it was good overall. the masters bedroom and living room is separated only by a sliding door with japanese paper panels. it does not make the room soundproof at all if other people are watching tv in the living room. they should make the wall permanent or the sliding panels at least thicher and sturdier material to minimize noise that can be heard in the masters bedroom.
Space is huge spotless and lovely. Location very good. Checkin after hours a little clunky, have to go to desk for coffee, not open until 9. ****Alert -there are 2 Eric Vokel hotels. Make sure you get the right one.
Great place, easy automatic check in, well equiped
Overall, we really enjoyed this place. It was a very short walk to/from the train station. The apartment was spacious and had all the needed amenities like a kitchen, washer/dryer, etc. Upon check in, the desk staff greeted us with a smile and went over a city map with us. She even offered to print out tickets or anything else we needed for us. The location was walkable to all the main atttactions, however, they were still a little far. I believe Eric Vokel has more apartments in the city and I may consider staying at one closer to the city center next time. The small street this was located on was very noisy much of the night, mostly with trash trucks from what it sounded like. The bed was also rather hard and uncomfortable, unless you like very firm beds. Overall, it was still a very nice stay in Madrid.
Great location, very professional and friendly staff, nice complimentary products, clean and tidy accommodations, and overall great hotel. The noise of the city is rather loud but this is the case in most large cities and Madrid is a populated area. Overall I would stay here again, no hesitation.
This is a nice apartment hotel, located very conveniently near the main Madrid train station. If you are planning to take the fast train from/to Madrid, this is a great option. The apartment was clean, well appointed and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The hotel is located off the main road, so it's pretty quiet. The door to the hotel requires a keycard or a code to get in, so it feels secure. The apartment was very clean and well maintained, and the kitchen was fully stocked
Just stayed last week . It's a nice location accessible to all train, about 7 minutes walk
I booked the Eric Vokel apartment hotel for a group of 4 at the end of our Spain trip. The location was within walking distance of the Atocha train station which we used to get to Toledo a short 30min trip away. We could walk to the Prado, Botanical Gardens and take a taxi to the other main sites and dining areas with ease. The apartment was on a side street that was quiet and the apartment very clean and new. The front desk folks were pleasant and helpful and there is a grocery store at the end of the block which was great for picking up anything needed. I would highly recommend this hotel and we really enjoyed our stay!
My idea was to present the Vokel Hotels to my Business partner and it was a ver bad experience, the place is good but the location, street and immediate neighborhood does not aport anything to the experience, but my fist Vokel experience was great and I will be back at another location.
Adequate but not much special. Will stay elsewhere next time. Kind of out of the way
We couldn't have selected a better hotel option or aa better location. Everything in the suite was new and clean, the washer/dryer came in very handy, and the staff was very helpful and responsive. This place is trying very hard to do things right. We could walk to all of the major attractions and also to the metro. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone who is not looking for a full service hotel just a very nice apt to stay in.
