The concierge desk was so wonderful helpful! This was our first trip to Madrid and we experienced so much help and friendliness from the staff at this hotel. I read some reviews prior to booking and was worried it wouldn't live up to it's 5 star rating but this hotel does. It was clean, spacious rooms, wonderful amenities and the BEST location. Right next to all the museums and an easy walk to the Plaza del Sol. I would definitely stay here again.

We spent 4 nights in this lovely hotel on our first trip to Madrid. We particularly wanted to visit the Prado museum, Thyssen Bornemisza gallery, Reina Sophia and Retiro Park. The hotel location was fantastic being so close to the galleries. We loved being able to come back to the hotel quickly after looking at the art. We had a Superior Room with View of the fountain. It was very comfortable and no traffic noise when the windows were closed. The staff were friendly, efficient and very helpful. Excellent breakfast. The airport bus 203 was 5 minutes walk away at Plaza de Cibeles. 5 euro each transfer to the airport. Very convenient. We loved the interior design of the hotel and the beautiful carpets. We would love to stay here again and would recommend this hotel to our friends.

The perfectly located hotel is a great starting point for an introduction to Spain. The staff were all very helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms were great and modern. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Lovely hotel but our room was very small, may possibly be normal for the area because the buildings are old. Staff was welcoming and attentive to our needs the entire stay, especially the young lady who handled guest relations/concierge. I did find during our 6 night stay that on the 5th night the cleaning staff became a little laxed and rehung towels that were left on floor to be cleaned rather than replacing with fresh clean towels. This may possibly happened on the 6th night as well, however I am not as certain as I was for the 5th night. Also, those same evenings I noticed the slippers and mat that were normally left on either side of the bed were dismissed as well. My feeling was the longer we stayed some of the cleaning amenities were loss. Hence the only reason for a less than five star rating. Overall I was extremely pleased with our stay!

The hotel offers many ammenities. All main attraction and monuments are located walking distance. Accessible public and private transportation. The building has a lot of history. Rooms are sound proof.

Stayed for only one night due to travel schedule, but it was perfect. I've lived in Madrid before and know the city. I picked it because of location, but the inside turned out to be a great bonus. For someone who has never visited Madrid before and wants a great base for exploring the city, this is a great hotel.

Paseo del Prado is directly across the ave from the Museum, close to train station, walking distance to best resturants, sights etc. Smart helpful staff with excellent command of English yet put up with my Spanish. VERY Good

Hotel was across from Prado and very accessible to all the art museums. It was a short walk to all areas of the city (El Centro). No problems with noise at night. Hotel was clean with all the amenities. Staff was very helpful.
