The reservation policy of no refunds when we tried to change the resos after onlyh ten minutes, come on I know this is NY but really?

It was noted as a 4-star hotel, but it seemed like may be a 3 star. The property didn’t appear to have much upkeep to it. The bar and restaurant weren’t open.

awful construction noise on both sides of the building in every room. Heating system is either too hot or freezing. alarms in two rooms went off at 6:00AM without being touched by me. Staff is clueless. Avoid at all costs.

The property was in a great location in Manhattan. The room was clean and seemed new.

the staff is extremely nice. everything is clean and new. location is great bc of it's proximity to the train. however the rooms are beyond tiny, even by nyc standards. i didn't even have room to lay my suitcase down. also bring your own blow dryer, none of theirs work long enough to dry a full head of hair.

Perfect location in midtown, right near multiple MTA lines! The king bedroom was a great size, especially for NYC, and the bathroom was nice. Overall, a pleasant experience. Only real issue were construction noise (hotel is right next to two large construction sites... I know NYC is loud, but this was on another level) and the shower curtain did an awful job of preventing water from flooding the entire bathroom.

They forgot to mention it is not valet parking and thatvyou need them to validate your parking via a stamp to get the parking discount. The AC wasn’t not working and kept shutting off and we did not sleep well. No one picked up the front desk phone after calling several times either. We also never record extra blankets which I asked for. Very disappointed

It's not a bad hotel for a business trip. Not much room to walk in the room but the rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

I checked into The Paul Hotel for the marathon this past weekend. Honestly, this review could have ended up being 1 or 2 stars - however, the service was impeccable and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. To start, I booked the lowest level room and honestly, it's tiny with bunk beds. Know going into it, if you're thinking "Oh, I'm okay with a tiny room. I won't spend much time in it." - it's REALLY tiny. Though I would say, with the bunk beds, it'd probably be a great room for kids if you want a separate room for your family. From an amenities standpoint - the rooms have tons of outlets, technology, etc. - everything you'd expect from a hotel room plus more. So, I honestly had a couple problems on this trip. First they authorized too much on my credit card. However, it was a new employee, the manager called to apologize right away and sent me a bottle of wine to make up for it. The second problem was that I was in a room that was facing the street. Between the construction, street traffic and crowds walking by I did not get much sleep the first night. Knowing the next night was the marathon, I asked to see if I could be in a different room and they moved me right away. The new room was perfect - I got a great night's sleep and had a great race. I'd highly recommend The Paul Hotel to anyone.

The Hotel is well located; staff is ok but is not enough specially in the front desk. The worst part is that there is a construction site just a cross the street and at 7 am the noise is too much.

It's a shoebox as are most NYC hotels, but clean and well designed. A great value. My only gripe is that the room heating system was extraordinarily loud. I'm used to sleeping with noise, but this thing was super loud. Staff was very friendly, location was great.

After booking a 50th suprise birthday evening in NYC I came to the following conclusions about the The Paul. - Rude and disrespectful front desk staff. - Uninformative of hotel offerings upon request. - Failure to delivery on a special birthday request for champagne to be place in the room. - My party was locked out of our rooms after previously requesting extended checkout. -Overall subpar cleanliness for what I would expect in a boutique hotel.
