of my fears and moved us to a ground floor room which happened to be an upgrade at no extra charge. They also had our room filled with kid friendly items like baby bath washes/ sponges/ robe; a welcome balloon and jar of candy; and even a diaper bin! As a result we all had a great time in Munich.

My wife and I recently stayed at this lovely hotel and are very glad we did. From the moment we arrived their staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was lovely and well kept with a nice view of their beautiful courtyard. We only had two days in the city and their excellent concierge Mark helped us efficiently plan seeing the sites of the city our first day. Because he was concerned we might not find the starting point for our bus tour he walked us to an easy vantage point to get there, and also gave us a quick tour of a local market with snacks, delicious baked goods and the like. We wanted to go to the Eagle's Nest and Salzburg our second day, and Mark came through again arranging a private driver for us (Oliver...who was just great) who took us wherever we wanted to go including a quaint roadside restaurant in Berchtesgaden where we had local favorites for lunch. We ate breakfast and dinner both days of our stay at the hotel's restaurant. It was an easy way to start the day and an excellent place to unwind after an exhausting day of sightseeing. Their food and it's preparation is exceptional. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our short visit at this wonderful hotel and definitely will stay here again on our next trip to Munich. Let Mark help you with your plans to sightsee, you'll be glad you did!

We stayed for three nights at this lovely hotel just outside Munich's city centre. After a long commute it was wonderful to be welcomed by the excellent reception staff who were only too keen to assist in any way. The room was delightful. Lovely bed and linen, great bathroom products and plenty of room to relax. A great quiet location - not far from the underground.

I chose this hotel for our stay in Munich as it was in a quieter area but was close to the Underground and tram to access the city. The number 100 bus was even closer, a 2 minute walk away and dropped you at the major sites. Check in was quick and efficient and we got a quick tour of the hotel. Our room was gorgeous, comfortable beds, a nice lounge area. Plenty of towels in the bathroom, Moulton Brown toiletries. We had an issue with the shower but it was fixed as soon as we reported it. The Garden is a great place to have a drink and relax after a day of sightseeing. All the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble, including booking our train tickets to Salzburg for us and giving us an information pack about the city. If you are arriving by public transport from the airport, the easiest way is to get of the train at Ostbahnhof and take the number 100 bus to the hotel. This is much quicker than going into the central station. We had a wonderful weekend in Munich and would definitely stay at the Munchen Palace when returning. There are some very good restaurants within a 10 minute walk. There are also lots of cafes in Haidhausen if you want a quick breakfast out of the hotel.

We did a six city tour on our most recent trip and this was our favorite hotel of all of them. Loves: the beautifully lit rooms with lovely and sophisticated decoration and color palettes (ours was mostly taupe and white with lavender accents) free mini bar refreshments every day, apples and an extra large bottle of water on the day you arrive, the variety of dining spaces in a smaller hotel, a very memorable marble bathroom, having a bathroom scale, plush robes, the quiet location, turn down service, the exercise room, sauna facilities, the use of the bicycles and proximity to the English Gardens and the kind and professional service. Though the breakfast was very good, I wasn't keen on the 33 euro price per person. I was also a bit concerned about the slight step down to the bathroom but we left the light on and kept the door open a crack to remind us. All in all, it was a memorable stay and we would highly recommend it. Thank you for paying attention to the details big and small. They do make you better.

We stayed at this hotel on our first night in Germany. We arrived via Munich airport and then took the train to the Ostabahnhof. From there we caught a taxi to the hotel. Our flight got in earlier than expected and we also completed the immigration process quickly. We arrived at the hotel around 11am and were able to check in early. Front desk was very courteous and helpful at our arrival. We had a room with a king bed which was very comfortable and had multiple soft pillows. The room had a large window that overlooked the entrance to the hotel. The weather was pleasant and the windows were open upon arrival. The room has AC but seemed to blow cold air over a small portion of the room only. The bathroom was a bit cramped but functional. The products given were Molton Brown and of high quality. There was a stocked fridge in the room with complimentary drinks including: Water, Soda, Juice and Beer. Free wifi was included with the room. The hotel had a gym and sauna which we didn't use. The hotel was a few steps away from the 100 Bus line and we were able to purchase tickets from the front desk. A short ride to the town center and all tourist attractions. We also took the bus back towards the train station for a bit of shopping (Aldi, Lidl, and local pharmacy) Our room rate included breakfast for two which was the basic breakfast we have seen across Europe. Breakfast included a made to order egg dish as well as multiple breads, pastries, meats, cheeses, and fruits. Fresh juices and coffee/tea were also available. On the day of our check out the staff was again very friendly and we left shortly after breakfast.

We chose the Hotel Muenchen Palace last year (2016) after visiting the Expedia website. We liked it so much that when we decided to revisit Munich as a base in 2017 we had no hesitation in staying at the same hotel. Our reasons were its location and the quality of the hotel and staff. There is a quality 'feel' about the whole hotel. We liked the decor that is conservative and classical and furniture and fittings are of a very high quality. Plenty of towels etc. The mini bar was free and this is replenished daily. We had requested a firm pillow and both beds had a firm and soft pillow when we arrived. Very comfortable beds. The reception staff were both very welcoming and ready to help with any requests. All the reception staff spoke excellent English and staff was always first class at what ever time of day or night you were making inquiries. There is a bar with friendly staff and reasonable cost (well - compared to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Miami.). The location is not in the centre but the transport connections are excellent with the '100 Bus' just round the corner in the Prince Regent Strasse. This bus will take you right into the centre where one can connect to other buses etc. Munich has an excellent transport system and we bought a 3-day pass - well worth the money Should we return to Munich we would, without hesitation, definitely stay in the Hotel Muenchen Palace.

Another visit . Another pleasure. I love this hotel . Great service . Great location. Just like last year . My favourite hotel . Very personalised. Room is excellent. Nice variety for breakfast. I can highly recommend. Will always go back.

Stayed two nights, then booked another five nights after a side trip to Zurich. We had a junior suite. All the rooms are different. When we drove up the first time, on a gray day, we weren't so sure, but the hotel, rooms, service, staff all were wonderful. A very nice hotel to return to after a long day of sight seeing. Delightful and relaxing. Wifi was solid, though for some reason you had to sign in each day.
