Excellent location, close to everything South Beach, room is ok, nothing fancy. Great hotel for the party people not good for conservatives...

This hotel was great for the price and location. It is a quick walk to the beach and the hotel seemed clean. We had a room in the back so it was nice and quiet considering its location right on Ocean Drive.

Nice hotel overall that was in walking distance to everything. The hotel staff was excellent and very helpful! I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. Only thing I didn't like was the restaurant staff. They were very pushy and rude trying to get your business. A major turn-off.

Great location if you're in Miami to party. I went on a family trip with my son and husband and it was okay until the night I had to be up at 6am the power goes out for at least 3-4 hours in the middle of the night!! Okay trapped in a room trying to sleep in Miami 'S HEAT and the air conditioner goes off!! On top of having a baby with you!! WORST experience. It was so hot and uncomfortable I literally couldn't wait to check out. No amenities don't expect much of anything and you'll be happy. However the staff was awesome very friendly and helpful

The hotel is in prime location. The beds were small. 2 adults were a tight fit and the room was dirty. The bathroom had visible mold, there was a blood stain on my bathroom door and the sheets and pillows had stains on them. At 4am I saw a roach climb up the wall. I asked the front desk for a wine opener and they did not even bother to look for one. When I asked for ice I was directed to 3 different places. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The only thing you are paying for is location. Our stay was miserable there that we checked out after the first night. The hot water wasn't working, the elevator works on and off and our first morning there was no water at all. Don't let me forget the big water bug/ roach that was in the room. This hotel is not built around customer service at all. This should be the very last place you choose to stay when going to Souty Beach. If the food is any indication of the service and amenities at the hotel, I wouldn't eat there either.

Once I arrived the staff was very courteous and helpful with honoring my requests. The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms were very nice and updated.

Great trip. Had a great time with my hubby for his birthday

just an average hotel with a great location. room small to average. lobby ...average. elevator....below average.

Me and my lady friend had two rooms reserved. One room had the shower handle fall off midst shower and the other had the tv not working, both when we first arrived. We waited for 2 hours for the tv to be repaired and they did not have the coax cable required on-site and it was not repaired until the next afternoon. The accommodations are not as neat as they were a few years a go when we stayed. In addition the housekeeping was poor as the room was not attended to until 3PM on the 2nd day. Towels were not replaced on the first day. Last, the air controller was noisy the room smelled musty and it was always either too hot or too cold. The beautiful view of the dirty roof next door and the clanking of the dishes being washed below between buildings was enough to make us not want to return for a 3rd time. There are no fitness facilities, no pool, no spa.

We didn't spent a ton of time in the room, but we had everything we needed when we were there. It was not the most luxurious place, but the location was phenomenal, and the staff was very friendly. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We had a great night on the town- perfect location to walk up and down the beach and get drinks or food. Staff was very friendly, we had a great stay.

$9 for a warm beer was just a little pricey! room was clean and comfortable excellent value for the money very friendly staff . we only stayed one night before our cruise this place is right in the middle of everything south beach .

For the past (4) years, friends and I have been going to South Beach and usually try out different hotels each time...This year we decided to stay at the Colony Hotel again because we had new guests with us who have never been to Miami and we thought they should eperience stayng on Ocean Drive...We had no issues the last time we stayed there (2) years ago and were happy to see that things had not changed...Our rooms were very clean...We didn't have to call to ask for additional towels or toilet paper like we have to at other hotels...I love the fact that this hotel has a safe in it so you don't need to worry about the safety of your money or other valuables while away from the room...It also has a refrigerator, iron, iron board, HD tv, DVD player & plenty of space to store your belongings...I only wish it had a microwave and more outlets to use for charging electronics...We used the valet service this year as we had rental cars and that process of returning and checking out the cars went smoothly...Also, the staff at this hotel are all GREAT, FUN people!!!

I read all the reviews rooms are small.. this and that.. well first YES rooms are small but when you are upgraded to an ocean front JUST because I will take it! We must take also into consideration that this is right on the drive and in the middle of it all.. so yes you can expect the rooms to be smaller then a suite.. But the stay was MAGNIFICENT.. The view breath taking.. the action was amazing.. and I would definitely go back in a heart beat and stay at the colony without a doubt!!

Since Location is right across from the beach. You dont have to go far to jump right into the action. Plain Hotel. Sadly, my room was only cleaned ONCE during my 6 day stay.

I booked the Colony Hotel for 1 night as a I just returned from a weekend on a cruise and wanted to spend a night in South Beach. I thought the room was perfect for what I wanted. Updated room, clean, perfect location, and cheap. I would reccomend if you are only going for a few nights. However, my girlfriend noted that the room is not ideal for girls. There was no mirror to get ready in and the blow dryer barely worked. We had room 102 which was right next to the bar and we did not experience any noise that couldn't be tuned out with a TV or AC. The staff was very friendly at check in. They took our bags and provided us beach towels. However, when requesting bath towels the next day, it took 45 mins and 3 visits to the front desk to get this completed. If you are just going for a night or 2 and want to be in a perfect location in a clean room, then stay here. It was worth the $95 for 1 night, but would not reccomend for a girls trip.

desk staff needs to be more professional and attentive. Seems like they hired a college party-goer to run the front desk who spends more time talking to girls and cracking jokes than attending to new arriving customers. Rooms lack everything necessary needed in a room, no mirrors, they have a fridge but no microwave. The weekend I went, they didn't turn on their iconic hotel neon lights outside. Could be a great hotel with a little more professionalism and amenities.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean. The elevator door was heavy & there was a lot of noise from other guests closing the heavy room doors but I still got enough rest. I would stay here again! I love the location :)

Our first room on the third floor smelt like a urinal and the phone did not work. They could not move us the first night but did on the second night. The new room & bathroom were much fresher smelling. The front desk was not overly helpful for the price we were paying. I always felt I was imposing on them when I asked them to fix the TV and the refrigerator in the second room. The hotel is right in the middle of party central although we did not hear any noise in the room. I think I will move off the beach or to mid beach next time. The whole area is very safe and quite walkable.
