This is across the street form the convention center and is the reason I booked it. The rooms are OK. Bed is comfortable, but there are only 3 English language TV stations available. When I checked in there were pistachio shells on the floor and the underwear from a previous quest was in the corner. Breakfast is not included in the price of the room and the only options in walking distance are Carl's Jr and Chili's. Fitness center is dark, not many machines and only one TV. The worst part of the 5 days was the lack of Internet service. Being across form the convention center means that this is a business hotel. However, the Internet was not available or painfully slow during my entire stay. (It took me 16 minutes to download a 1 MB file). If you have a trade show at the Cintermex, stay at the Holiday Inn, not here.
This property fits great for all thoe coming to Monterrey for business. Rooms are clean and spacious. Despite hotel has classy touches, the athmosphere is kind of gray, and pool was a little too small
The rooms are nice, enpugh space, a little noisy the a/c , people are friendly and the only bad point is that it doesnt have a restaurante for breakfast...ver close is a Chillys and a Carls Jr hamburger , but personally I dont like those places for breakfast...one mprning I walked two blocks to an Oxxo convenience store, bought my breakfast there...
The rooms are very comfortable and close to the "arena Monterrey" & " fundidora park" ... plenty restaurants and trip advisor simplified my reservation and got a better price than directly with the hotel.
Friendly reception at lobby with proper understanding of English. Rooms are old-fashioned in design but clean and spacious. Same for bathroom. Beds very comfortable. Wifi free and fast too, Next to the hotel is a "Chilis" restaurant which is nice since the hotel itself doesn't offer breakfast. Hotel Wifi still works here. Also there's a ton of other places (fastfood-ish) nearby. The Cintermex is just across the road (there's a bridge-walkway).
I stayed at the Antaris Suite Hotel for 4 nights as I was attending a convention at the Cintermex Convention Center and I have to say I was not impressed. Although the hotel does not look that bad, service is lacking. It was two of us in the room and they only provided two towels (no towel for the sink and no towel for the shower floor). The towel I used had a HUGE hole in it, which is unnacceptable when they charge over MXN$2,000 per night (over $130usd). The first morning we were there, we called the front desk to request a luggage cart carrier to bring all the convention material downstairs... 20 minutes passed and nobody came to the room. We left the room with all the stuff and the bell boys were downstairs doing nothing and two carts were sitting next to the main entrance. This only talks about how much the personnel cares about their guests (looks like they don't care at all). The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there is a Chili's next door. Sleep quality is ok. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Parque Fundidora right across the street last year and it was a much nicer experience. I don't think we will be back at Antaris again...
A great choice of hotel in Monterrey. Rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. We were there for a week, and our room had a a comfy bed, big and clean bathroom, good desk, plus sofa, microwave and coffee maker. Internet worked perfectly. Well-located, in front of Cintermex and Parque Fundidora. What really made this hotel stand out for us was the staff. Rafael and his crew at front desk provided a 5-star quality service. Fluent in English, they were super helpful with suggestions of what to do, clearly explained directions, negotiated price with taxi drivers (I hardly speak any Spanish), and were very attentive and kind. There were some renovations going on at the hotel during our stay, but we did not hear any noise from our room. We were there for work, but stayed a couple of extra days to relax and enjoy the city.
We stay at this hotel because our event is right in front of it , we have room that smells horrible. .. humidity and the shower curtain is very dirty too... we told the front desk about the smell and THEY SEND SOMEONE WITH febrezze!!! Very disappointing >=<
The Antarisuite Cintermex is located in an old building, but very comfortable. The rooms are good, quiet and the overall experience is fine. The staff is very polite. They don't have room service, but you can ask for food calling to the Chili's restaurant that is located in the same building. The location is perfect if you are doing business in the Cintermex/Parque Fundidora area. By night, there is no place to go in the sorroundings, except the Chili's. The hotel is located in a very old area of Downtown Monterrey, where the streets are poorly iluminated. There is a gas station around the corner with an Oxxo and Seven Eleven convenience stores where you can grab a snack any time
I stayed in this hotel for over a month while working in Monterrey. Although aspects of the hotel are a bit rundown, the place is spotless and everyone who worked there did anything they could to be helpful. Twice I asked for someone to address an issue in the room (once an issue with the phone and once with the TV). Both times someone arrived in less than 5 minutes and fixed the concern. Comfortable bed, decent water pressure in the shower, cable TV, mini fridge, microwave, and free WiFi made for a great base for my stay in Monterrey. The weights equipment in the gym is very old, but the treadmill and the elliptical machine are in good condition (and there is bottled water available in the gym). The only negatives are some traffic noise and the WiFi is slow when the hotel is full.
