I booked my room through Booking an app on my phone and I reserved a king size room for my girlfriend and I. We got there paid for our room and then the girl working told us she only a new king size room and we couldn't stay in that one. She only had a double room. I then ask for a refund and she told me no refunds. I feel like they should've let me stay in the new room regardlesss if it was more than the price I paid through Booking because I put it on my card so I would for sure have it when I checked in. Needless I probably won't ever stay there again nor will I recommend them to anybody. Thank you!
The room did not have a phone, coffee n it was our 3rd one due to other problems such as oder n no tv remote. The room had no blanket, garbage in bathroom n a bug.
This was the worst experience ever. The receptionist was nice but the facility was awful. The building is REALLY OLD. The rooms smell, the steps are are falling apart and dangerous, the carpet is filthy. We did have a remote for the TV, telephone in the room or knob to turn water on in the bath tub. The receptionist gave us another room but the conditions were not much improved. We asked for the manager, who was not in and left information for a call back. We have called back after leaving and still have not spoken to anyone in management.
This hotel has to have been the very worst ever. I asked for handicap access room and did not get that. It all went downhill from there. Totally a mess including drug paraphernalia found right outside our door.
Guys it may be true you need to do some updating but I was happy with my stay. I wish the breakfast was a bit better but at the price of the room I understand.
The staff is super nice and the rooms are clean you get plenty of privacy and they make your stay is easy as they can breakfast is OK
I was traveling Austin TX to DeLand FL to visit my 97 year old mother and stopped here overnight. My wife made the reservation and warned me it was cheap. I was very surprised at the quality I got for the price.
Please have better continental breakfast. There were barely any options. Please renovate the wall paint job so it is consistent. We had room 235. The sheets felt moist. The staff was nice though. Sometimes, I saw new people waiting outside the door because there was a sign that said "We will be right back". So these people who came to check in had to wait for the staff to come back just to get their hotel room keys. We heard a lot of yelling, cursing, and shouting near our door at night. We were a little afraid. I know that is not something you guys can control. However, we had no phone in our hotel room, so if something did happen, we would be stuck. I wanted to report there was large shouting at night, but I could not. So below in the form when it says "If you did experience a problem, please tell us about the resolution.", I said "I did not report the problem", not because I did not want to, but because I could not. I did like the beds and bathroom and soap they gave. When we asked for more towels, we got it. Elevator was broken. We were here for a convention. We had a very large suitcase for a convention. We had to drag it up and down the stairs. One of the main things I asked for on the phone of the Days Inn was "Do you have an elevator?" There is no point if it is broken. Wifi was spotty/poor sometimes, but it usually worked. It was just slow. Not "high speed" like the sign says on the lobby counter. Overall, I would give his hotel a strong 3 stars. Not 2 stars, because I can tell they are doing what they can (some of the staff seems to have a high turnover rate. The hotel representative who knocked on our door in the morning and asked if we needed anything said she was new and said "I'll see what I can do" when we asked for extra towels). They said they are about to renovate too.
This is just your basic, bare-bones, "need a night off the road on a cross-country trip" kind of motel. Arby's and Hooters within walking distance at time of this writing. Poor soundproofing (could hear people talking outside my door until 12am), a little smelly (like chemicals used to clean a room someone smoked in), a little dirty - ripped carpets, warped door, patched walls. I think there was something illicit in the carpets thanks to a previous guest, because the day I left, my shoes set off TSA security wands & they couldn't figure out why. The room coffee pouches were decent.
The first room we were in didn't have a shower head, no light bulbs, and the toilet wasn't attached to the floor! Horrible, don't stay here!
