I booked a room 6 months ago for a trip to the area. I used booking.com and when I arrived there was no record of my reservation. I received an email from booking.com confirming my stay but there was a lack of communication somewhere. The employee of the Sleep Inn was kind and tried to help me find other accommodations. I will not stay at this location again without calling to confirm my reservation.
This is a gorgeous hotel that also caters to pets. The staff was not only great to my family, but they also welcomed my puppy Boomer too. Was nice to look out of our room window to see deer on the lawn at dusk. I will always stay at this hotel every time I visit. Thank you very much for a warm and welcoming stay.
We just spend 8 days at this hotel , while hiking the beautiful trails around the Cumberland Gap National Park. The room was spacious and up to date. Very friendly staff. A great hot breakfast and I have to single out the young lady who took care of the breakfast room. There was never anything short or missing for the breakfast . Overall a great experience. I would recommend this hotel without any reservation . 2 small items for management: The room had a “ green “ sign that says the towels would only be replaced every 3 days unless you asked differently at the front desk . We went to the front desk to ask for daily service and they said that is what they did anyway. I would suggest to take away the sign in the room The bill has a desperate $2 charge a day for the safe in the room. That is ridiculous . Please include that in the overall price rather than singling this out .
Stayed one night and we wish we could have stayed longer. Courteous staff and friendly, knowledgeable . Very clean room, spotless. Comfortable bed with free WiFi. Excellent free hot breakfast and again courteous staff keep cleaning in thebrealfast room and supplying food endless. Very reasonable price compared to some place nearby. Definitely will come back to stay , longer next time.
We've stayed here several times, and this visit was just as enjoyable as the rest. Clean, quiet, and comfortable rooms with excellent service! Couldn't ask for much more, and look forward to visiting them on our next trip.
I stayed at the Sleep Inn in Middlesboro twice in the last month and both times I was very impressed. The staff were friendly and courteous. They even called up to my room to make sure that everything was to my satisfaction. Not many hotels would do that now a days, and it just makes the guest feel comfortable and actually cared for. The location of this Sleep Inn is a big selling point: sitting up on a hill overlooking the main strip with all the stores and restaurants. It’s a good escape to be up above it all and tucked away in the woods. The rooms are spacious and have a beautiful color design. I made a lot of use of the desk and it had a very comfortable chair. The beds were comfortable and the pillows nice and firm. The best part of my stay, though, was the continental breakfast served each morning from 6-9:30. Fresh bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, the most amazing cinnamon roll pastries, bagels, yogurt, oatmeal – basically anything you can imagine. Overall throughout the entire experience, the Sleep Inn in Middlesboro is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I will be recommending anyone I know who is coming to visit the area to stay there, and I can’t wait to check back in again myself.
Great hotel! New, clean and they have a great breakfast!! The whole town is interesting because it sits inside a meteor crater. The crater is much larger than the one in Arizona and it's easy to get to for travelers on the East Coast. Nearby is Cumberland Gap where Daniel Boone pioneered his way to the West
Friendly and a very nice hotel. Crisp clean sheets, comfy room with a king sized bed, roomy bathroom, and good wifi. The hall carpets could use a shampooing, but don't let that stop you ... Absolutely worth the money (And the cranberry-orange water in the lobby was delicious and refreshing). Friendly and responsive staff.
Great location and very nice property. I arrived before 3pm and they allowed me to check-in earlier. Very nice lobby, lemon water, apples and newspapers. The room is clean, neatly detailed and everything I had requested. Housekeeping was kind and efficient. Breakfast was excellent and host on top of things. Two points of recommendation: 1) Wi-Fi was spotty, internet access was not up to hotel standards; 2) If the elevator is not working for one specific floor (button fell out), it should be a critical service call to get someone out same day it happens. It is a safety issue to wait 2 days to get it fixed. The company should have a contract with the elevator company that covers urgent breaks. We happen to be in the handicap room and one of us had to go upstairs, send the elevator down. Don't get me wrong, it can be done, but a guest should not have to do that. It is my first time staying at this hotel and it's a lovely property with great reviews, so take this feedback in the spirit of improvements for your property. I still recommend to others since its such a central location near restaurants, stores and highways.
We picked this hotel for our family visit to the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park because of its high customer ratings and its Choice Gold Hospitality Award. It definitely met our expectations. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast server was very attentive and even made sure cheese danishes were specially put out for our second morning. The hotel is advantageously located near the park and all other amenities a vacationing family would need, while still being off the busy highway with a nice view of the mountains over the city to greet you in the morning. For families with children, it should be noted that there is no pool, but it will also probably be one of the only times your family can say that they slept in a meteor crater. (Middlesboro, Kentucky, is located inside a very large meteorite impact site that is millions of years old.) Sleep soundly.
