Love, love, loved staying here!!! Location is perfect! It may look like it's on a busy street but we found it to be incredibly quiet. The little coffee shop next door is fantastic for breakfast and people watching. Luigi and Willie were simply perfect!!! I made a mistake while booking and booked for an extra night. They weren't able to give me a refund but instead agreed to upgrade us to the suite on the 5th (I believe) floor. What a beautifully quaint apartment it was! We were greeted with a huge bouquet of flowers, a bottle of wine, and a fruit basket! Such nice touches!! While the balcony didn't have a city view, it did have a nice view of a courtyard and was very nice to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine. Luigi gave us a map and let us know the 'must sees'. Everything was within walking distance! Alot of shopping, the canals, the Duomo and so much more! We decided one night to visit the canal and thought "What was Luigi talking about? It wasn't busy at all and no restaurants?" We turn there corner and there was Luigi!! He recognized us right away and after chatting a bit, we realized we were on the smaller, more quiet canal. It was early and not many places were open for dinner but Luigi walked us to a restaurant that he recommended and later that night, we went back. DELICIOUS!!! The next morning, we ran into Willie at the coffee shop. He hadn't started working yet but he came over to chat and to see if there was anything he could do for us. Both Luigi and Willie were great!!! FYI both spoke good English which helped because our Italian is nonexistent. If/when we go back to Milan, we will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel.

Simple and basic place to stay, but very clean and well-equipped. Small kitchen, mineral water bar, slippers ... free wifi, free parking. The owners try their best to help the visitors, excellent service. Only 200m from the river and the entertainment center of Milan in Navigili, and 1.5km from the Cathedral . Italian breakfast in coffee shop near the hotel. If they will invest in quality bed and linens it will be perfect.

we have just returned from a 3 night break away with friends and to be clear we normally stay at pretty good quality hotels so have grown to expect high service and standards. The Residence Amarmis is totally different from any other hotel (much more understated) than others we have stayed at but we loved it! it was like staying with an Italian family for the weekend. our chats with Luigi and Willy every day were great and went far beyond what was expected and necessary.... The hotel is very clean, has lovely touches such as fresh flowers and fruit in the rooms and yes you could say not as modern or plush as some but we came away from Milan feeling like we would never want to stay anywhere else is we ever went back to Milan ( and i'm sure we will). The breakfast is in a cafe outside of the hotel but on our first morning Luigi took us in showed us the routine and even got them to make us some scrambled eggs after our beautifully fresh croissants of several varieties again another opportunity to feel like an Italian.... we took the train to lake Como on two of the days which was very easy and had a sensational time and then returned to Milan and walked just round the corner to the canals to find a huge variety of superb restaurants and bars. The location is great and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and thank you Luigi for a very memorable holiday :)

Found this place on the internet and booked us it was one of the only places that offered free parking close to the main part of the city ( side note- you don't want the hassle of parking a car in Italian cities). The man who owned the hotel was lovely and very helpful. There was even a basket of fruit in the room complimentary and a water cooler. Something we haven't seen before on our travels so it gave us the chance to save some money on water. There was even a little kitchenette! Which was just wonderful after travelling for a few weeks. The issue waS the fridge didn't work - the man offered to change fridges for us but given we were only staying two nights we didn't see the point. Only negative was the noise that was coming from above our room until early hours of the morning. It sounded like people were moving furniture and shooting a porn video until 1am. It was very annoying. We didn't complain about this as we didn't think the room even belonged to the same hotel. so short of the owner telling them to be quiet, of us moving rooms (which we didn't want to do) we just left it. Would highly recommend!

Luigi could not have been more accommodating - taking a last-minute reservation and helping us to get our rental car out of the (free!) parking garage at 6am before the place opened. Very generous and helpful. Location is super convenient for all the restos, bars, shops in the Navigli area and a pleasant 20-minute stroll to the Duomo. Free parking is very rare in Milan and the parking garage on offer was convenient and secure. Room was fine for our needs; had everything we needed and was clean and well kept.

