Gale South Beach

4.5 out of 5.0

I loved my stay as well as the customer service. However I did wish the pool was open later than 8pm.

We stayed in The Kaskades building at The Gale. Kaskades is a separate building from The Gale, but has all the amenities and then some. The bard was unbelievably comfortable, probably the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. The hotel is in the northern part of South Beach and is within walking distance of Lincoln St. shopping, the beach, and tons of restaurants. Also, Dolce, the restaurant in The Gale has great service and food.

Extra unjustified charges. Still don't know why. Our Room was by the bar area. They Did not tell us. It Kept us up until closing. Not good for families. Bathrooms have no doors and see through window from room to bathroom. Dumb! No bathroom door blocking off shower and the show is glass. Wasn't good at all for my daughter and I. Had to leave the room for changing and using the bathroom or shower. Would not recommend. The booking said room "with view". Not one room in the entire hotel has a "view" all windows face another building. Your view will always be a building beside you.

This was my 27th Anniversary but my first real vacation with my husband. It was everything I could have dreamed of and more. The walk in marble tub and sauna was to die for. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was awesome!

Don't have any complaints. Hotel is walking distance to everything. Great room and comfy bed and beautiful bathroom too. Would stay there again.

Room are too small , for additional space prob no door for bathroom on pictures this hotel looks better then in real life !!! I am not coming back to this hotel again!

The room was fine and clean. The staff was always super friendly. The restaurant is great and the happy hour at the bar is outstanding. However, the pool is DEFINITELY not as great as they claim it to be. I laid out there two afternoons and one time only one staff member came up (looked to be management) and the water and towels (or lack there of) were not replenished. The second time someone on the facilities staff came up and seemed like they were about to leave without putting out more towels (there were none) or refilling the water except another guest stopped them and asked. Also, I had no cable channels (literally just five local channels) and when I asked, they sent someone up who said that was correct, though the front desk said I should have cable. I said someone came up to fix it and did nothing. They said they would look into it and I never heard anything else. When I looked at my credit card a couple days after checking out I had a random charge from Gale. I called and they said it was a minibar item, which I did NOT use. It took a couple calls and a week to get the charge reversed. Annoying!

We had a great time! Our room was a bit small but it was clean, comfy, and cute!

Could not be happier with our vacation to South Beach. The weather, the food, and especially the hotel. Spend most of the time outside but nice to know that u have a wonderful room to come back to at the end of the day. Staff was friendly and informative. Overall a great place to be. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Great spot! Very close to the beach and Lincoln Road shops and restaurants.

I stayed at the hotel for 6 nights and I am very satisfied with the room comfort and cleanliness, safety of the hotel and the entertainment. The staff was very friendly and professional.

There are 2 buildings that consists of this hotel ( one across the street from the Gale ). It smells like mold in some of the rooms in the htl building across the street Neither have beach front which is a hassle. Rooms are very small and nowhere to put suitcase or clothes.

Would like to return to the hotel the staff was great to work with and help me in different situations. Room service was spot on and the food there is great.

A good European atmosphere in a classic Hotel. Beautiful view from the roof top swimming pool area. 2 mn walk from the beach amazing sunrise... Nice for someone that want to have a town atmosphere very close to the beach....

By far one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had!

Nice room for quick getaway. Dolce restaurant was excellent and hotel offered many amenities.

The hotel was a block away from the beach! It was very nice.

The rooms are amazing, the staff is even more amazing. Fantastic location. Walking distance to all.Got off a cruise ship early. My room was upgraded to the Kascades(sister property, next door) which was to die for.Power toilet with power heated seat and bun warmer & bidet. Power curtains, big screen TV ,huge suite. The room is huge, has a balcony looking 17th st.Kascades has continental breakfast and Happy Hour. . Nice touch. Say hi to Jose, Dwight & Cassandra, they make it amazing.

great stay! hotel was beautiful with new renovations. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great location in South Beach, a 2 minute walk to Lummus Park. Across from the Delano, Ritz, Sagamore, Marseilles, and Di Lido of the Ritz Carlton. Easy and safe for walking, shopping, dining and beaching. Very modern, contemporary hotel. Staff service is personalized with only 87 rooms. Roof top deck had beautiful 360 degree view. Pool water was bathtub warm in Dec, even with rain. 400 thread sheets were very comfortable. All linen was very white, almost like new. Instead of valet parking, walked only two short blocks away for safe public parking in a Miami Beach city lot for only $16 per day. Continental breakfast was included: coffee, juice, croissant, and a big bowl of fresh cut fruit. Concierge was knowledgeable and helpful. Good insulation: even on the second floor, never heard the restaurant, bar, or even night club. Lemon ice water available 24 hours a day even champagne in the evening. Fresh apples and bananas available in the fitness room. Wonderful place, and would return without any hesitation.
