Amazing location, very close to plaza España, and to the subway. Gran vía is the Main Street in madrid. The room was clean and quiet, the service was good, and the overall experience was good. The iron didn't work and spoiled my shirt. The AC didn't switch off. And the price of stay was high.
The Hotel is very clean and quit. Toilet is very nice , price is very good for that location. I did not try the breakfast there so I can not tell but I expect it will be nice as all the services was nice.
Where should I start? I am a very simple person and therefore require the most minimum to be content. So when I say this hotel is TERRIBLE I even surprise myself. My husband and I were really disappointed with our stay. The worst of it all was that our room had no air conditioning. We complained on the first day we were there and they sent a repair man to our room. He explained the filter was dirty so he changed it and that now the AC would no longer blow warm air. We waited and waited the AC was still blowing warm air. On our second day there we complained again at reception. The woman gave us another room to try out. Upon walking into that room (with the AC in full blast) the room was warm. Now we started to realize it's not just our room. Probably most of the rooms at this hotel had an air conditioning issue. We went back to reception and told her the room was hot. She then proceeded to page the manager who was supposed to stop by our room. Two hours of waiting in our room no manager showed up. We called reception and was told they don't know why the manager hasn't shown up/responded. They called him again. NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP. NO ONE HELPED US. My husband and I gave up. We did not want to spend our whole vacation complaining about the AC and spending time in our hotel room waiting for help to show up. On top of all this the rooms are not clean. It would be nice if the manager who comments on everyone's reviews actually posted their contact information, would have been useful.
Nice hotel, great location on the gran via, friendly staff who made great suggestions to us about best tapas restaurant, decent price, room was nice spacious and clean. almost perfect stay, no downside whatsoever..
Nice location once you find it. There are 3 Tryp properties within a couple hundred meters of one another. Front desk staff and check in was easy, although they are really persistent to have a scanned copy and signature of each person registered. First time experiencing this in any travel. Apparently it is a government requirement to collect this information and send to the police every night in relation to terrorism protection. Not all the hotels we stayed in, in Spain required this. Some one or none. Rooms are nice size and well furnished. Would prefer one double/queen bed rather than 2 singles. Also would prefer an empty fridge to put our own things into. The room was loud with the "upgrade" facing grand via. I would suggest not being on the road side. That said, ear plugs are cheap and available at the Farmacia near by. Breakfast was ample and had gluten free options if you asked. Subway at the corner, close to the hop on hop off tour bus and walkable to many places.
Hello, I stayed at the hotel with my family for one night. I did not like the condition of the room. Part of the wall was painted. Door leading to the terrace was jammed in the bottom. The top right hand side of the bathroom door is broken. The savannah with holes. The old cochon of docks. The truth for the price paid is not worth it. The room needs a makeover. The location of the hotel 9. The best receptionists of the afternoon shift. Very friendly, attentive and professional, at the height of 4 stars. Mention also for the breakfast waitress, friendly and attentive. For the staff, you could go back to the hotel, not the room. Hab 8805
This hotel is conveniently located on Gran Via, a few steps from Plaza de España, and a metro station with the same name, also a few steps from Santo Domingo metro station, and many places like Palacio Real and Almudena Cathedral, Opera, Callao and Puerta del Sol. Very close to theaters, cinemas, shops and restaurants. The lobby is small, but has a restaurant one floor up and sitting area. The rooms are spacious, clean and many have great views. Our room was very nice, with a great view and had a minibar. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. Special thanks to Santiago, who was corteous and always had a smile. If you reserve in advance, you can get a great price for a nice room.
Stay 3 nights in July 2017 during family vacation. Good, clean and modern hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is great, close to plaza Callao Lots of shopping and places to eat. Will definitely go back
Was very close to Plaza de España, Gran Via, and metro stations. Made it very convenient when visiting. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good at a reasonable price. The staff was also very pleasant. Not a big deal since, but the WiFi is a little slow (it is free though, so can't complain).
The hotel is modern design in the center near grand via. Breakfast is very good, when asked gutter free bred and cake are served. In the room need to ask non smokers is you mind, I had 2 single dads for single that I prefer less Summary - very good place
