I would stay here again for business around Docklands (i.e. ExCeL), the complimentary pass for the ferry was great. The infrastructure is dated and lack of in-room Wi-Fi was a major hinderance to business connectivity. That stated the staff were great and I would recommend this property based solely on that factor.
It is a good hotel, clean and quite comfortable. But very far from London downtown.
Very expensive to get there from Heathrow. ( 60 to 80 pounds) Staff very helpful, very nice. Rooms nice size. Bathroom has a dangerous step down feature that if you are not careful you will trip. Rooms are spread out all over. Expensive to get to excell center if you have a conference. only a coulpe of pubs near buy that don't want to take AMEX.
It was an okay hotel...I've been at better. The first room I was at was very oddly constructed and curved down where the bed was so you constantly hit your head. I was moved into a much nicer room with a view of the docklands. The biggest problem i had with the hotel was the location...it was nowhere near a tube station so you had to wait to take a shuttle to get to the nearest one.
Excellent service when I needed to get something sent to Paris ahead of my arrival. the concierge was most helpful, as were the rest of the staff. There were problems with the business center printers but they tried their best to resolve the situation, although unable to do so. Still, think that the staff were very nice
