The hotel is very centrally located and appears to be upscale but it has several shortcomings. Check in was not friendly at all. The hotel is an "atrium" type hotel and they had music in the restaurant every night that could be heard throughout and in the room. The rooms have very nice laminate floors and the bed linens are updated but are otherwise very dated. The mattress was very slim and hard. The AC was old but worked very well. The bathroom was small and old and the water pressure in the shower and sink was low. Service in the restaurant was very cordial but slow. Wifi worked very well.
Recently stayed in this hotel - very helpful and courteous staff during our stay. It was a full service hotel that was very welcoming and business friendly. The business center offered printing and copying services. The breakfast was very good and reasonably priced.
The pool is just amazing & it also had a hot tub-like little pool next to the normal bigger pool, gim next to the pool & also a sauna available for all guests!... the salon for events is not only wide but amazing, we had a dancing floor set for the event, also the break fast buffet was just exquisite, from chilaquiles or omellet to fresh made pank cakes and waffles
All in all, my 4 day stay was pleasant. My room was large, quiet (even though I faced the main road), and in overall good condition. All of the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Their English language skills were much better than my Spanish skills. The shuttle to and from the airport was easy and convenient. I only ate breakfast here one day and it was pretty good. I would stay here again.
Stayed 2 nights. Really nice to stay and enjoy the food and music without the stress of going out. Breakfast was great and dinner buffet had a lot of options. Went to the Bull fights and met the Matadors at the hotel...
This hotel needs a face lift. It's been the same for the last 30 years it feels. The rooms are very average and the beds nothing to compare to other chains. The bed had a low mattress and was low to the floor. Everything seemed very dated . On a positive note the executive lounge on the 15th floor was great and enjoyed working there and the breakfast and snacks. The restauarent on the main floor breakfast is fantastic. But there is only one restaurant in the hotel. The huge lobby bar area is dead most days.. huge waste of space.. neeeds to be updated to feel more modern and welcoming.
The hotel is OK. The amenities are good, but the room not that much. I didn't get recognition for my membership and they don't have fridges at the rooms. The restaurant is good and the breakfast as well.
the IHG rewards program where intercontinental holiday in Staybridge candlewood even and Kimpton hotels and restaurants are part of worked perfectly last week when I traded my points for a night staff was extremely courteous although the room could have been a bit better because it shows that the hotel has not been remodeled for a while but it was clean all around and again superb staff looking into my stay my assistant requested a king bed and instead I did get two doubles The restroom was pretty modest I should say on the austere side but again clean all around The bed was not incredible and power plugs to plug my cell charger were hard-to-find ...actually I had to disconnect the night lamp ...this easy-charge commodity was not available next day breakfast was pretty good since their lobby is beautiful ....they also have an amazing area to hold meetings and watch sports The most important point of the hotel I believe is its location parking was great again perfectly located and no charge for hotel guests I would definitely stay at the crowne plaza av constitución [monterrey] again and will strive to build up more IHG points..... congrats for the program... it should promote more and more loyal customers.. just.. don't forget to re-model this venue at your convenience [especially rugs / flooring between rooms and work in the guest rooms bathrooms] best
I accompanied my husband on a business trip to Monterrey. We stayed here at the Crown Plaza and I just wanted to let the staff know that I thought they were all amazing. From housekeeping to the manager, each staff member was friendly and attentive to making sure our stay was comfortable. I would like to give a special thank you to front desk staff, Susan. Susan was always friendly and patient with me. I had a situation in our room and was trying to connect with the manager and she did a great job reassuring me that the manager was looking into things. Thank you Susan for giving me a few Spanish lessons and making my stay enjoyable.
I stayed here with my family for one night in January and had a great stay. Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms. Nice location and friendly staff. Breakfast isn't included. There was a "resort fee" of $30 added to our bill. We weren't aware we had to pay a resort fee to stay there and we didn't use the pool facilities. Other than that we really likes it and Monterey is gorgeous!
