The Bridge Hotel London3.0 out of 5.0

The Bridge Hotel is old and although under going refurbishment we didn’t see any evidence of this. The photos are deceiving. On the plus side it’s handy for the tube. The room was clean and had a decent shower. The staff were polite. It is definitely a basic budget hotel...we got a 2 night stay on a Groupon voucher, but I have stayed in far better hotels for similar prices. The room was very small. The heating was on full blast and difficult to adjust so was uncomfortably hot during the night.
Stayed here before and it was still a good hotel. Our rooms were spacious with TV kettle and Air con. Bathroom had shower over bath with lovely fluffy large bath towels - short on toiletries only supplied one small bottle between 2 people. Breakfast was the best we have ever had - full English and piping hot.Staff are excellent very polite, the onsite pub is a bonus. Greenford station is around 10min stroll away which has links to london around a 20min journey.
Stayed here for a night for a business trip in London. This hotel was cheaply priced and close to the office location, which was the only bonus. The bed was uncomfortable, the WiFi unusable and the free water bottle in my room was already open. The room was basic but clean which was good to see, but I am not in a hurry to return here.
I stayed at the Bridge Hotel for 2 nights while attending a conference at the South Bank University. It was the ideal location for the University, right across the road and very close to a decent pub and a Tesco. It was very thoughtful that there was a fridge in the room and that they left free water and fruit. The room was also very clean, even though some of the fixtures were a bit dated. The room was supposed to be a double room but it was pretty small, if there had been someone else with me it would have been a bit of a squeeze. Ensuite bathroom small but had everything you could need. Overall, its a great place if you just want somewhere to sleep for not too bad a price in a private room while you see the sights in London. If you're after luxury this isn't for you.
The room had everything I needed really comfortable and a great price. The staff were really helpful efficient and friendly . There is a fridge which was great for my little bottle of proseevo and the bed was really comfortable
We recently spent a couple of nights at this hotel. The facilities are basic but adequate with a comfortable bed a functional bathroom with shower. The hotel is currently undergoing some renovations but this did not impact on our stay. The staff are helpful and friendly and were able to offer advice for where to get breakfast, we ate at Dineros on two mornings. The location of the Hotel is excellent for getting around many of the famous attractions. Some lovely public houses are in the area offering great food and drinks. Just a few additions to the rooms would make a difference. We were short of places to hang things and hooks on the bedroom and bathroom doors would certainly help. Remember this is a budget hotel don’t expect too much and you won’t be disappointed.
I just want to say, I’m not trying to knock this place. I understand that the people here are very friendly and hard working - BUT - I need to write this. A friend was in charge of booking our accommodations for our short trip in London and booked this hotel. We all saw the pictures of the facility but didn’t bother to read the reviews (but boy, I wish I had!) The pictures are deceiving. They look bright and airy when in fact this place is nothing but. It’s dark and dingy and smells pretty bad. It is not well-kempt. The bathrooms are shared (or atleast they were in our case) which we did not know when this place was booked. To be honest, this is what motivated this review. The bathrooms were AWFUL! The one closest to us was just a toilet with no shower and it always smelled like a urinal (it has wood floors so I imagine this is why). The bathroom with the shower was awful as well. The shower head was gross, there were towels in the corner of the bathroom and a feminine pad on the floor beside the garbage. I didn’t feel cleaner after the shower either. The carpets throughout need replacing (although it appears they have begun this) IF YOU HAVE ASTHMA OR ALLERGIES STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Over all I felt like this is not a hotel but a poorly maintained and way overpriced hostel. Which frankly, gives a bad name to hostels as most of the ones I have stayed at have been 100 times cleaner and more put together than here. Here’s my recommendations to the owners: PUT MORE MONEY INTO THIS PLACE YOU CHARGE ENOUGH! - fix your bathrooms (there’s nothing worse than trying to get clean in a dirty place) - hire someone who knows how to decorate and get the most out of small spaces (for example: instead of the 4 man room being crammed with 4 beds, get a bunk bed to make more room) - replace or get rid of the carpeting. Overall it just feels like whoever owns this place doesn’t much care or hasn’t cared to invest not just money but careful and thoughtful planning for the spaces. Or just doesn’t care for its customers enough. As for what motivates the positive reviews - I have no idea! Other than not having acceptable standards of living or just not knowing you can get waaaay better for less. Do yourself a favor and stay/consider a hostel before this place until they’ve improved.
Quiet hotel, Neat rooms and clean bathroom. My room was warm cause the heater works. Awesome and helpful staff never tired of answering questions and providing information. Exceeded my expectation. Thank you
This is my first time at the bridge hotel and I haven't regretted at all. The reception was excellent. I felt at home the moment I entered the hotel. The staff are very friendly and eager to offer assistance. Good location. Easy access to Elephant & Castle, Borough and the Southwark tube stations. The hotel is clean and all the facilities in the rooms function properly. I'll like to come again and again.
The hubster and I spent the night at this hotel 21/11/17 whilst we went to the theatre. The good points it was a 20 minute walk from the theatre, checking in was quick and easy, 2 apples, 2 oranges , 2 bottles of water a fridge a tv free WiFi in room, now the not so positives the room was very small and hot we booked a double room but the bed was shoved against the wall it was the only way to ft it in the small room. What I appreciated less was someone on the landing had requested a early 6 am wake up call I know this because of the incessant banging on the door and someone shouting out the guests name and this is your early morning wake up call and this went on for a while so that was me up and awake. Would we stay again ? It would have to be a no little irritants like a dirty rug by the bed the Unrequested wake up call on a busy noisy road, couldn’t walk around the bed no bedside table.
