I stayed 6 days in this hotel, and in general i have enjoyed my stay. Staff were all respectful and helpful - I have had to ask their help to actually talk to others in Spanish a number of times. Pros: 1. Near a number of good restaurants, including La Nacional as many others have said 2. Breakfast is adequate and gives a good sampling of Mexican food 3. Location was accessible, most places i went to were under 100MXP via uber 4. Big bed, clean room equipped with a safe 5. Nice view of the mountains. They have a pull out table so i used that to always face the window when on my computer...nice touch! 6. Safe and nice area, I always see police cars roving around 7. Free wifi (good speed) 8. Potable water, i did drink from the faucet during my 6 days stay 9. All the basic amenities - business PCs with printing, in-house restaurant, concierge with some pianists at night, small gym, small pool and available room service Cons: 1. View comes with a price as it is where the train passes and i can hear it every time it passes by, including at night. I woke for a pee break at around 4am and the train passes by during those times too. Otherwise, i slept through it 2. Not a biggie but their dumb bells in the gym go from 10 to 35...no in between. Had to do 35, which is good in a sense i had to stretch a bit 3. Pool was quite small, really only good for dipping 4. No ref
We stayed here for 2 nights. Rooms are big, have nice views to the city and bathroom with bathtub and shower. Nearly walking distance to plenty restaurants and Plaza Galerías. Offers free WiFi and free parking. Has a pool and gym. No fridge on the room. Has hair dryer, iron, coffee maker, ice of fifth floor. Bed and pillows are really comfortable. Gas station and Oxxo in front. Did not try the breakfast because it was a bit expensive (options are fruits, pancakes, etc)
Felt like a US Courtyard, located near some good restaurants and an easy Uber to everything you want to see. Near casino and running path, meets expectations for international travels not looking for fancy just looking for familiar.
It's right next to La Nacional. That alone is reason to stay. Rooms are clean, the restaurant is good, and the staff is really friendly. I have stayed there 4 times now, and each was very good. I plan to stay there on my next visit.
This hotel looks pretty awful from the outside. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, but this is not a great walking area- lots of run-down old buildings and not much to do nearby. On the upside, the hotel is clean, the hotel restaurant is decent, and the service is very good. Parts of the hotel are pretty dated and I’d call this sub-par for a Marriott. The elevators are older as are some of the carpets. There was also a funky musty smell in the lobby at times. There is a train that passes through the area every night and it is so loud it sounds like it is going through the hotel. I’d only recommend this hotel for business travel, but if you’re looking to stay for vacation I’d say go someplace else.
Great location with beautiful view of “La Silla” mountain. Affordable price. Need a renewal soon. Specially on bath and hand wash. Friendly staff. “La Nacional” Mexican restaurant at a walking distance. Good breakfast buffet with friendly servers. That what I like the most. Safe travels!
The room was very large for the price paid. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful; they arranged for a car to get me to an early morning flight and put in on the bill so I didn't have to exchange currency. Good amenities, also.
This Marriott needs a facelift. The food is just about okay. The Wifi is iffy and the pool is tiny. The staff were friendly on my visit but because they had little English they couldn't help me with questions about the city or transportation. The hotel is located in a dreary part of town and right next to a noisy road and a very, very noisy train line. The long freight trains that barrel past blow their whistles for minutes at a time. Be sure to ask for as quiet a room as possible - a high floor is your best bet. There isn't much to see or do in this large city.
Perfectly located in Monterrey, next to San Pedro and only 15min walk to a huge mall. Rooms are very well equiped and comfortable. The gym just offers the minimum equipment, for a few days OK. Staff is nice and friendly. The sad thing is the restaurant quality, for dinner and breakfast. Specialy the breakfast quality is just average and not comparable to the standar of other Courtyard hotels.
The hotel was really well located for the propose of my trip, but it is far from the airport (about 45 - 1hr driving). The room was very spacious and spotless. The wifi works good. Dinner food was good, but the service even they were kind it was very slow. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful. Is was a short stay but a good one.
