This Marriott needs a facelift. The food is just about okay. The Wifi is iffy and the pool is tiny. The staff were friendly on my visit but because they had little English they couldn't help me with questions about the city or transportation. The hotel is located in a dreary part of town and right next to a noisy road and a very, very noisy train line. The long freight trains that barrel past blow their whistles for minutes at a time. Be sure to ask for as quiet a room as possible - a high floor is your best bet. There isn't much to see or do in this large city.
Perfectly located in Monterrey, next to San Pedro and only 15min walk to a huge mall. Rooms are very well equiped and comfortable. The gym just offers the minimum equipment, for a few days OK. Staff is nice and friendly. The sad thing is the restaurant quality, for dinner and breakfast. Specialy the breakfast quality is just average and not comparable to the standar of other Courtyard hotels.
The hotel was really well located for the propose of my trip, but it is far from the airport (about 45 - 1hr driving). The room was very spacious and spotless. The wifi works good. Dinner food was good, but the service even they were kind it was very slow. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful. Is was a short stay but a good one.
We stayed at this hotel as it was a couple of blocks away from a course we were taking. The staff is courteous and attentive, and they even let us go into the room about 3hrs before the usual check-in time, which was great as we arrived early and had nowhere to go before 3PM. The room was clean and comfy, the room service was good, and the overall experience with no issues. I can recommend this to anyone who wants a good hotel and doesn't want to spend a whole bunch.
Its like all the courtyards, a place to sleep and rest, clean nice shower, and very close to San Pedro and all the corporate offices, very near one of the best restaurants in monterrey La Nacional (walking distance)
After a long week, with many days on business travels, the least you expect is to arrive to a hotel in mid afternoon to find your reservation is fine but no clean rooms are available At first glance Not nice, but a perfect challenge for a couple of young girls in front desk to handle the situation under the pressure from other two families waiting for rooms. What a terrific job. Specially from miss Keren who solved the situation with extreme professionalism and empathy. Despite her youth, the kind of attention, courtesy and the smart alternatives she offered me to make me feel really welcome, is the best I ever received in nearly 27 years traveling around the world. Keren has a trainee tag on her badge, but I think she should be teacher for others about how to treat a guest and manage tough situations under lots of pressure, just like this afternoon. Congratulations to Marriott and this Courtyard hotel for having such an excellent lady in the front desk. Her presence and remarkable skills is the most sweet and delightful combination for this great hotel. Keren's title should be solution manager for this and maybe in the future for many hotels. Congratulations Keren and thank you very much on behalf of my family.
I used to stay at this hotel every other month about seven years ago for 2-3 years. I always enjoyed staying here and this last April I stayed again with my wife for three days. It is still an excellent hotel with courteous and helpful staff. Room was impecable hotel is in top condition. Parking deck is accessible using the elevator from the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.
Rooms are typical chain. Bed is very ample and comfy. However, service is regular. Towels were white years ago, now are clammy grey, really disgusting. Watch out, bar doesn't open on Sundays. The pool is really small and so cold it's unusable even on a hot sunny day. Toiletries are regular to poor.
This was my first ever visit to Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico - as I have a friend who lives there and invited me to hang out and be my 'tour guide' for four memorable days. I arrived into Monterrey flying on Aeromexico nonstop from Tijuana, B.C. Mexico (Please read my review of CBX Border Bridge below) and my friend 'Luis' picked me up from Monterrey Int'l Airport and drove us to this property, which is central to the heart of this city. I stayed here from Sat night 03/04/17 to Wed morning 03/08/17 and was assigned Room 0804 on the eighth floor, with two double beds. It was typical Courtyard by Marriott quality - sparkling clean and the sheets extremely nice. I enjoyed my hibernating time, in between all the touring and sightseeing attractions like 'Grutas de Garcia' caves near Garcia, N.L. and 'Cola de Caballo' waterfall in Santiago, N.L. The staff from front desk clerk 'Mauricio' at check-in to 'Alberto Gonzalez at check-out early Wed morning were exemptional!!! EXCELLENTE!!! Muy Bueno!!! They brought us a small refrigerator for our stay, as my friend and I had food and drinks to keep cool. Parking was located below the property in an underground lot, as you'll need your room key to access - it's a pretty secure area and very safe to go in and out. My friend is from this area, and thank goodness he knew where to go and when to go. Overall, I enjoyed my first visit here and I hope to revisit Monterrey again next year. Gay friendly, Muchas Gracias!!! CINCO CLAWS UP!!!!! Thanks for reading my review. Joe G. Bear - Redondo Beach, CA
We stayed at the hotel last weekend, and we liked it so much! everything was so clean and comfortable... the check in and check out smooth and easy. It's located in an excellent zone of mty with shopping centers and restaurants nearby. I recommend it for work or pleasure travels to monterrey. (I found a better price booking thru hoteles.com)
