An Art Deco beauty with the friendly staff and a free garage parking. A bar with a Happy Hour and some good deals on food and drink. Large rooms with comfy beds. Ran an A/C fan to eliminate the noise from the street, and it worked fine. You can also ask for the room facing the side street. A free shuttle to take you and pick you up from the downtown restaurants. If you have claustrophobia the old fashion elevators will make you a little nervous. Overall a pleasant experience and a good value.

Beautiful architecture. Regal vibe. The elevators are an experience in themselves. The beds were amazing and the staff greeted us at the door with kindness and smiles. Beautiful hotel.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a short weekend out of town for the baseball game. I liked that the hotel had the art deco vibe to it, definitely not ordinary. Everything was pretty much clean besides one really gross pillow. Hotel room was average but had everything you could ask for except a fridge (well it had a mini fridge but obviously you don't want to open that).

The location is just on the edge of most things but they have a shuttle that will take you anywhere you want to go! And then pick you up!

Free shuttle to downtown makes this my favorite place to stay. Manager not charging for my double booking by accident was extraordinary! Room was clean and very comfortable.

Hotel is maintained to its original 1928 splendor. Great art deco ambiance with beautiful fixtures and original elevators. Staff is very pleasant. Food in restaurant was expertly prepared, I had the trout almondine with hericot vert and fingerling potatoes. Rooms are sizeable. TV tech is top notch. Bathrooms are a little small but manageable.

Very comfortable, friendly hotel. Always kind staff to help with issues. Rooms are comfortable, clean and perfect for a traveling business person. Dining room and bar are exceptional with perfect late night hours. Van service will take you to most downtown locations. I travel often to Milwaukee and believe this hotel is better than most of the downtown hotels.

The hotel is comfortable and the cost very reasonable. The shuttle is free and will take you back and forth to the Third Ward. The bar has great food and there is outdoor seating. The staff was friendly and accomidating.

Everything about the hotel was up to my expectations. The staff was courteous and attentive.

Room was dirty, room service was disgusting, walls paper thin, loud outside window. Would never recommend this... Even when cheaper then The Holiday Inn.

The Ambassador Hotel was more than we expected. AWESOME lobby and decor throughout the hotel. We were in a corner room which was to die for. Excellent value. Awesome hotel staff!

The hotel is very nice inside and I would definitely recommend this place. Just check your bill invoice before paying. We ordered room service and saw the guy who brought up our food decided to give himself a 35 dollar tip and couldn't find our receipt tab when questioned. Finally got it resolved and taken care of.

toilet fixture in bathroom was too small, had to leave the door open to sit - bathroom was good sized, but position and size of fixture could be improved.

Nice upscale hotel blending modern with historic charm.

Despite being 2 blocks from Marquette U and on the historic register, this hotel was in a very seedy neighborhood. This included half the clients, if you get my drift. Room could have been decent had they cleaned up from the drug deal gone bad. Ike was a very vice waiter though. Dining was nice.

It's a beautiful old Art Deco property, nicely updated, for the most part. Just don't expect a seamless, cookie cutter experience.

Our stay was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. They suggested things to do and places to eat. The room was nice and spacious for two adults and a child. I will definitely stay there again. It was much better than I expected.

We had tickets to see a show at The Rave. This hotel is conveniently located, parking was easy and inexpensive. Most of the hotel staff were top notch...excellent customer service, (I say most because the guy standing by the front entrance upon our departure offered no conversation, offered no help and didn't even say thank you for staying with us. It was awkward and uncomfortable. Our room was huge and so comfortable and the hotel

My stay was great. Room size and comfort was fantastic! Staff were friendly and accommodating. The shuttle service is great and I will stay here on my next visit to see my son.

Exceeded my expectations. Appreciated the decor of the lobby and size of my room. Front desk staff was very helpful and polite over the phone & face-to-face.
