The hotel is nice but the best part is the customer service. Specially the staff!! I don't recall the exact name but one of the employees I believe his name is Najib or Nassib (don't remember) went out of his way to accomodate me and my baby. I stayed for a week and he asked how he could help every single day. Congratulations Hotel Claridge for hiring excellent staff.
great location for accessing metro and bus routes for exploring Madrid and beyond large comfortable and quiet room on 15th floor cafes for breakfast are close by good restaurant on site modern building. gym and parking
Decent hotel, with clean rooms and decent shower. Breakfast good and some good small plate food from the bar. If staying as a tourist it is some distance from the centre but close to.a metro stop. Higher up rooms had poor and intermittent WiFi. At least when I was staying, but good WiFi in public areas.
I am so confused by European hotels and beds in general. Every hotel room we have stayed in throughout Europe, we only have twin beds pushed together. Do Europeans not sleep close to those they love? Such a strange thing to me. Oh...and the beds in our room were very, very, very hard. With that being said, this is a great location to the subway system, but the restaurants nearby are few and far between. If you want to be in the heart of Madrid, this hotel is NOT for you. If you like being away from it all, but have quick access, this is a great option.
This hotel was in a great location. Only a 5 min taxi drive to the main train station-6euros. The bus was only 1.50 euro to the main plaza-Plaza de Mayor-10 min. The hotel was nice, clean and had big rooms for a family of 4. The staff were friendly especially Najib who went out of his way to ensure you had a pleasant stay. He showed us the main attractions, where to eat and even called a taxi for us. Thank you Hotel Claridge and thank you to Najib.
Hotel was booked as part of a package with BA. Considering that this hotel is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, I was slightly disappointed that the double twin rooms did not have a kettle to make tea or coffee. it also did not provide slippers or robes (this was only available for Superior rooms and above.) As I only stayed a couple of nights I was not overly fussed, however if i was staying longer, the above would have been a nice to have as standard. Aside from that it was good value for money. Was given a room on the top floor next the the main road and with the window closed you could still hear passing traffic, so if you are a light sleeper, I would advice taking earplugs. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of cupboard storing space. There is a in room safe to store valuable and an extra blanket if required. The room was spacious enough to move around relatively comfortably and the bathroom was nice and clean. The breakfast selection had enough to choose from including fresh fruit, cold meats, a facility to make toast, cereal, croissants, various fruit juices, tea and coffee. It is a good place to stay if you want to explore by bus or Metro. Located literally a minute walk from the metro station and less than that from a bus stop, you can catch a bus that goes right through Madrid
Love it! This is our second visit and recommend a visit. We have previously brought our children who also loved their stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. Mika helped with directions and was so friendly. We will be back again 😎
Stayed for 4 nights at the Madrid Claridge Hotel. Arrived before the official 12 noon check-in but very helpful receptionist sorted our room out early which we were grateful for. The hotel was clean and well presented. Our room was spacious enough for the 3 of us. No coffee/ tea making facilities available in the room was a disappointment. The hotel has a bar, restaurant, gym and breakfast room. Breakfast was a good and varied selection although the hot food was not as warm as I would prefer. The aforementioned receptionist gave us a map and explained where to go and how to get there. This was particularly helpful. Bus and Metro stops are immediately outside so getting about is easy. Number 14 bus takes you to the Prado Museum and the number 32 takes you to the centre at Plaza De Sol. A few bars and restaurants are near the hotel but for a wide choice head to the centre. Overall the hotel was very satisfactory and we enjoyed our stay.
We booked this hotel as part of a package with British Airways, 2 people 3 nights including flights from Gatwick for £420 and it was an absolute bargain! The room was spacious with a large shower room and a big comfortable bed. We were on the top (15th) floor so a decent view and little traffic noise. The staff were extremely helpful, the breakfasts nice and the 1 meal we had in the restaurant was excellent. It is across the road from the metro station and a 10 minute walk to the central park so for us it was a great location.
This hotel was our starting point for our Andalucía tour. They managed to handle the large groups and the buses well. Check in was quick, front desk staff is friendly and attentive to your needs. Although is not very central located, there are buses and subway nearby. There are some interesting places within walking distance such as the south part of El Retiro and Atocha station. Is also conveniently located close to the Royal Basilica of Atocha where the famous Santo Niño is worshiped. They offer a nice breakfast and there are some restaurants in the zone such as the Meson del Segoviano which is one of the best restaurants I tried in Spain. Rooms are a bit small whit outdated furniture, however they are clean and well kept.
