Spent my 25th anniversary here this weekend. I have brought my wife all over the world and cannot say I have stayed in a better hotel or had a better experience! Everyone is beyond nice. The location is also perfect being right on LA Live - plenty of things to keep you busy. The concierge floor (23rd) was great for breakfast and deserts - the snacks and lunch are small - however very much worth everything else. The turn down and cleaning service was fantastic daily and the staff could not be more friendlier. "IF" I ever come back to this area - I would want to stay here again!

This is a late review. Stayed there a couple nights just after Christmas and before New Years. Very much a city hotel with a small but stylish lobby. The check-in staff were extremely professional. Upgraded to Club level. The club lounge is nicely appointed and extremely comfortable. The all-day food and cocktails was perfect for a quick snack or drink. The rooms were a bit small, and could use renovations.

I was staying the hotel during a business trip. The service is impeccable, worthy of the 5 star rating. I had daily housekeeping do a wonderful job, they even changed my loofahs daily (that is the first time I have seen this). The room was very spacious and had one of the fancy TV in the bathroom mirror. The turndown service included chocolates which I could not resist. Overall I had a great experience and would definitely chose to stay there again when I visit LA.

As a regular Ritz-Carltoner who stays at one whenever and wherever I can, I think it is safe to say that this particular Ritz-Carlton fails to meet my expectations. The hotel is rather small, as it is stuck together with the neighboring JW Marriott. The crowded driveway and the compact lobby really takes away from the traditional Ritz-Carlton experience, at last from my perspective. However, everything else about this place is clearly top-of-the-class, expect for breakfast, which one must walk over to the JW Marriott to get, thereby taking away from the exclusivity that I value at Ritz-Carlton properties. In a city bustling with lots of excellent hotels, my loyalty to Ritz-Carlton just might be tested when I visit once more.

The hotel has understood. The rooms are so clean that I could eat from the floor. The staff was like a family to me. The view over Los Angeles was awesome and awesome. In addition, you can sleep here so well that is just sick.

The Ritz Carlton at LA Live is very plush and elegant. The lobby is simple but the rooms are superb. The Club Lounge is one of the best, throughly enjoyed the experience. The Executive Suites are about 1200 sq ft and great for entertaining. Great location events at the Staples Center.

I visit Los Angeles a few times each year but this was my first time at The Ritz-Carlton DTLA and I loved it. The location is perfect and the staff is just wonderful all around. The front desk, housekeeping, car services, everyone was very hospitable and friendly. I will definitely stay here again.

We took a spontaneous weekend trip to see a concert, and didn't book a hotel. The Ritz was the only hotel in the area available, and we absolutely loved it. The rooftop pool was clean, the views were incredible. It was in walking distance to the staples center, which was extremely convenient. The room was extremely up to date, clean, and we really enjoyed our stay here. This hotel is located directly behind LA live. The staff was very accommodating and they really made our stay easy and they were so so friendly! The rooms are large. The shower was HUGE, and there was a built in TV thing in the mirror- so so cool. A little pricey, but definitely worth it. We would definitely stay here again.

We arrived late for our Marriott reservation and were "upgraded" to the adjoining location. I'm assuming the Marriott was overbooked. We spoke with others staying art the Marriott, and the rooms are very similar, exceptionally high quality. Immaculate with lots of space, king bed, beautiful bathroom & shower with a television screen embedded in the bathroom mirror (don't see that everyday). Big screen TV in room with ample work space, although electrical outlets were a bit sparse. I always carry a multi-plug with me so I had no problem. Our room was 2244 which had a very nice view over the Staples Center and West LA. Its location adjacent to the Staples Center offers a lot of variety for eating and shopping. The plaza between the hotel and the Staples Center is a walk that shouldn't be missed by travelers wanting to stretch their legs. The same can be said for a walk in the other direction along Figueroa Street. Blocks and blocks of beautiful architecture and shops. HINT: On the 23rd floor, the Ritz has a beautiful concierge lounge with a wonderful view of LA that offers breakfast and food throughout the day. It normally is a $150 add-on, but a $20 tip to the desk clerk might get you the same amenity - and it is well worth it. It worked for us;-}

After fighting traffic for 2.5 hours it was a pleasure to pull into this oasis of elegance and service, have my car whisked away and be personally escorted to staff who checked me in (including a letter from the manager and something I haven't seen in decades and was thrilled to see again: an "In Residence" calling card for the hotel) and got me to my "high floor" room in less than 5 minutes. The room's austere, elegantly modern decor and colors were very relaxing and you can't beat the view: west toward the ocean with the famous "Hollywood" sign clearly seen in the distance (though I tried to avoid looking down at the grid-locked 110 from which I had just exited) and a beautiful sunset. The bathroom is well appointed and larger than most entire hotel rooms (though I'm not sure what I think of a television appearing magically in the bathroom mirror between the two sinks). Room service was extraordinary, though it is not clear if the food comes from Mr. Puck's on-site restaurant. Here for business so not much time to look around, but the location can't be beat (in the middle of or walkable to most of the things that are important in downtown LA) and we'll certainly be back for a more recreational stay.
