AC Hotel Milano by Marriott4.0 out of 5.0

Though I stayed at this location on Marriott points, it was an excellent choice of hotel due to styling and location. It is easy to get to Malpensa Milano airport via the Malpensa Express train from Garibaldi train station (it would have been nice to know the shortcut from the station to the hotel). The hotel is modern and functional with few frills. Four elevators serve the 17? floors and while we did not have the problems as I had read of temperature control, one of our windows, which all were supposed to be sealed, seemed to leak a bit of noise and air pressure only to the point that we could hear perhaps a bit more of street noise from the 6th floor (room 607). Still, not complaining as Marriott Gold allowed us a/early checkin at 11am as well as b/room upgrade to a king sized bed, and c/late checkout. Was very pleased with the one night stay though it was a long unofficial weekend as May Day was on a Tuesday and the official holiday, though Monday seemed pretty empty as many perhaps took that day off as well. Some young adults were bouncing a football on my floor near the elevators but after telling them that that was inappropriate behavior in a hotel, it ceased and calling the front desk was unnecessary, though they did manage to always let their room door slam. Kids. The breakfast buffett was 16€/person was average though on a busier day with more guests, the food might have been prepared more frequently and therefore, not sitting out as long as the dining area was not even 1/4 full at 9am. Ample selection with hot and cold items.
it was the second time we were here,,the service was very worst than first time,,they didn’t put a coffeemaker in our room,,it was just a simple room without any staff,i wasn’t happy from my staying at this hotel,
The location was close to the metro so it was easy to get around the city. The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable beds. The lobby and Aperitivo had great selections and food options. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint about this hotel is the AC shuts off from 11pm-11am so your room turns into a sweat box at night especially if you are on a high floor. We called and complained about the room temperature but was told there was nothing they could do. One night the heat was so unbearable we couldn’t sleep. Other than the AC issue this was an overall good stay.
Spent 4 nights at this hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It's convenient to two metro lines and trams. It's very close to many restaurants. Room was very large and our king bed was so comfortable. The hotel also serves a great buffet breakfast. This is a terrific modern hotel in Milan.
Great location if you’re travelling from Garibaldi Station, although it is NOT a great area around the hotel. We were catching an early morning train, so having the station a 10 minute walk away was ideal. You can catch a tram to the centre from the stop a few minutes walk away, just a few euros for a day pass. Reception are helpful and check in/out was efficient. The rooms are minimalist to say the least, with modern styling that just doesn’t feel luxurious, so you wouldn’t want to stay here for longer than a night or it may start to feel more like a prison... The bathrooms don’t have proper doors to them and the bathroom itself is functional but feels sparse. Hotel was expensive (on points) for what it was.
Check in was wonderful. Given upgrade and free welcome drink because of Platinum status. Very close to train station. Short walk to Corso Como. Breakfast was good but not free but knew that before arriving. Will stay there again.
This hotel was nice. Clean, comfortable bed. Big towels. On the down side, even though we are Marriott Platinum elite members the breakfast was not included with our room. It is right next to the main train station.
I’m currently staying at this hotel. The hotel is generally fine - however the room is uncomfortably hot to the extent that it seems more sauna than a bedroom. This really spoils the experience. I have raised this with reception and they have advised that nothing can be done aside from opening the window.
I love the hotel but I really didn’t like the hotel area . But you can take trolley to downtown Milan .it is just 10 mins and only €3. Room is very big and clean. I really like the view from 11th floor . WiFi is fast . You can get very good breakfast with €16 per person.
We had an overall good experience here. We were upgraded to a large suite, which was the nicest room I have seen in an AC hotel in Europe. The hotel was close to a train station which is very convenient or coming to and from the airport (train takes less than an hour). While not far from city center, it's just far enough that I only walked it one time. Otherwise (and at night) I recommend an Uber or the subway. the front doors to the hotel appeared to have gunshots or some problem as the glass was shattered and held together by tape. At first, when I arrived, I was worried about safety due to this, but it seemed to be very safe, and I'm not sure why they were waiting to fix the glass. My only real criticism of this hotel is that the staff were not very helpful and could not assist us with help around the town. They even gave us the wrong train information upon departure - thank goodness we double checked on our own! The exception is the gentleman working when we checked out, who went out of his way to give me a stamp and put a postcard in the mail.
