Hyatt Regency Birmingham-The Wynfrey Hotel

We stayed two nights at this hotel in Hoover. Room was nice, although we were awoken both mornings to the sound/screaming/arguing of a young child several floors below us. Since we have younger children, we understand the difficulty in new surroundings, but allowing this child to continue on yelling and actually argue back-and-forth was unacceptable. A call to the hotel desk on the second morning produced no results. My biggest disappointment was the breakfast at Merk’s Tavern & Kitchen. Granted it was busy, but the service was horrendous. We waited in the custom omelet line, received our omelet and ate half of it before a waitress appeared to ask again for our drink orders. Shortly, our water glasses were empty again, and we spent the rest of the meal that way. She seemed to realize how poor the service was because she comp'ed the two children's meals. But the bill was still $40 for a meal which was sub-par to IHOP or Denny's. My children enjoyed the pool which had a hot tub and a well-stocked supply of towels nearby. The parking garage had ample open spaces, but was very tight navigating around the corners and entrance. Definitely wouldn't want to be in a large vehicle. So overall, I'd recommend this hotel but definitely skip the overpriced breakfast and enjoy the convenient location.

The valet staff was great. We would certainly stay there again.

Very attentive and helpful staff; convenient to great shopping and dining!

I paid for parking.. but wasn't able to enter or exit the parking lot without issues ,, once it make late for and appointment.. because gate would not let me out ... plus I buzzed for about 15 minutes or so with cars behind me.. went receptionist twice.. and it never was corrected

Decent large hotel. Slow valet, terrible unusable wifi.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, got us checked into our room fast and efficiently

Nice room, lobby, friendly and welcoming staff. Close to restaurants and mall. Only complaint I have is that we didn't expect to pay for our parking at the hotel!

The hotel is very nice but needs improvement with employee communication (explaining charges, breakfast, etc) they seem to be confused.

Very nice Hotel. staff at front desk were a little slow to help. We woke up to load noise-sounded like someone throwing furniture around, other than the noise we enjoyed our stay.

My newlywed wife and I stayed here on our wedding night and the staff were wonderful. They sent us a bottle of champagne and a tray of strawberries and grapes to our room! It was incredible. Of course the room was excellent and the facilities were wonderful, but that really made us feel special. Highly recommend!

Nice hotel staff, great location (hotel where my conference was being held) and clean, inviting room.

The hotel met all expectations and was very nicely done. There was a problem with the in & out parking, a computer malfunction of some sort. Otherwise, excellent.

Great stay. Clean room Good price. Very good shopping at the entrance of the hotel

Perfect for a relaxing couples getaway. Great and friendly staff.

Very nice hotel. Worth the money. Friendly staff. The rooms have a very modern style.

We loved everything about this hotel, except happy hour. They will know what I'm talking about.

Excellent location, with all type of restaurant inthe area, actually is the only area to enjoy in the city!!

Loved the hotel. Staff was great, room was clean and being attached to the mall was fantastic. Will come here again!

This was our 2nd stay here. The hotel staff were nice and very professional. Our room was clean, although there were items left in the refrigerator.
