Rude bartender, loud Music till 1 in the morning, humid room with almost wet Sheets, small rooms

The room was comfortable but half the room was in the dark (just no lamps/lights) and many things were broken or not working (they fixed some and not others). The room was cleaned once a day but half of the time we did not have any towels at all (dirty towels were removed and not replaced). I have never been in a hotel with such dirty/stained carpets. We had to get our room keys 3 times because they were not working. There is no front desk at the hotel (you have to go to the hotel across the street) and the staff there are incredibly rude or unhelpful. There is either a long line at the front desk or no one is there. They do not answer their phones and when they do they give you the incorrect information. Finally, the "free" shuttle did not come to pick us up at the airport (we waited over an hour) and it was not available when we left to go back. I would say it is a 1.5 star hotel. Overall, definitely not worth the price.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and cozy. Perfect for couples.

I use to go 3 days per week at the shelley hotel back eraly 2000 til 2006. It has change!!!!! Room stink, ac blows coldiche, matresses are dioping on the side.... Cheap but way to expensive for what it is.... I ll never go back again and will now pay more but at least get something cofortable odor free....

I had to walk sideways around the huge bed in my small room. The surly lobby bartender was a DJ wannabe who blasted music when I was trying to get some rest and relaxation. The airport shuttle driver took off early and left me waiting 15 minutes for him to circle back and return, while I waited not knowing if he was ever going to show up and if I might have to take a taxi instead.

My stay was great. Close to the beach. Great staff. Upset that hookah wasn't available all the time, just certain hours.

The tv didn't work properly and was not moved to another room. The only offer made to compensate was a cup of fountain soda because I requested it.

The rooms, service, staff & beds were great, but there was NO place to unpack. Get some drawers and door hooks to make the stay a 10!!

Beds comfy, stocked mini bar& snack tray. There are no drawers or closets for storage though. 3min walk to Beach.

I ended up getting fungus on my feet due to the shower.

Staff was nice. Hallways were dark and ugly. Room was clean but way too small. No restaurant. Good location.

The best part of this hotel is the location. Everything you want to do on south beach is in walking distance. We only had to use Uber once or twice on our trip. Hotel room was quite clean and the beds were comfortable. The A/C was not quite working at full capacity, but since the weather was good it did not matter much. The bathroom vent was not functioning, so it led to some smelly situations, if you know what I mean. The happy hour seemed like fun (although we did not partake). Ideal place for a group of friends, maybe not so much for a family.

Pros: The location was great; the cleaning people cleaned the floors (post sand et al); the daily happy hour was fantastic. Cons:The space was tiny; the lights were dim; the walls slightly thin, and "Palmetto" (water roaches) were found twice in our bedroom; the renovation was done half way.

Hotel Shelley is all about its location. Very nice and helpful people. Our room was kinda small, two queen beds for 3 people, but I liked the design of the room. We took the shuttle from the airport and that was convinience but on our way back to the airport the shuttle didnt show up so we had to get a taxi!!!!

Great hotel in a great location. Walking distance to the beach and shopping. Nice place for a romantic gateway.

The hotel is conveniently located very close to the beach and to a lot of bars and restaurants. Good value for the price.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Our complimentary shuttle service runs every hour from 9AM - 10PM from Miami International Airport. We pick-up from terminal G and you will need to present your reservation documentation to board. I'm disappointed to learn your overall stay with us was not as expected. We strive for guest satisfaction, but it seems we missed the mark this time. Please return to us for a future stay where I know we can exceed your expectations.

Hello Ed! Thank you for leaving your review. I'm sorry the room was not as expected. Our art deco property offer quaint accommodation as they were built in the 1930's. I'm glad that our fantastic location, being steps away from the beach, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment was a positive! I hope you will consider us for a future stay were we can show you a much better stay.

Thank you for writing a review! I'm disappointed to learn of your experience with us. Our lobby bar has music to keep it lively, but you should still have been able to rest. I will have to look into this further. As our shuttle has several stops to make, if for any reason you were not ready, we would simply allow you the time to prepare and return for pick up. I'm sorry your stay was not enjoyable, but please consider us again in the future.
