I had a business meeting in LA and I am so glad that my boss booked this hotel. The staff was absolutely top notch and the property was so beautiful. Everyone had a smile on their face and genuinely cared for the guests by showing amazing customer service. I really hope our company books our convention there again next year because I’m already excited about going back!!
Club Lounge Access allowed me to experience The Ritz the way I imagined it to be. Room service was excellent as I requested items on numerous occasions & each service provided was greater than the prior. The rooms are clean, comfortable and bathrooms were very pretty.
This Ritz Carlton serves the brand well in terms of luxury amenities, calm and quiet public areas and prompt and personal service but it lacks anything special that would distinguish it from any other well managed Ritz. The hotel sits above LA Live and just a block away from the Staples Center. Prices are cosnistently high at this location and only if you have time to luxuriate or play will it be worth the extra few hundred dollars over the adjacent J W Marriott (which has equally compelling views the higher floors). The check in area is very small but with the an exclusive feel and very fast lifts get you to the highly placed rooms that provide great and quiet views. Rooms are well updated, clean with great Ritz linens and towels (room size is about average for LA). I have had many good nights of sleep here. The bathroom is large with plenty of room to spread out. The outdoor pool area (which requires cooperating weather) has a hip, modern feel to it. Servixe, including room service, is prompt, personal and professional. If you have business in Downtown, Pasadena or East LA, the location of this hotel is very convenient. Look elsewhere if you have business or plan to tour extensively in Beverly Hills or the West Side / Beach Communities. Finally, the Ritz charges about the same as almost all other hotels in Downtiwn LA for a valet parking — $48 / day. So figure this additional parking charge into your nightly rate if you have a rental (the valet parking service here is very prompt and efficient).
Pros: Awesome staff, free upgrade based on loyalty, clean hotel, low noise volume due to large room space, in suite radio, nice view of downtown LA, short distance to staples center, and great food! Cons: you can easily get lost in the hotel due to the connection of the Ritz residence, and food is overpriced for small quantity (go to the restaurant located inside the hotel).
Stayed for one night and got plenty of bang for the (admittedly expensive) buck. Spent a little extra to get club lounge access since we had originally not booked a club level room and it was very worth it. We were booked for a red-eye home to NYC and we not only got very nice 4pm late checkout, but were told we were welcome to hang out in the club lounge even after checkout time. Breakfast and snack and drinks in the club lounge were great, definitely added value to what would have been very expensive drinks and breakfast in the restaurant, the lounge was comfortable and had super nice service. Pool was wonderful, heated and very uncrowded. Room was spacious and had a nice big bathroom. Every staff member was unfailingly helpful and gracious. Would definitely stay again.
RC never disappoints. Lovely stay here on multiple visits. Restaurant has a great location but needs a service training boost. Nice for cocktails and brunch. Ask for marina view if staying makes a big difference, the pool is wonderful although sun is fleeting due to positioning by late afternoon depending on time of year.
I utilize Ritz-Carlton as one of my preferred luxury property chains. As a guest I know I will always get world-class service as well classic styled property. The Ritz-Carlton Los Angles does provide the aforementioned experiences with a Los Angles twist. I would highly recommend a corner suite. The space is wonderful, a Great room with a full dining room table that seats 6, living room, one half bath and full bath, large bedroom with plenty of closet space. The property is located in the heart of downtown right next to LA Live entertainment complex which includes: Staple Center, ESPN Studios and so much more. You really feel at home here making checking out a challenge. I have to note the wonderful attention and service provided by Guest Service Representative Sarina Ocampo. She was attentive and high professional even when measure against the Ritz-Carlton standards.
Chose to stay here since we were attending a concert at Microsoft Theater and it really doesn't get any better than this in terms of proximity to the theater, service, accommodations and more. We purchased VIP Experience tickets for Old Dominion so after exiting The Ritz, we literally were only steps away from the VIP entrance to the theater! We couldn't have been any closer! The Ritz Carlton was pure sophisticated, understated elegance from arrival to departure and every step along the way. Chantal and Peter at reception deserve kudos for their warm and genuine service as well as each associate in the Club Lounge. We ordered a midnight snack from room service after the concert and our food arrived quicker than the time quoted which was much appreciated and was very tasty. We loved our room with all of the thoughtful touches throughout such as great reading lights, quality amenities and the most comfortable bed. We will definitely stay here again next time we are attending Staples Center or Microsoft Theater!
During my stay my room as $949 a night for club lounge access regular room. I enjoyed the room which was very large and friendly staff. The club lounge was great with amazing views but It did not really live up to the hype. The pool being on the roof was cool. Best location for Lakers games!
I checked into the Ritz Carlton hotel in LA after a 3 day stay at the JW Marriott (next door) for business. I decided to change hotels due to dusting issues at the JW, thinking I would get a cleaner room at the Ritz Carlton to help with my allergies. Well not only did I not get a cleaner room (dust everywhere), but the guest experience specialist Steve or Steven (front desk) went out of his way to make me aware he knew about the problems I had at the JW as well. I couldn’t see how the issues at JW was helping me resolve my billing issues and how that issue related to my current experience, since the hotels are different. Secondly, he could have focused on helping me solve my billing problems without adding undue stress. I eventually asked for Steve’s manager, who apologized for his actions and promised a better stay next time. I would like to give this property another chance, however, management would have to get a better handle customer service before I stay again.
