I checked in on a Friday night planning to stay until Sunday morning, me and my friends woke up around 4am to find a bed bug on the pillow, an adult size bed bug at that, we caught it in a plastic cup and brought it down to the front desk, he asked if we needed new sheets, we asked for a different room because we had no where else to go at that time in the morning, no other hotel close by would let us check in until 4pm. He said he’d let the manager know what was going on and that we could talk to her later. We got the new room and checked everywhere for bed bugs & didn’t find anything, still we could barely get back to sleep after the whole ordeal because we were terrified to find another one crawling on our pillows. Because of that we didn’t fall asleep until at least 9-10am, we accidentally slept past 3pm, so by the time we went down to the front desk to figure everything out further the manager was gone and the front desk wouldn’t cancel our next nights stay or refund us:/ the whole situation was really disappointing and disgusting, especially for the amount of money spent just to get a room with bed bugs. Terrible all around. Bed bugs override all Non refundable bookings as well as all no cancellation policies.

Everything was very nice, there was a fight in the hotel lobby. Not necessarily the hotels fault at all as I do not know much about what happened. But it serves as a potential danger to families. I am not from the area and this was the first time I have stayed here so I’m not sure if it’s normal or not.

Negatives: TV stand had food splatter on it. Hairdryer and stand were filthy. There was a bead on the floor of the bathroom (not mine) which told me the floor was not cleaned thoroughly. The pancake machine had an out of order sign on it. The signs they posted had words misspelled. The switch to the light by the bed was missing so it couldn't be used. There's a big gap under the door and the walls are thin so rather noisy. Positives: it was cheaper on a third party site and the beds were decent.

The breakfast was good and the room was clean. But the hotel and rooms are extremely outdated. The room doors are wood and in terrible shape, Cracked and peeling. The caulking around the sink was a dark brown (why wouldn't you use white??) and was peeling and all over the sink. The phone looked like it was from the 80's. There are hardly any plug ins. No upgrades for phone chargers. The tile in the bathroom floor and around the tub was cracked.