Our family of five spent the weekend in Milano at the Residence & Hotel Aramis Milan. It was a fabulous location and only a brisk walk away from the sights and centre of the city. We appreciated our local neighbourhood - Navigli for its lively atmosphere and fabulous restaurants nearby. This hotel is well-equipped and comfortably quiet. Luigi and his staff were charming and could not do enough to make us feel welcome and accommodated. Thanks for a great stay in Milano!

You would never know it but the Residence Aramis is a very good value and a very nice property (we would probably even say you wouldn't be able to find it if you weren't using a map app). It's located on a non-touristy street in the Navigli district of Milan - just a 3 block walk to the start of the canals which one should go to for a variety of shops, restaurants and bars. It is maybe 15 to 20 minutes to the heart of the historic area where the Duomo is. The owner is Mr. Luigi who may be one of the nicest independent hotel owners we've encountered since Mr. Jonsson in Vestmannaeyjar. Mr. Luigi can help you book restaurant reservations prior to your arrival (he did for us). Mr. Luigi is a very nice guy as he told my girlfriend to go to the room first because she wasn't feeling 100% while she waited for me to go park the car and before we were able to check in. He asked about our plans and gave us a couple of excellent tips on what to do. He helped bring our luggage up to our room. He asked about our dinner and the restaurant that he helped us book reservations for. He did it all. He even leaves you a welcome fruit basket in your room. The parking is included but just a bit difficult as he'll take you to the parking lot about 2 blocks away from the hotel but you couldn't take your car out past a certain time in the evening and before a certain time in the morning (though to be honest, as a tourist, you probably will be walking everywhere and won't be driving around town too much). Breakfast is included but is really a coffee, a glass of juice and 2 pastries from an adjoining coffee shop. Nevertheless, it'll give you a boost before you explore Milan and will leave you with ample stomach space to eat some of the great food Milan has to offer. The room was spacious (big enough for us to lay 2 suitcases on the floor and have more than enough space to walk around), has a kitchenette with fridge, stovetop, cutlery, cooking ware and a table with 3 chairs. We also had a water cooler in our room which we thought was a nice touch. Wifi was a touch slow (but we found that to be the case in all our Italian hotels). Overall, we thought this property was a good value with the parking, spacious rooms with kitchenettes if you want to cook yourself, and great service you'll get from Mr. Luigi. We stayed here on our first leg of our Milan trip because we wanted to be near the canals and we certainly would do so again. Thanks Mr. Luigi.

This being my second visit to Milan and without any doubt stayed again at Residence & Hotel Aramis. I cannot stop myself writing about wonderful experience here. Right from the approachable, fantastic location to comfortable, peaceful ambiance of the hotel was simply excellent. Nearest Metro station is Porta Genova which is 5-6 min walk from hotel. Duomo can be reached via tram within 5 min or one can take a walk [by doing some window shopping :) too ] of around 20 min to reach Duomo. The multinational hypermarket express store Carrefour is also nearby from where one can get all the required stuff. During night one can chose to wander to nearby attraction Navigli and can try aperitivo! The room was spacious, comfortable and always clean. The staff was helpful and supportive. Free Wi-Fi, mineral water, laundering, and complimentary fruit basket were great. Luigi and Willy were very helpful and considerate, their guidance about conveyance, landmarks, nearby places, train-passes and even visit to nearby cities was indeed very helpful. They were always there whenever the need arose. Their hospitality really won my heart and for sure this hotel will be my first choice for staying next time in Milan. Grazie !!

Excellent rooms - nice touches such as fruit in your room and free mineral water. Tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Good location near the Navigli canals. Host very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

This a real treat to visit. The host in incredibly friendly and helpful. He sorted our parking out and advices us where to eat. When you enter your room your eye is immediately directed to a bouquet of fruit beautifully presented. The accommodation is of an extremely high quality and there was really very little to fault it. The hotel is well located in an old district of Milan known for its food. It is a lovely place to wonder around and with the canals almost Venice like at night. So if you are visiting Milan this place is highly recommended.
