First two nights great last night. Hotel was rented for an event on Sunday. Whole thing was shut down no bar or restaurant. No elevators available. 45 mins to get up to my 2nd floor room. Complained to desk and was offered a drink. At the bar that was closed. Would not stay again. Compensation 0 for horrible experience. On checkout told they would lfollowup. Ddi not happen.

This W is in a fantastic location right in the heart of London, and the room was comfortable. That’s about where the good ends. They had a private party close down the bar one afternoon until around 8:30-9:00. It was difficult for a guest to get a drink and the staff seemed a bit out out we asked. The party that had the bar were to put it nicely, trashed and then proceeded to trash the lobby downstairs with glasses, bottles and cigarette butts. The staff did nothing to clean up after them and it was a nightmare. Fast forward to the power outage. I understand they can’t control that, and they did open the bar for free drinks. Being rousted out of slumber at 12:30 am to change hotels was not in our plan. We were assigned sister property hotels and ended up at the Sheraton, which was not at all up to my expectations. No other offerings or amenities were given. Just a letter of apology under the door.

Location of this hotel is great, but it was too loud for the comfortable rest and peaceful sleep. Open vanity and multi functional table in the center of the guest room is a clever idea, but too dark and vanity mirror was missing. Not too efficient.

This hotel was upscale, but the design of the room was unusual and not guest friendly. The toilet and shower were in separate "closets" and the sink was located in a large island in the entrance to the room. Getting ready was awkward, to say the least. Very modern, which is fine, but not practical and not satisfactory for a four/five star hotel. Lights in the toilet and bath rooms were triggered by motion, but quickly went off and could not be re-triggered by waving one's arms. The shower closet leaked into the main room with every use.

Overall it's fun, well located & humorously designed - but this gets tired after encountering design problems in rooms & public spaces - the lounge chaise's just don't work in rooms & aren't comfortable - you can't watch tv mounted above them as there's no place to reposition it as the rooms are so small - book a suite if you want a practically sized space. Most rooms have showers & sinks in middle of room so the floor gets all wet - part of W's "open studio plan"- ugh- again if you want a real, separate bathroom you'll need to go up to the cool corner rooms or suites. Minibars are surprisingly dull - W should look at Kimpton properties to see them done right. Really chips & peanuts?? This is London! Good bar, room service & staff helps.

the location is excellent, but the bed is not that comfy

Great location. Love the staff. Great W Lounge and Wyld Club. Great drinks. Amazing Gym.

Excellent location, the staff is quite friendly, lots of hotel security, always checking your ID to the point of exhaustion. The rooms are clean and very spacious, the bathrooms are sort of in the open so there is very little privacy to do your business. The W Hotel has a very happening Bar at night, be thankful that you are a guest because getting in might be a problem. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel, which is in the heart of London.

As of May 2011 Leicester Square was completely torn up... not the W's fault, but a bummer none the less. Still, the hotel rooms were absolutely quiet; even with one of the most happening night clubs in the area on the first floor. Guests show their keys in the evenings and jet past the line that forms on the sidewalk to get in. The room itself was modern and comfortable, but the best thing was the hotel locale. It's a winner and I'll stay there again.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and I am very sorry to hear your expectations were not met during your stay here at W London. While we did every effort to prevent your stay of being affected by the power outage that affected the area where we are located here in London, I am really sorry that all our efforts of offering complimentary drinks and a reallocation to a sister property with complimentary transfer felt short for you. Rest assured we will take your note into consideration should any situation like this one arises in the future, as it is thank you to feedback like yours that we can improve our guests' experience. I hope we will have a chance of welcoming you back and provide you the stay that you really deserve. In the meantime, we send you best wishes and thank you for staying with W London. Hello joan, Thank you for your feedback and sorry to hear you didn't fully enjoy our unique studio-concept design in our rooms. For a future stay here at W London, I would definitely recommend to look into one of our Cool Corner rooms, as this room has a separate bathroom space and possibly a more efficient layout according to your needs. Thank you for staying with us. Kind regards,

Hello Patti, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I appreciate your feedback regarding the design of your room. W is a design lead brand and we can certainly appreciate that the layout of the room is not to everyone’s taste. I could recommend one of our Cool Corner rooms for a future stay with us. This is a larger room with a different configuration and a separate bathroom and working area, which may be more comfortable for your needs. Thank you for staying with us. Kind regards,
