It's actually okay for the price, but a couple annoying things were but I could not run the fan on the air conditioner at the same time as the heater. The heater was a baseboard heat which took a good bit of time to beat the room, but the main problem was lack of explanation that those had to work separately. Breakfast was decent or econo Lodge, coffee was terrible. They should just change their brand.

The room was shabby. Damaged walls, missing light fixtures, bumpy parking lot. Piles of old furniture and toilets in the parking lot. No elevator. Minimal breakfast.

The staff were nice and helpful. The breakfast was better than expected for the hotel rating. The building could be fixed up, new carpet, more carpet by the main entry, side entry key access fixed, heater/AC in room only sometimes worked, paint peeling, some stains on walls, really old rugs near entry and front desk. Fixing these minor updates could really make this hotel excellent for the price. Also, the whole building lost power during an ice storm and there was no backup generator.

Fantastic value- will visit again! Check-in was swift, breakfast was good and parking was easy.

Good for price, welcoming for my dog. Needs updating but what can you expect for a budget hotel

I came in for a concert and stayed a night at the Econo Lodge. This is a great hotel to stay in for overnight, out of town visits. The breakfast offerings were great! I would stay here again!

Inexpensive, so I guess you get what you pay for. The bed was OK but the room was very foul-smelling.

Clean rooms. Close to shopping. Friendly staff.

I have stayed at the Econo Lodge several times, usually for home football games. The front desk staff is always friendly and it's a quick process to check-in. This most recent trip it seems that they have started to make a few updates. The flooring in the entrance of the room and bathroom looks new. The bathroom looks completely new with large clean tiles. We were told the beds and TVs are new as well and it was a very comfortable bed to sleep in! My only complaint was regulating the temperature but it's late fall in Wisconsin so temperature is always changing. I think this is the best hotel for the price in Madison.

The staffs are nice. But the room is a bit outdated and bed could use of upgrade. There was bar soup , shampoo but what happened to conditioner?

If you like sleeping on terrible beds stay here. If you want somebody elses pubes on the toilet when you get here, stay here. If you want to wake up to hookers leaving the building at 3:45 stay here. If you want to stay in a room that smells like a gallon of industrial cleanser was used each day, stay here. All in all not bad place!

We stayed one night here and definitely wouldn't do it again. The room was clean but everything in the room besides the tv seemed extremely outdated and old. The bed was so uncomfortable and the guests in the room next to us were so loud until 5:30 in the morning and left the hallway reeking of weed. Not exactly somewhere I want my family to stay. The staff was super friendly upon check in!

For the price this was fine. It was clean and pretty much what you would expect for the cost. Wouldn't stay at a hotel like this for more than 1 night but for 1 night it was fine.

Although this was an older facility it was clean. The staff was attentive and helpful. The breakfast was ample. Best of all the air conditioner worked very well.

Spent very little time and the hotel. Came back very late, and there were several suspicious characters lurking the premises. Started to wonder if they were pimps, and the hotel rooms were being rented by the hour. Missed breakfast by a couple minutes and they were putting everything away and refused to give me cream cheese for a bagel that a grabbed. But overall not, a bad place for the price. Clean rooms. Wasn't expecting much else. Clean lobby, easy parking.

I just needed an easy, affordable, quiet place to stay for a few days while on business. EconoLodge worked out great. They had free WiFi, plus a simple little breakfast buffet was included with the room. Nothing fancy, but it was everything I needed for a pleasant stay.

We needed a place to stop for one night on our road trip. Clean room. Friendly staff. and mediocre breakfast.
