I stayed in this hotel twice during the summer. The first time I stayed in a standard room and the second time I stayed in the executive room. I liked the standard room better simply because then i have a patio and in the exec room I didn't. - The hotel is situated in a central area by Navigly. Quite a lot of restaurants around so no need to eat in the hotel. However on my first night around I did eat at the hotel and that was the first and the last time I dined there. I ordered a steak and the dish was served with some vegetables when it said it's served with salad. Make a long story short the quality of the hotel's food does not justify its price so you better eat out. - There is no gym at the hotel - Breakfast is nice but sometimes the tables are not being cleared at all when all other tables are occupied.... so you have to clear it out yourself. (only happened to me twice tho, during both stays). - The hotel is quiet, wifi is decent. - One more thing : upon arrival there are two plastic cups that 'disappear' (as in not being replaced/renewed) as the week goes, then do your math - on the third day you are left with no drinking ability. Why plastic anyway? It would be so much better just to use normal coffee mugs.
This has got to be one of the worst hotels I've been in. After having a late check in, we arrived to find out hotel room with no pillows. The bathroom was clean, but missing towels & the vanity mirror was broken. I called reception to inform them of the situation & the receptionist told us that she would send someone right away with pillows. This was at 9:30pm at night, & we were already tired from a long journey. Half an hour has passed & our pillows still haven't arrived. I called reception again, & the receptionist asked us to come down to reception to collect the pillows. When my husband went down to collect them, he was given beaten down pillows, with no pillows covers, & a sheet to cover the pillows. The pillows were so flat & beaten down that we had to request additional pillows. One of the pillows also had a blood stain on it which made me want to cry from frustration. This is our first night of three nights here & we are already planning on cancelling our booking, as another 2 nights in this hotel would most definitely ruin our holidays.
Air conditioning not working and never repaired Hair dryer not working and electrical cables on sight, Cables were covered , device never worked They gave me a discount on the first night, but never resolve the problem
The main reason we picked this hotel was due to its proximity to the canal area where the bars and restaurants were. The hotel is perfectly positioned as it can't have taken ten minutes to get there. The hotel itself is fine. No problem with the room; although not massively big it was clean and bright. There was a fridge and a coffee machine. Apparently, we had been upgraded to a better room which seemed to constitute a free minibar (with a few fruit juices in it which was rarely refilled) and a coffee machine (which rarely had pods). Not really a problem though - when we were desperate for a coffee we just asked reception and someone popped up soon after with more coffee. Bathroom was good and the bed was comfortable. What more can you ask for? Very good value for money. Staff were very pleasant too.
You pay your money you take your choice. Nothing to fault in the hotel it's just a typical accor chain hotel. You know what you're going to get....clean and sterile. Location very close to metro and 10 min walk to canals.
Very easy 2 minute walk from Florence Railway station, centrally located for ALL locations. Hotel is modern. Extremely clean and the staff are a pleasure to deal with, so friendly Breakfast is also very good
We stayed just a night and didn't spend much time there. Really convenient location as short walk to station and bars and restaurants but rooms were very small and dark and nothing to write home about. Price was great and was clean but we went up and down 3 times to get our keys activated as not sure what reception were doing but it wasn't working! The lifts were tiny and I felt unsafe in them and the reception seating area was small too. The toilets near reception were lovely! It's fine for a night or 2 but don't expect too much for this Mercure, probably the bottom end of ones I've stayed in.
I came to the city as part of my Fashion Design studies for Milan Fashion week. The hotel choice was absolutely perfect for my 4 nights stay. The room was perfectly appointed and super clean. The breakfast which was included in my rate was delicious and so sumptuous that I could skip lunch daily. The front office and Concierge team was so helpful and really directed me well around in town since it was my first trip to Milan. The proximity to the Giorgio Armani theater was really beneficial to me as it was only 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. I do hope to make it coming year again to Milan for Fashion week and will definitely stay in Mercure Milano Solari again. Thanks for such an amazing stay!!!!
I only stayed in this apartment for 1 night as it was a last minute stay as the air con was broken in the apartment I had planned on staying in. The hotel looked a bit rough from the outside but everything inside was modern and rooms were very clean. There was a nice big bathroom and large bed which was very comfortable. It is very basic which is what you expect from the price. The location was great as it was only a 15 minute walk to the main shopping area which leads up to the cathedral. The hotel is also about a 5 minute walk from Navigli which is an amazing area for bars. Would definitely stay here again.
Rooms are clean but small. Bathroom and toilet is clean small but air recirculation is bad. So you feel the bad smell inside the room. Rooms are dark: good for sleepers, bad for workers. There is no working space. When we entered the room the sink was clogged and the spigot was not in its place. I asked them to correct it and they sent the technician in seconds. But it repeated again the day after. You can access to metro and tram lines easily. Not very close but there are supermarkets and restaurants. Solari Oark is very close, if you have time you can enjoy. Receptionists were polite. No parking area. Rates are a bit more than expected. Breakfast is not so good and it is a bit expensive.
