When stepping off the 3rd floor elevator we immediately were overwhelmed by the stench of cigarette smoke. (People, stop smoking. It is the single worst thing you can do for your health!!) we stayed three nights and our room was NEVER cleaned. Only 2 towels provided for 4 humans, breakfast was apparently trendy microwaved circlular eggs and pretend omelettes. Damage to walls in king suite were repaired using the wrong color of paint in multiple spots, seriously? Go to Home Depot and get the paint matched. JUST OVERALL POOR QUALITY.
We have had bad experiences at Days Inn in the past. Run down, dirty, loud etc. We were pleasantly surprised with a new clean motel. We had a good nights sleep and a very basic breakfast. Some two star stops are acceptable. Would stay again.
Ths is the hotel my wife and I use when we come home, which is usually for a short trip only. We enjoy our stays, especially since the hotel is located within 10 miles of our hometown. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
This is the best hotel in Semmes -- in fact as far as I know it's the only hotel even close. Even if there were others I don't think their staffs would be any more pleasant or responsive. The building shows some signs of wear and the furniture is neither upscale nor new, but it's acceptable for a hotel in this price range. The wi-fi is horrid -- it cuts out or slows down unpredictably and you have to sign in multiple times during your stay. Breakfast is not bad but is totally predictable; we have stayed here several times and nothing has ever changed. The inn is located on a busy highway and traffic noise comes into the room. It might sound as if I hate it here, but I don't. I plan to return.the next time I'm in the area, but I will do so despite the limitations. I don't find them significant, but I thought that you should be aware of them before making a reservation.
Motel is clean but needs updating. Stayed there three years ago and it would appear aa though the motel has declined since then.
The whole experience would have been a lot better, if it wasn’t for the front desk employee’s friends/family wasn’t standing around the front door smoking all the time and hanging out inside being loud. Also, there’s a lot of questionable people hanging out in their cars all the time in the back parking lot, playing inappropriate music. This part needs to be addressed.
While riding my motorcycle home from Texas to Florida, I didn’t make prior reservations, I did what I usually do, ask a local at a fuel stop where I could find a reasonably priced, clean, safe, motel in their area. I was directed to this motel. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. She even suggested I park my bike up under the entrance awning for which I was very grateful. The room was spotless and very spacious. I stayed only one night, but will be looking forward to stay there again.
One night stay on the way to MS. Bed extremely comfortable. Room had everything I needed. Front desk staff very pleasant and helpful! Only improvement would be carpeting in room a bit old. Plenty of restaurants nearby - try Semmes Pizza about 4 miles away! I'd stay here again.
Handy because it is so close to Magnolia Grove golf course. It is clean and bed OK but they skimp on everything. Two lamps didn’t have bulbs, minimum soap, towels etc in bath. Had breakfast and part of area dark because lights don’t work. They were out of forks and had to eat with knife and spoon. Front desk gal said she told Mgr two days ago they were out of forks. Hair dryer didn’t work in bath and I gad to take it down to exchange. One couple with us said they had no hair dryer in room. I would not return here.
The manager her name was Dee Patel she was rough talking and rude to me and my kids. I also had a problem with her over charging a card for more days than she was told. I do plan sue.
