Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel

We came in on a Saturday afternoon for a kids soccer game early Sunday am. We found the hotel to be very nice and the view amazing. 1065 music festival was going on and so convenient, only a couple of blocks away. My wife, son and I all had a ball discovering downtown Mobile, the food and history. It was a nice day trip made better by the wonderful accommodations.

The hotel stay was great!!! I enjoyed the dining & bar area. The view was amazing. The hotel was close to the beach.

Everything was great. Staff helpful and friendly. Hotel room very clean!

We were returning from Florida and actually had reservations in New Orleans however everyone caught either strep throat, the flu or both! We got a late start leaving florida due to several people in our vehicle going to an urgent care clinic that morning. We were almost to Mobile when my husband, the driver started dozing off and we realized we needed to stop for the night. I used my phone to book a hotel in Mobile and five minutes later we arrived and it was like finding a port in a storm. The staff was beyond helpful! The room was well appointed and very clean and the view from the room was extremely nice. And the beds were the most comfortable hotel bed we have ever slept in!! We would definitely stay there again!

Great getaway!! The staff was extremely helpful in making my stay comfortable.

This hotel is actually pretty nice and convenient to get to. However, the bed was way too springy and uncomfortable. The TV kept coming in and out (like there was a bad satellite connection). I mentioned it to the front desk in the morning, and she said, "Sorry, we'll make sure to take a look at it." Also, parking was $10.00 on top of the cost of the hotel (the front desk said the city owned the garage so they couldn't validate). Overall, nice hotel with an average experience.

We stopped for the night in downtown Mobile on our way to Pensacola. The hotel is contemporary, attractive, and looks the part of a downtown urban convention hotel. Our pillows were very firm, like they'd been washed inappropriately. The water from the bathroom faucet never got cold! It is pretty gag worthy trying to take medication or brush teeth with lukewarm water. TV and lights all worked just fine. Parking is twenty dollars, at an attached and shared garage.

Great hotel for the price and location. Staff was very professional.

the Renaissance Hotel was a great place to stay for a conference. However, I missed my conference as it was the Friday and Saturday prior to this. The hotel management was willing to refund me for the night that I came in with your approval .my son had made the reservation and I wasn't sure how to contact you with a voice conversation without the identification numbers. I found Renaissance administration very congenial and helpful.

Excellent service and cleanliness of hotel even during busy mardi gras season.

It was very nice. The hotel is convenient to the conference center.

We stayed on our way to Florida and then on our way back to Texas. It was very nice. It is located right off of I-10, easy on and easy off. Good food in the area too.

Enjoyed a Mardi Gras parade and ball during this trip. The location for Mardi Gras in Mobile is unbeatable. The hotel staff were wonderful, and routinely went out of their way to make us comfortable.

We thought the hotel itself was beautiful. Loved the location by the river and Bay of the Holy Spirit (otherwise known as Mobile Bay). We were attending the Revival at the Convention Center so were thrilled the hotel had a walkway. The valet was charming, the check in was very disappointing, mistakes made and not very professional for a 4 star hotel. The room was very nice but the tub faucet was broken. The dining room where we had a late dinner was lovely and the waitress could not have been more helpful but it was a long wait for the food and then it wasn't hot so we had to send it back. It still wasn't hot but we ate it anyway. Not the waitresses fault. I will go back b/c of the location if I'm able to return.

This hotel was superb. We were in town for an Cheerleading Competition at the convention center. The location was awesome - we were able to walk back to the hotel in between events. We had lunch in the restaurant - the menu is limited but the food was excellent. We also had lunch in the bar - it was also good but the service was fanastic! Check in was the start to a great weekend, they were so friendly from the valet to the front desk. We had a king room but was hoping for 2 beds - since we were traveling with our 7,9 and 11 year old. We brought a queen aero bed from home and one child slept on the lounge chair. We had more then enough room. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Staff was very helpful recommending family restaurant and location for viewing Mardi Gras parades. Room was clean, large and comfortable for our family of 4. Nice view of the bay from our 11th-floor window. Great location in historic district -- so glad we stayed here and not on the outskirts of Mobile which would have been cheaper.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, the staff was very polite and good with our kids. The hotel pool was not clean, which was shocking since everything else in the hotel and fitness center was very well maintained. Easy walk to downtown resturants and the Gulf Coast Exploreum. Our room had a view of the bay and USS Alabama in the distance. There was a good deal of noise from other guests. Parking charges were in addition to the room cost [...], would not pay the standard rate to stay.

We went here for a dance competition and were pleasantly surprised. Hotel was immaculant, staff was exceptionally friendly. Every need was taken care of. The one draw back was waiting for the elevator. They had 4 elevators, but we still had to wait a while and that was a complaint we heard often. In the hotels defense, they did give us a warning Sunday morning that they expected it to be very busy. Overall excellent!

Very satisfied with stay. Staff very friendly and personable. Allowed late checkout without add'l charge--very convenient for my husband who did not attend the in hotel conference. Really no time for met to check out other amenities but was very satisfied with place/location/ of conference. Conference food fare could have been better, an afternoon snack would have been nice.
