Econo Lodge Madison

Recent guest reviews

I have stayed at the Econo Lodge several times, usually for home football games. The front desk staff is always friendly and it's a quick process to check-in. This most recent trip it seems that they have started to make a few updates. The flooring in the entrance of the room and bathroom looks new. The bathroom looks completely new with large clean tiles. We were told the beds and TVs are new as well and it was a very comfortable bed to sleep in! My only complaint was regulating the temperature but it's late fall in Wisconsin so temperature is always changing. I think this is the best hotel for the price in Madison.

The staffs are nice. But the room is a bit outdated and bed could use of upgrade. There was bar soup , shampoo but what happened to conditioner?

If you like sleeping on terrible beds stay here. If you want somebody elses pubes on the toilet when you get here, stay here. If you want to wake up to hookers leaving the building at 3:45 stay here. If you want to stay in a room that smells like a gallon of industrial cleanser was used each day, stay here. All in all not bad place!

We stayed one night here and definitely wouldn't do it again. The room was clean but everything in the room besides the tv seemed extremely outdated and old. The bed was so uncomfortable and the guests in the room next to us were so loud until 5:30 in the morning and left the hallway reeking of weed. Not exactly somewhere I want my family to stay. The staff was super friendly upon check in!

For the price this was fine. It was clean and pretty much what you would expect for the cost. Wouldn't stay at a hotel like this for more than 1 night but for 1 night it was fine.

Although this was an older facility it was clean. The staff was attentive and helpful. The breakfast was ample. Best of all the air conditioner worked very well.

Spent very little time and the hotel. Came back very late, and there were several suspicious characters lurking the premises. Started to wonder if they were pimps, and the hotel rooms were being rented by the hour. Missed breakfast by a couple minutes and they were putting everything away and refused to give me cream cheese for a bagel that a grabbed. But overall not, a bad place for the price. Clean rooms. Wasn't expecting much else. Clean lobby, easy parking.

I just needed an easy, affordable, quiet place to stay for a few days while on business. EconoLodge worked out great. They had free WiFi, plus a simple little breakfast buffet was included with the room. Nothing fancy, but it was everything I needed for a pleasant stay.

We needed a place to stop for one night on our road trip. Clean room. Friendly staff. and mediocre breakfast.

The staff was a bit unwelcoming upon arrival but it was a rainy day so I didn't let it get to me. They offer a breakfast for the morning however it is poorly stocked by the front desk attendant and compromises of donuts, cereals, and microwaved egg omelette-type thing. The room was standard but the bathroom light was more of a heat lamp than a light bulb. All in all it was pretty standard for the EconoLodge but the staff was probably the worst part.

I thought the service was great. I was very happy and grateful for how clean the room and facility was. The continental breakfast was great as well.

Clean and economical, in a great location. The hotel is very basic without many extra comforts.

We just needed a night to spend in the middle of a long car trip. Room was a bit warm, but ok since it was sub zero outside.

It's been a long time since my wife and I slept in a double bed. Kinda cozy! This is a no frills motel, and obviously a bit older, but it was clean and the price was right. We'd stay again.

Clean room, friendly staff, and convenient to the airport make this a good place to just relax after a long day.

Made resvn via Orbitz on cell app -- no opportunity for AAA or senior discount. Many signs about non-smoking, but several burns on toilet seat from cigarettes. Shower ran hot and cold -- all on one setting. Soap is hard to wash off with their treated water. Carpets are dirty. VERY frugal supply of towels. Room smelled like they use diesel fuel for cleaning or killing bugs or whatever. Lots of older single men "hanging around". Extensive video surveillance -- suggesting ?!?!?!? I sure won't stay there again.

everything was good until our neighbors come home drunk at 1 a.m. -- the walls are thin and we heard too much!

The bed was really lumpy and the floor was damp

It was a good location close to the clinic we were going to, plus it was a was a good value for the qualitiy of the room. It was a quiet room. The breakfast was great--an adaquate selection of food and a clean table and countertops.

Comfy, quiet, and clean, the Econolodge on Rt. 151 in Madison is right off the interstate and across the road from East Town Mall, which offers a variety of dining and shopping venues. I was looking for an inexpensive place to overnight, and was surprised and pleased with the accommodations there.
