First, the positives. I found all staff extremely pleasant and helpful. The location is very good, within a few minutes of the airport and we could easily walk over to Mall of America. The breakfast was well above average, based on my experience. The not-so-great: we had a very late (1am) check-in and it went without issue...almost. The person helping us switched us to what they believed was a nicer room, with 2 queen beds instead of 1; however, it turned it the room had 2 double beds, significantly smaller than a queen, but as it was very late and we were very tired we decided to just live with it. It wasn't horrible. The decor is maybe late 60's? Much of this location needs remodeling/upgrading. While the location is close to airport and MoA, being close to the airport means jet noise...and I mean JET NOISE. They take-off/land right over the top of this location. I would add, however, that it seemed to only be an issue from about 6am to 11pm. I didn't like paying extra for parking, but it was a nominal $3/day. Lastly, the fitness center, at best, is minimal with two treadmills (one functional), one elliptical (not usefully functional), a rack of dumbbells (some weights missing one/both), and an adjustable bench. Being able to maintain fitness while away from home is high on my priority list. Also, the floor of the very small fitness center had some sort of plastic-y "carpet" and was very hard. There were no foam mats to put down, so I used towels :(
