Poor hotel, very small room, poor facilities in room. Think the hotel is used as student residence, so unfortunately vey moist until the early hours of the morning. Also woke up covered in numerous insect bites. Avoid at all cost.
I booked a handicapped room for my Mom - the handicapped room did not meet my expectations. Recommend anyone needing handicapped check the room out before paying for it. There was no way to control the temperature in the room. The hotel does not have a restaurant. I was surprised - and hungry - when I discovered that the local shops are closed on Sunday, The room cleaning left a TON to be desired. I returned to the room during the day, to discover the mugs in the room were hand rinsed in the sink in the bathroom. Coffee stains left on outside of mug. As I said in the title, I suspect the rooms are used for students - there is a school across the street.
Lovely hotel. Good breakfast .rooms lovely and clean.tea and coffee facilities in room.also iron and ironing board .close to main road. Good location if going to Wembley .friendly staff . Plenty of parking
Photos on TripAdvisor are exaggerated. Very poor hotel-only good things I can tell are friendly receptionlists and close to Borough market. I cancelled the second night and stayed at Montcalm hotel. If you are affordable to pay 40 $ per day more, it will be far better.
This hotel is run by REALLY nice people - the vibe is excellent and very friendly - and the bed was particularly comfortable. We found the location very convenient and liked the area - it had a real neighborhood feel to it.
Bargain deal hotel with proximity to everything needed and tourist spots. Staff are super helpful and flexible for our girl to join us, they even provide complimentary luggage storage after check out for convenience.
Spent one night here and it wasn't bad. Receptionist was friendly and we were able to get into our room before the advertised check in time. The room was small and the cleaning could do with more attention. We thought it was more of a hostel than a hotel. Good price and not a bad walk from the tube. Not sure id stay here again though - would rather pay a bit more.
The room was clean and tidy, with all necessary facilities inside. Bed was comfortable and solid with clean bedsheets. The hotel was within walking distance of the shops and bus stops. Overall a good hotel in an adequate location.
We stayed at this hotel for a night. The room no 9 is the quiet 1st room behind the lobby. It is comfortable with 2 single beds put together, clean but small, no air conditioning and the pillows are a little thins. We gave 2 medium luggages and it was difficult going around the room when they were opened. The ensuite is clean but the shower door is awkward and the toilet flush is not as strong as we used to. We did not get any free breakfast as per others' reviews. The lady who welcome us is very friendly and helpful. There are 2 free water bottles, tea, coffees, milks and kettle plus a plate of fruits. We did not go around the areas around the hotel but it is only 10 minutes walk from Southwark tube station. We recommend staying at this hotel if you are looking for basic accommodation and would like to visit the local attractions.
Adequate hotel, clean, quiet location. Breakfast only provide coffee, tea, milk and fruits. The room is very small so we don't have much room to move around. The shower is also small and a weird set up (gate), no ac, just fan. Helpfull front desk staff, the price is fair. We will consider to staying back next time we are in London.
