I’m kind of shocked this hotel has a “excellent“ rating, 8.8. I’d give it 6 at best. It is under construction, being remodeled. We were put in a remodeled room that clearly was not finished. It had blue tape all over the flooring, furniture and decor mismatched, overall unappealing and the light switches were gummy. Bathroom actually kind of gross. Old tub, dirty, grout, paint bubbling, and peeling near the shower. We were also told to use a side entrance that led to a hallway that was closed for construction. There was plastic sheeting hung in the hallway with a hole in it we had to pass through with our suitcases. Country Inns used to be so nice, I was not expecting this!

The construction (renovation) is still ongoing on all floors, and they should not open the rooms to the public until they are renovated to a level where people can stay there. The first room they gave us was very smelly, the carpet had nasty stains like dog poops and was intolerable, and we couldn't enter it. We requested a room change and were given another room, but the same issue persisted. We got out immediately and changed hotels altogether. We lost more than a couple of hours during this period, which resulted in hectic and inconvenient changes to our travel plan.
