This is a small hotel located in a great neighborhood in Madrid. Close enough to touristic sights without being in the middle of it. Walking distance from streets like Serrano or Claudio Coello which are great for some high end shopping. Across from el retiro and a few blocks away from Puerta de Alcalá. The decoration is modern and the room was spacious enough. I did find it a little noisy, like every time somebody was talking on the hall I could hear it. I highly recommend it.
Nice room and bathroom, comfortable bed, the shared areas are well taken care of. Rooftop terrace is amazing with a great view of Madrid! Employees are kind and helpful. One remark is that the exit doors look like emergency doors so we got lost a few times afraid to open the wrong door.
great 4* option. right next to Retiro Park, and walking distance to metro. the decor is modern and clean. small lobby bar. great rooftop pool (small) and bar. no gym. smallish breakfast room with basic variety.
Nice hotel modern and comfy. Excellent location next to park and walking distance to all sights. Pool and rooftop terrace seating area are amazing and well worth a visit or a lounge. Beds are mostly singles tho! They push them together but if you're with a partner it's no fun. Asked for a double but apparently hotel only has 10! Pictures are misleading as only 5 rooms have balconies too. Location and roof make up for beds but if you're looking for a romantic stay get used to being in a tiny bed! Also AC sucks and it was hot most nights. Maid threw away my brand new Venus razor cartridge too which was really annoying as I had to go buy another - still don't know why she would do that! $10 down the drain for no reason! Restaurant was okay for an easy bite and wifi is strong.
Nice are but the hotel is very noisy from the elevatir, rooms above and on the side. We hade a very bad sleep during the 5 nights we stayed. The rooftop bar/terrace we stunning. You can reach buses and metro within 2 min. Not sure that I will stay here again.
The hotel is in a good location, next to Retiro Park. Although there is a nearby train station, you can conveniently stroll 15-20 minutes to the city centre which we did daily without fuss. We were initially provided with a twin room despite requesting a double but this was quickly rectified by staff and we were very happy with the alternative room provided. Upon request staff also provided a kettle and iron and it is clear that staff are hospitable. The only negative point to note is that the rooms do not have air conditioning which in the summer months could be uncomfortable. Breakfast as expected was European continental, there were no issues. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in Madrid, I'd highly recommend La Mi Venta Restaurant for authentic Spanish food (book in advance) and for those wanting to escape from bustle and unwind, Madrid's Hammam Al Andalus is perfect. I would stay in this hotel again and recommend it during spring/autumn/winter months.
Well I have really liked my time at this hotel but I will start with a major criticism - it has been very hot this week in Madrid and our room has never been less than 25C. The air conditioning is not available until May . this seems quite ridiculous to me for a hotel that is aspiring to be the best. It is noisy on the street and whilst the windows completely block out the noise all that then happens is the aircon blows hot air. If that is important to you then I would definitely stay somewhere else. Sleep quality is poor here as a result. Other than that I really liked it here. the breakfast room and breakfast quality is great - the aircon is on in there by the way - strange..... the staff are friendly, it is immaculately clean, and although the lovely roof terrace is open there is a badly written notice telling you that the "swimmig pool" is closed until May. That seems strange too. I am sorry to be so critical - this hotel could be great but it is letting itself down. I loved the location , there are lots of eating places in the Salamanca district and the closeness of the Retiro park and the metro were great. Come on H10 hotels you can do better than this.
Beautifully renovated hotel in the middle od Salamanca and neighboring the amazing Retiro Park. The rooms are spacious, rooftop terrace is great for an afternoon lounging. Service at the lobby could improve; was slow and the cakes were not up-to-par, for a 4-star hotel. Restaurant could improve cheese and vegetable selection at breakfast. Pool was closed until May, regardless of 28 degree weather during our 4 days there. Nice place, needs some tweaking.
Located in a quiet area but with a 15 minute walk in the beautiful "Parco del Buen retiro"you arrive at the Museum of the Prado. The Terrace has a stunning view. The staff is friendly and polite. The room was very clean, bed comfortable and the breakfast perfect.
Just got back after a 4 night break at this very stylish, clean, modern hotel! Service and friendliness of the staff is very good and the rooftop terrace bar is great! Only downside was that the temp was 25'c + and we had no air con as was told it was unavailable until May and same with the pool! Whereas online and on hotel details it says April so this was a shame! Other than that, had a very good stay in a lovely city and the park next door to the hotel was one of the nicest parks i think I've ever been too.
