My family and I had a wonderful and fabulous experience our entire stay. From the moment we pulled up to valet until we checked out, the entire staff was warm and inviting. The Ritz is everything we hoped it would be....and more!
The Ritz Carlton concierge level was set up to enable me to use it for client / business meetings. It was convenient, well staffed and offered amenities that assisted my meetings - copying, emails, food and beverage at all times.
First of all, the greeting staff were phenomenal. I am sorry I do not recall the name of the sweet young lady who checked us in. The man who helped with our luggage, same. The room is stunning. The location is great, but traffic is so terrible that it is an inefficient location if you are driving to and from other places. Valet a bit disorganized. (They went to fetch my car and it was parked right in front so I had to wait for the man to com back with my keys for many minutes...) Main problem: poor sleep quality bc of stuffy room. I even asked engineering to fix AC but that did nothing. Also, the shower tub area is super weird. It is not a shower tub combo, yet both cannot be used simultaneously as they are behind the same sort of shower door. Hard to explain. Also, water pressure too weak. They gave us a nice ammenity of chocolates and pinot noir, but the pinot noir was effervescent (it's not supposed to be), as if it were old (not in a good way). But the chocolates were excellent. Check out staff were ok but not over the top helpful.
The club room, the guest room bathrooms, and the gym were stunning (although the mechanical design of the guest room bathrooms needs some work). Seriously, the beds are awful. They were probably really old or previously used at a different hotel because there are feather mattresses on top of the actual mattress. I felt and heard every spring with every movement and didn't have a good night's sleep the whole time I was there.
Wonderful experience! The entire staff was awesome, exceeded expectations! Hotel is beautiful! There were healthy & delicious food choices! Easy access to J W Marriott Hotel Restaurant. We would definitely stay here again!
From the large, marble bath, to the posh bedding to the clean hot tub/spa, every detail makes this the hotel where you should stay. Attentive service, comfort will make you feel at home. The Marriott next door provides morning coffee options and additional larger services.
I really enjoyed my stay at Los Angeles Ritz-Carlton. I was made welcome from the moment I arrived until I left. The amenities are terrific from spa, pool, work out facilities & Bath Butler. It was amazing service that made for a terrific stay. Thank you all!
Fantastic views of the Hollywood sign from the fitness room. Swimming pool was on the 26th floor therefore great views. Rooms very nicely decorated. All staff very friendly and efficient. My colleague left her passport at the Hotel, and because of a misunderstanding it was sent to our next Hotel in Pasadena. On departure we returned to the Ritz-Carlton, only to discover that the passport had been sent to Pasadena. The Manager immediately volunteered to drive to Pasadena to collect the passport from the Hilton Pasadena. After 40 mins, we had the missing passport and could continue. Breakfast was very good.
We love this property so much we keep coming back! We highly recommend you upgrade to the Club Lounge as the complimentary meals and beverages are wonderful! The fitness center is large and you will often see professional athletes and celebrities using it!
I'm a Ritz Gold member and had a reservation at the JW Marriott (attached to the Ritz). The hotel upgraded me before I arrived. I was traveling for a quick 2 night stay from Boston to LA with my young daughter. The room was perfect - very comfortable beds, updated decor, bathrooms, etc. We were on the club level and thoroughly enjoyed the club lounge for snacks (no shortage of treats) and breakfast. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. The route to the Ritz gym is a little confusing but not a big deal at all. I unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the spa but it looked fantastic. Best part? I had rented a car via Hertz at LAX (pain in the a..) and later learned that the JW Marriott had a satellite Hertz office. My plan was to return the car at the hotel and Uber to the airport. The night before we were leaving, the Ritz valet told me to leave the car with them and they would return it for me. It made all of the difference - no hassle, true Ritz service. I will definitely return.
