The log cabin exterior looks nice but the room itself was very dated and worn. The cheap furnishings had a far amount damaged spots, though they were functional. There was a remote that turned the TV on, but was for a DVD or something. I had to use the buttons on the side of the TV to change channels etc and going through channels on by one, a royal pain. There was no bedside table, there was a lamp on a low table at the foot of the bed. On the plus side, there was a small frig, microwave and coffee maker. When I arrived the room was hot, so I turned down the unit which is noisy. The next evening when I returned from my conference, the room was freezing and I figured out the unit had been turned to high AC in midNov! Once I got it back on heat it warmed up. I ran the hot water in the sink for a minute or two but it never warmed up. I suppose if I wanted to waste more water it might have gotten warm. I decided against a shower. A friend told me the rooms in the front of the hotel that cost about $10 more are nicer. If you just need a bed, and are not to particular about mattress comfort, this place might do for a night or two since it appears to be the most affordable option in Harlan.

You can start with the fact that the online pics are not a true representation of this property. The office is not some big beautiful building. Its in one of the units. The room we were given, #41 was very dirty, the pillows had stains on them and the furniture in the room was busted. I complained to the ckerk who wanted to argue with me that in order to have a better room, it would cost me $10 more. We are paying $78 for a room already and im not staying in a disgusting room. He finally gave me an " upgraded room" . The floor was not vaccuumed, the bathroom flooring was coming up, the vanity light does not work, the shower was dirty and the only outlet available for my phone charger ws dangerous and missing the cover. The room was a king bed but only had 2 tiny pillows and you were firced to crawl across the bed to sleep because it is shoved against the wall to have room for it. There was no chance i was going to get a refund of my funds so we stayed..... I will never stay there again..
