The hotel is beautiful. We had to call front desk for our sparkling, and we charged. It’s supposed to be a VIP gift. Also, the phone in the room did not work.

Our room was beautiful and walking distance to everything downtown. Staff left a lot to be desired. Was told since we did not use valet, we could just use public parking “there were no parking for hotel guest, just valet”. Imagine my surprise when I seen the “hotel parking” sign in the garage attached to the hotel ( I already knew where to park and knew they had hotel parking). Could not get service at the bar, was literally ignored, while two employees was waiting on a lady of the night.. I can only assumed she worked there as well. Asked about balcony to watch parade and was told “you got to pay for that”. I have stayed here many times throughout Mardi Gras, unfortunately not anymore. I was treated like a hobo off the street.

The only issue was the air handler fan not shutting off...at all. We have stayed there numerous times, so we knew the quality would be good, but this one thing kept us from having a good night's sleep. If we had been staying for any other reason than to sleep off a Mardi Gras ball, I am sure the problem would have been addressed and fixed during the stay.

Couple’s weekend retreat

Couple’s retreat to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Mardi Gras parade rolled by ruth in front of the hotel which added a huge bonus to our experience. The staff was great and provided world class customer service.

Great location. Walkable to everywhere: parks, restaurants, bars, shopping etc. staff was friendly and helpful. Decor was upscale eclectic and had a nice vibe. We found parking just behind the hotel in a lot for just $11 for 24 hours. Valet was $50 but it was Valentines day. Comfortable beds. We will come back if we want a night away in downtown Mobile again.
