The whole place is shabby. Stained sheets on bed, Only single pillow per bed. Bar and restaurant closed for "Private Function" with no notification. Spend a few extra pound for somewhere better you wont regret it
Very clean and nice rooms in beautiful earya special kind ladys stuff working in reception are so lovely I just feel that was my house not hotel although prices was not expensive but everything was really great 🌹
Basically only able to use room ,no other facilities for most of the stay. No chairs, table etc in room. Coffee making equipment on top of chest of drawers about 5 foot high and no other sockets. Private function in bar reason we could not use it and no attempt to explain or apologise by staff.
I was not happy with the rooms but the staff was very friendly and helpful but the condition in the room was not good at all and I will not recommend any one to stay in there or book for a room in that hotel
Good location. Ten min walk to tube station. When we arrived to check in nobody was at the desk so we had to go away for a pint and come back which is the only complaint as we travelled down from Scotland and wanted to shove our bags away and freshen up before heading out again. The rooms were fine and clean. Shower was fine. Nothing to complain about if you want a cheap stay to visit London! You get what you pay for.
We came to the Windmill for one night to see the sights in London. Car Parking was amazing, and they let us park there from 10am Saturday right though to 5pm Sunday. The room was okay, there was a slight smell of the drains, but it was okay, with the window open. We did think it was a shame the pub was shut for a function on the Saturday night, as we would have like to have gone in there, and had to settle for Wetherspoons opposite. Kilburn Tube station near which gets you into central London. However on booking.com it is named as being in Camden, which was one of the reasons we booked, so it not being near, was a little annoying. However there were a few bars and restaurants along the main road.
The all important factor for me is cleanliness and a comfortable bed. Both ticked the right box. It's a little noisy as the hotel is on a main street. The bar area downstairs is a delight and you can sit outside and have a nice cold glass of wine. The staff were welcoming and professional.
Stayed in a triple room with my husband and daughter. We found all the staff very welcoming and managed to park the car behind the hotel in their carpark. The building is very quaint and has lovely stairway and original features.Lovely bar with great cocktails. Rooms were basic but very clean and had everything you need. The bathroom was new and very nicely decorated. Nice touch of breakfast box. There is a Wetherspoon's opposite which is really well priced for drinks and food. We used uber to get to Wembley which was very reasonable. Returned on overground and walked the 5-10 minutes back from station. Back in hotel from Wembley in under 20 minutes. Will be returning and using the hotel as a base when in London again. Really enjoyed our stay.Thank you Windmill Hotel.
Booked this hotel for its location to Wembley and its low cost. The tube is a 10min walk away or jump on a bus outside the hotel. The double room we had was fairly small and basic, but fine for it's purpose. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was comfy. The staff at the hotel were very nice and friendly. Breakfast was left in the room in a small box each, containing a banana, cereal bar, muffin cake and a tub of fruit juice.
This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed in. I was here from a Friday to Monday and sharing a room with two friends. They arrived early on Friday evening while I arrived at 1am Friday night and were told once I arrived to let them know who I was and I'd be let into the room. When I got there I had to ring the receptionist to let me in. This guy was one of the most rudest people I have ever met. When he arrived I was told i couldn't get into the room because there was only one key (which my friends had and were out). Then I was told that for only this room there was no master key. I was then just left there to sleep on the reception floor. A short time later the same ignoramus came back to tell me that i couldn't stay in the reception for security reasons, and was effectively kicking me out on the street. We proceeded to have a shouting match and I insisted that I was not going anywhere. He then rang his manager to come to the hotel. In fairness to this guy he was a little more helpful but ultimately a key couldn't be got and they were kind enough to let me sleep on the tiled floor of the reception. Eventually at around 6am some other guy arrived and low and behold he found a key to let me in and couldn't believe that "those stupid idiots" didn't let me in. After that all I can say is that the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, the windows weren't in any way sound proof letting in all the noise from a busy street, the bar was never opened and in general the staff were very unfriendly, unhelpful and made you feel like a complete inconvenience. The only good thing about this place was that there was a Wetherspoons directly opposite. Don't bother staying here, there is a Travelodge just up the road, go there instead.
